General Safety Instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.

• Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.

• The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.

• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by qualified person and with a cable of the same type.

Don't let small children play with foils for danger of suffocation!

• This device is not intended to be used by individuals (including children) who have restricted physical, sensory or mental abilities and/or insufficient knowledge and/or experience, unless they are supervised by an individual who is responsible for their safety or have received instructions on how to use the device.

Children should be supervised at all times in order to ensure that they do not play with the device.

Special Safety Instructions for this Machine

WARNING

• Risk of cuts! The centrifuge sieve and the mixing blades are sharp!
• If the rotating sieve is damaged, the device shall not be operated.
• Always use the supplied tamper. Do not insert your fingers or tools into the filler opening.
• Before replacement of accessories or additional parts which move during operation, the device must be switched off and cut off from the mains.
• Do not touch moving parts.
• Before replacing accessory parts, wait until the knife has stopped.

• Always check that the accessories are seated solidly and securely before switching the device on.

• Do not operate the mixer for more than 1 minute! Afterwards, let it cool for approximately 3 minutes before you use it again.

• Do not touch any moving parts of the machine and always wait for it to stop.
• The machine should only be used under supervision!
• Do not manipulate any of the safety switches!
• Do not remove the lid during operation.
• Do not put your fingers into the filler opening.

Designated use

This device is used for

• Juice extraction from fruit and vegetables
• Mixing of liquids.

Do not use for too hard foodstuffs such as nuts or chocolate.

It is intended for the use in private households and similar applications.

It is only to be used as instructed in this user manual. The appliance is not intended for commercial use.

Any other use shall be considered as not intended use and can lead to material damage or even personal injury.

The manufacturer shall not be liable for damages caused by not intended use.

Unpacking the appliance

1. Remove the device from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging materials like foils, filling materials, cable holders, and carton packaging.
3. Check the scope of deliveries for completeness.

NOTE:

There may still be dust or production remains on the device. We recommend that you clean the device as described under "Cleaning".

Preparations for the Juicer (see Fig. A)

For assembly, also refer to the illustrations on page 3.

1. Set the device so that the switch points towards you.
2. Tilt the safety handle to the right.
3. Attach the pulp container on the left side. In the next step it is secured by the collar of the centrifuge casing.
4. Attach the centrifuge casing on top of the base casing. The base casing has a recess. Here the spout of the centrifuge casing must be placed.

WARNING risk of cuts! The centrifugal sieve is sharp!

1. Place the centrifugal sieve on top of the drive wheel. Press it down. It clicks in place on the drive wheel.
2. Check the centrifugal sieve! Feel under the sieve edge. It should not loosen under slight tension.
3. Attach the transparent cover. It reaches all the way over the pulp container.

i NOTE Your appliance is equipped with a safety switch (4). It prevents accidental motor start. Check the correct attachment of all components, centrifugal sieve and transparent cover.

1. Lock the safety bracket over the transparent cover.
2. Place the juice jug to the right of the appliance.
3. Ensure that the control knob is set to "OFF" position.

Electric Connection

• Before inserting the power plug into the outlet, check that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You can find the required information on the nameplate.
• Connect the device only to a correctly installed safety socket for 220 - 240V 50Hz .

Operation of the Juicer

Display

Your automatic juicer is equipped with a display to read out the switch settings. It is best visible if you look at it horizontally.

Switch Settings

• Press the "P" button for the motor to start immediately with the highest speed.
• Turn the control knob from "OFF" to "ON" for the motor to start at level 1.
  Operation is in addition displayed with an icon.
• Use the control knob to select one of 9 levels.

Which level to select for which fruit?

Please see the following overview to answer this question.

1 - 2 Tomatoes, Melons

2 - 4 Plums, Pears (soft), Peaches, Mangoes (peeled), Kiwis (peeled)

4 - 6 Oranges (peeled)

6 - 8 Cucumber

9 Pineapple (peeled), Pears (hard), Carrots, Celery, Apples

• Wash the fruit to be processed.
• Cut the fruit in pieces to fit through the filler opening.
• Remove larger pips and stems.

Extracting Juice

NOTE:

The appliance is intended for short-term use. Allow a pause of 3 minutes after 1 minute of operation.

WARNING!

Check all accessories again for proper attachment before switching the appliance on.

1. Set the switch to the desired position. The motor starts running.
2. Insert the fruit pieces in the filler opening and push them down with the tamper. Please note! The tamper has a guideway in the filler opening.
3. The juice flows out at the right side of the casing. The pulp is collected in the pulp container.

NOTE:

• Observe the juice jug. Stop operation in time to prevent overflowing.
• Small fruit, such as berries, are difficult to process with the centrifugal method. Use the berry press instead.

Stop Operation And Disassembly

1. Set the control knob to "OFF" position and wait until the centrifugal sieve has come to a complete standstill.
2. Disconnect from mains power supply.
3. Take the juice jug to the side and open the safety bracket.
4. Remove the transparent cover.
5. Remove the centrifugal sieve with the centrifuge casing. Use both hands to lift the centrifuge casing up.

WARNING risk of cuts! The centrifugal drive has sharp knives! Only take hold of the outer plastic edge.

1. Lift the centrifugal sieve out of the centrifuge casing.

Assembly of the Mixing Vessel and the Lid (see Fig. B)

1. Hold the mixing vessel so that the handle is on the right side.
2. Place the mixing vessel onto the device base so that the symbol at the lower edge of the vessel points to the symbol of the device base.
3. The symbols must be directly one above the other.
4. Set the black lid onto the vessel so that its flap closes the pouring opening of the mixing vessel.
5. Set the cap of the filling opening into the black lid.
6. Turn the cap a short distance in clockwise direction to lock it.

Operation of the Mixing Attachment

CAUTION:

• Always switch off the device before removing the mixing vessel from the base.
• Always wait until the mixing knife has stopped turning.
• The glass can crack in case of high temperatures! Do not fill in liquids with a temperature over 60^ .
• Do not overfill the mixing vessel! You can fill in a maximum of 1.8 litres. Observe the gradation on the vessel.
• Do not fall short of the quantity of 0.6 litres! The mixing knives could run dry and damage the seal.
• Never fill hard ingredients into the mixing vessel! This is a mixer, not a mincer. Ingredients like nuts, ice, and coffee beans damage the device.

NOTE:

• The mixer functions only when the symbols and are exactly one above the other.

• The device is intended for short-time operation. Wait for 3 minutes after operation for 1 minute.

• Cut fruit in advance into smaller pieces.

• Set the mixing vessel onto the base device, if that has not yet been done.
• Fill the liquid to be mixed into the vessel.
• Set the lid with the cap onto the vessel.

NOTE:

Do you want to add sugar or spices to your mixed drink?

• First switch off the device.
• Remove the cap and fill in through the opening.
• Reinsert the cap into the lid.

WARNING:

• Do not operate the mixing vessel empty or without the lid.

• Do not reach into the mixing vessel! The blades are sharp and rotate at high speed. Serious injuries could result.

• Check that the rotary switch is set to "OFF".

• Plug the power plug into a correctly installed safety socket for 220 - 240 V, 50 Hz.
• Switch the device on with the rotary switch or use the pulse operation "P".

For uniform mixing

(continuous operation)

For this operation, select a step from 1 to 9 with the rotary switch. Look at the display.

Step 1 = low speed

Step 9 = high speed

Set the switch to "OFF" to switch off the unit.

For pulse operation

(mixing in short intervals)

a. Turn the rotary switch to "OFF". The device now has been switched off.
b. Press the button "P" according to the desired interval duration.
c. The motor automatically stops when you release the button "P".

1. Lift the mixing vessel from the device base to pour the drink.

Ending the Operation

1. Set the rotary switch to "OFF" or release the button "P".
2. Wait until the mixing knife has stopped.
3. Pull the mains plug from the outlet.

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Before cleaning always disconnect from mains power supply.
• Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.
• The centrifuge sieve is very sharp! Danger of injury!

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• Do not leave the pulp to dry on the centrifugal sieve. The fine pores will clog and become useless.

Tip

Remove residues in the centrifugal sieve immediately under running water. Use a dishwashing brush.

Directly after you have mixed your drink: Fill the mixing vessel with lukewarm water to half capacity. Press the button "P" repeatedly.

Now the vessel has been precleaned.

For cleaning the outside of the machine use only a damp washing-up cloth.

WARNING in regard to risk of cuts! The centrifuge sieve and the mixing blade are sharp!

• Clean these components in a rinsing bath.
• Clean the centrifugal sieve with a dishwashing brush. See Figure.
• Rinse with clean water.

Storage

• Clean the device as described. Let the accessories dry completely.
  We recommend that you store the device in its original packaging when it is not to be used for a longer period.
  Always store the device at a well ventilated and dry place outside the reach of children.

Troubleshooting

Malfunction Possible cause Remedy

	Too much residue in the centrifuge sieve.	When processing larger quantities clean the centrifugal sieve in-between.
Liquids are not mixed correctly.	You have too much or too little liquid in the vessel.	Vary the quantity of the liquid.
	The speed is too high. Start with a lower speed which you can increase later.
