- Always remove the food remaining in the oil. Change the oil after using it 8-10 times Always remove the food remaining in the oil. Change the oil after using it 8-10 times.
- Deep frying fat must be capable of being heated to high temperatures. Use high quality frying oil or frying grease. Do not use margarine, olive oil or butter: they are not fi t for frying, because they start to smoke already at low tempera- tures
- We recommend the use of liquid frying oil. NOTE… … if you would like to use fat!
- If you use fat, please divide it up into small pieces.
- Turn the thermostat to a low temperature and add the pieces slowly.
- Once the fat has melted and the correct oil level is reached you can set the desired temperature on the ther- mostat (min. – approx. 130°C, medium setting – approx. 160° C, max. – approx. 190° C).
- Rub dry humid foods with a cloth before frying. Mains Lead Unwind the required length of mains lead from the bottom section or the heating base. Rotating Base Fold out the individual holders so that they are horizontal. The round distance pieces face downwards and subsequently lie on the heating stand. Clamp one of the „lugs“ (see illustration) on to one side of the rotating base fi rst under the main base. Then pull the ring over the hot plate and clamp it underneath. After use you can save space when you store the rotating basis by folding the holders back inwards. Initial Operation of the Fondue Set Please select a suitable non-slip base on which to place your fondue.
- Insert the rotating base as described above. Then insert the sauce vessels into the holders.
- Place the fondue equipment on the heating stand.
- Fill the pot with fat or oil (min. 0.5 l to max. 1.0 l). The most suitable types of oil are frying oils or vegetable oil. Place the upper section on the fondue pot so that it is correctly positioned.
- Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230 V, 50 Hz safety socket.
- Switch on the device and set the highest level. Leave the oil to heat. The control lamp lights up and indicates that the device is switched on.
- With a wooden stick (e.g. shashlik spit or wooden cooking spoon) you can test whether the correct temperature has been reached. When this is inserted into the oil, small air bubbles should rise up along the wooden stick. Alternatively, you can place a piece of the food to be fried into the hot oil
- Place the pieces of meat on the fondue forks and then dip them into the oil. Depending on the size of the meat pieces, the cooking process takes between 4 and 7 minutes, i.e. the smaller the pieces of meat or other food are, the faster they are cooked.
- Adjust the temperature with the regulator such that the oil simmers. The Wok Cooking with a wok stems from Asian cuisine, the main feature of which is that food is cooked for an extremely short time. It is therefore advisable to cut all the ingredients which you need for a wok dish beforehand into „mouth-sized“ pieces (cubes/ strips). This drastically reduces the cooking time and your food will retain its fresh taste. As the temperature of the oil in the wok is higher than normal when food is prepared, please do not use any butter, margarine or olive oil in the wok. The most suitable types of oil are frying oils or vegetable oil. Please do not use any sharp or pointed objects when handling the wok. The most suitable items are wooden utensils. Cooking with the Wok When you have fi nished preparing all the ingredients for your wok dish, unwind the lead completely. Turn the temperature control as far as possible to the left. Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230 V, 50 Hz safety socket.
- Turn the temperature regulator to approximately 1/4 before the maximum and let the wok warm up for a few minutes while empty.
- Put some oil or stock into the wok and add the diced ingre- dients.
- Cook these while stirring or turning constantly.
- If the liquid in the wok evaporates too much and the ingre- dients start to „roast“, add some liquid. Serve the dish as soon as it is ready. Steaming with the Wok
- Pour 2-3 cups of water into the wok and place the grid on it.
- Put the ingredients on the grid and put the cover on.
- Turn the wok to the maximum to heat it up quickly.
- Then set the required temperature. If you are unsure which setting to choose, begin with a low temperature setting and then increase the temperature gradually (also for boiling, frying and fondues).
Switching Off If you would like to stop the cooking process, turn the tempera- ture control to the minimum setting (MIN) and remove the mains plug from the socket. Allow the frying oil a considerable time to cool down. Before continuing to use the full frying pot, please ensure that it is no longer at a dangerous temperature. Mains Lead Take-up Device Wind the mains lead up again on the underside of the heating stand. Cleaning and care
- Always remove the mains plug before cleaning the device.
Under no circumstances must you immerse the hotplate in water in order to clean it. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fi re. Hotplate
- The hotplate should only be wiped off with a damp cloth and then dried with another cloth. Fondue Pot, Wok, Lid and All Accessories CAUTION:
- Do not clean these parts in the dishwasher.
- The surfaces might become dull.
- These parts can be cleaned by hand in soapy water.
- Then rinse off with clean water and dry the parts off. Technical Data Model: ...........................................................................
