3. BEBÈCARE BebèCare was designed and developed to signal the presence of the baby in the car seat and to notify the user when accidentally moving away from the car without the baby, thanks to the presence of sensors integrated in the car seat.

BebèCare was designed and developed for use only with minors with a total weight between 4 and 13 kg. THIS PRODUCT COMPLIES WITH THE DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU. The equipment works together with the Bluetooth® Low-Energy standard. • Frequency ranges: 2.402 GHz – 2.480 GHz ISM band; • Channels: 40 channels, each with a band with equal to 2 MHz; • Transmission power: - 4 dBm (transmitted to the antenna); • Maximum power; 0.398 mW;

+60° C) and humidity (< 95%). • The use of any unapproved accessory does not guarantee the correct operation of BebèCare. • The smartphone must be turned on and have a sufficient battery charge for the period of use when paired with BebèCare. • During the first installation and each time the family account is entered, an internet connection must be available (mobile data or WiFi network).

3.1 HOW TO ACTIVATE BEBÈCARE a) Download the BebèCare APP The BebèCare APP must be downloaded.

When accessing for the first time, the APP will provide all the instructions to follow to register the account and use BebèCare. b) Create the family account A “family account” must be created with a single password. This account will be the only one that can be used by those who use that specific car seat with BebèCare. The password is shared with all users who interact with the car seat on which BebèCare is installed. IMPORTANT: When creating the family account, an internet connection must be available (mobile data or WiFi network). IMPORTANT: If the family password is changed, the new password must be shared with all the users who use the same family account.

A minimum of 1 to a maximum of 5 emergency numbers must be entered. The emergency numbers must be selected from the contacts in your smartphone and can be added, deleted and/or replaced in the future. IMPORTANT: During this operation, an internet connection must be available (mobile data or WiFi network). IMPORTANT: The emergency numbers must be mobile phone numbers and not landline or national emergency numbers. IMPORTANT: Always check that the emergency numbers are correct and are functioning after entering them. 24

that the smartphone that is connected to the car seat moves away from the car in which the car seat is installed with the baby in the car.

BebèCare has two alarm levels: 1. First level alarm: if the smartphone moves away from the car in which the car seat is installed with the baby in the car, an acoustic and visual alarm will appear on the smartphone that can be silenced within 40 seconds. If the smartphone moves towards close to the car seat, this will not stop the alarm, and it will be necessary to interact with the APP by pressing the “STOP” button. 2. Second level alarm: this is activated the moment in which the first level alarm was not silenced within the time window provided for the first level alarm, and sends an SMS to all the predefined emergency numbers with the information needed for geolocating the area where the baby is located. If there is no signal, BebèCare will correctly activate the first level alarm, however it is not able to send the SMS to the emergency numbers (second level alarm). The cost of the SMS is always charged to the user according to your phone rate plan.

d) Associate the car seat with the family account

To associate the car seat with BebèCare to the family account , proceed with scanning the QR code on the car seat. The QR code is printed on the type approval label and can only be seen after removing the silver film. By scanning the QRCode, the application recognises the car seat model, then simply turn on Bluetooth®, apply pressure on the car seat and move the smartphone near the car seat to be associated and connect the car seat with the family account. Up to a maximum of 3 car seats with BebèCare can be associated with the same family account. The specific car seat can be associated with ONLY one family account. IMPORTANT: If the QR code is already visible or partially visible, contact Customer Service. IMPORTANT: When scanning the QR code, an internet connection must be available (mobile data or WiFi network). e) Check the correct operation of the sensors Periodically perform pressure tests on the car seat (safety, during the journey on they may harm) to check that BebèCare is functioning. f) Enter the information about the baby After associating the car seat with the family account, enter the name and date of birth of the child. You can also enter a photograph. Artsana does not guarantee equipment operation in conditions other than those indicated above, or in the case of improper use (including, but not limited to, use with minors who are not correctly secured to the car seat, if used with animals, etc.). 3.2 HOW BEBÈCARE FUNCTIONS The system is activated/connected after a few seconds from the moment the baby is placed in the car seat and signals the presence of the baby in the car seat via the APP. The activation/connection time varies based on the specific characteristics of the smartphone; in some cases, a few dozen seconds may be necessary. The alarm system is activated the moment

3.3 USING THE BEBÈCARE APP ON MULTIPLE DEVICES After registering the family account and associating the car seat with BebèCare using the smartphone by scanning the QR code, it is possible to use BebèCare also with other smartphones that have the BebèCare

APP installed. It is possible to use the same family account with an unlimited number of devices that have previously installed the BebèCare APP. The settings predefined using the first smartphone (emergency numbers, association of the car seat and the child’s data) will be automatically available also on the other smartphones with the BebèCare APP and that are using the same family account. IMPORTANT: if the family password is changed, the new password must be shared with all the users who use the same family account. IMPORTANT: if there are two smartphones in the same car that were previously as-

sociated with the car seat and both have the BebèCare APP active, the car seat will connect with ONLY one of the two based on the reactivity of the Bluetooth® system of the individual smartphones and this condition cannot be changed until the baby is removed from the car seat or until the

Bluetooth® signal is lost. If the person with the smartphone that is connected with the car seat at that moment moves away from the car with the baby in the car seat: • the first level alarm will activate on the smartphone, which can be silenced by interacting with the APP and pressing the “STOP” button. This prevents the SMS from being sent to the emergency numbers; • after a few seconds, the second smartphone that is still in the car will automatically connect with the car seat. WARNING: if two or more smartphones are used that have the BebèCare APP installed, it is necessary to identify which one is effectively connected to the car seat and therefore must never be abandoned.
