General Safety Guidelines
Before using this device, carefully read this user manual and keep it together with the Warranty Certificate, cashier receipt and if possible, the original package inclusive its interior packing. If you hand on the device to any third person, include the user manual as well.
- Use the device for private and its intended purpose only. The device is not intended for commercial use.
Do not use the device outdoors. Protect it from heat, direct sunlight, humidity (do not immerse into liquids under any circumstances) and sharp edges. Do not use the device with wet hands. If the device gets wet, unplug it immediately. - Always switch off and unplug the device (pull the plug, not the cable) when you do not use the device, or when you attach accessories, during cleaning or malfunctioning.
- Do not leave the device unattended during operation. Always switch off the device when leaving the room. Unplug the device.
- Regularly check the device and cable for signs of damage. Do not continue to operate the device in case of damage.
- Do not repair the device by yourself. Please contact authorized personnel. In order to avoid hazards, a damaged mains cable must be replaced with an equivalent cable by the manufacturer, our customer service or any other qualified specialist.
- Do only use original parts.
- Please observe the following "Special safety instructions".
Children and disabled persons
- For the safety of your children, keep any packing parts (plastic bags, cartilage, Styrofoam etc.) out of their reach.

- This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and/or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
- Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the device.
Special Safety Precautions for this Device

WARNING! The blades of the knives are sharp!
Handle the knives with sufficient care!
There is a risk of injury especially when placing the knives into the bowl, when removing them, and when cleaning them!
- Only use the appliance if it is resting on a non-slip rubber mat.
- Do not use the appliance with empty containers.
- Switch on the unit only when the knife together with the shaft (if required, second knife), the protective cover, and the motor housing has been fitted correctly!
- The motor unit is fitted with a safety switch. Do not use the device if malfunctions have occurred or the safety switch has been tampered with!
- Switch the device off and disconnect from mains power supply before changing accessories!
- Wait for the knife (or knives) to stop before removing the contents of the bowl!
- Only use the device for chopping foodstuffs!
- This device is intended for processing smaller quantities! Only fill the container with quantities given in the table!

Intended Use
This device is intended to chop foodstuffs which are suitable for cutting.
It is only designed for this use and should only be used for this intended purpose.
Only use this device as instructed in this user manual. Do not use this device commercially.
No other use is intended and can cause damage or personal injuries.

Unpack Device
• Take the device out of its packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials, such as foils, filling materials, cable ties and cartons.
- Check that all accessories are included in the box.
i NOTE:
Clean manufacturing residues and dust from the device as described under "Cleaning".
Start-Up
- Prepare the dish. Refer to the table below.
- Place the rubber mat on a level, flat surface. Place the glass container on the rubber mat.

Use one knife or both knives depending on the quantity of the food. Fit the knife (or the knives) carefully into the glass bowl:
3.1. Fit the knife with the shaft onto the glass pin in the center of the container.
3.2. If required, fit the second knife with the blades facing down onto the shaft of the first knife. -
Empty the desired foodstuffs into the container.
i NOTE:
Do not overfill the container; otherwise the foodstuffs cannot be properly chopped (quantities see table)!
- Place the safety cover onto the container in such way that the blade shaft rests in the recess. The safety cover is properly positioned if it cannot be moved.
i NOTE:
Before use, always check that the silicone seal fits correctly.
- Place the motor unit on the cover. In doing so, use the recesses in the safety cover.
7. Electric Connection
Connect the mains plug to a properly installed and earthed 220-240 V\~, 50/60 Hz wall outlet.
i NOTE:
- The motor unit is fitted with a safety switch.

If the device cannot be switched on, check that the motor unit, safety cover and blade are fitted correctly.

Hold the motor housing in your hand and press the LOW or HIGH button at the same time.
LOW = low speed
HIGH = high speed.
The unit starts up.

CAUTION:
This device is suitable for short time operation (KB) of maximum 20 seconds. Leave to cool down for at least 2 minutes before using the device again.
i NOTE:
PULSE OPERATION: Briefly press and release the switch for pulse operation. Use the device in this mode for maximum 1 minute. Leave to cool down for at least 2 minutes before using the device again!

After chopping, take your hand off the motor unit. Disconnect from mains power supply.

Remove the motor unit from the transparent container.
- Lift off the safety cover and carefully remove the blade.
- Now you can empty the contents in the transparent container.
Crushing ice: The blades in the mixing bowl are suitable for breaking ice cubes. Fill the container no higher than the
0.75 marking with ice cubes. Only crush ice cubes in pulse mode.

Obviously, you can chop other foodstuffs as well. Compare with the hardness of the foodstuffs in this table to find out the approximate chopping time; i.e. an apple is about as hard as an onion. In this case follow the instructions in the table for "onions".
Cleaning and Storage

WARNING!
• After use and before cleaning always disconnect from mains power supply!
- Do not submerge the motor unit in water! It could lead to electric shock or fire.
- The cutting edges of the knives are sharp. There is a risk of injury! Handle them with sufficient care!

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for cleaning.
- Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Clean the motor unit with a dry cloth without additional cleaning agents.
Transparent Container, Safety Cover, Blade and Rubber Mat

CAUTION:
- Do not wash these accessories in the dishwasher.
• The surfaces may become dull.
- Wash these accessories manually in dishwater.
- Rinse with clear water and dry with a cloth.
- Assemble the Multi Chopper before storage.
Troubleshooting
Device does not work.
Solution:
Check mains power connection.
Further possible causes:
The device is fitted with a safety switch.
This prevents accidental starting of the motor.
Solution:
Check that the motor unit, safety cover and blade are fitted correctly.
Noise Emission
The sound pressure level was measured close to the ear of an operator (LpA) according to DIN EN ISO 3744.
Resulting sound pressure level: 82.0 dB(A) (no limit)
