SOMMAIRE

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• All safety instructions must be closely followed when using the appliance.
• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with flammable propellant in this appliance.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
• Children from 3 to 8 years old are allowed to load and unload refrigeration appliances.
• To avoid food contamination, please follow the below instructions:
• The door openings for a long period of time may cause a significant increase in temperature in the appliance's compartments.
• Clean regularly the surfaces that might be in contact with food and accessible evacuation systems.
• Clean the water tank if it hasn't been used for 48 h; rinse the distribution system connected to the water distribution network if water has not been withdrawn for 5 days.
• If the refrigerator appliance remains empty for a long period

of time, unplug it by defrosting, cleaning, drying and leaving the door open to prevent the development of mould inside the appliance.

• WARNING: when positioning the appliance, make sure that the power cable is not trapped or damaged.
• WARNING: do not place multiple mobile sockets or mobile power supplies on the rear of the appliance.
• WARNING: keep the ventilation grilles of the enclosure of the appliance or of the built-in cabinet clear.
• WARNING: do not use mechanical devices or similar to accelerate the defrosting process other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
• WARNING: do not use electrical devices inside food-preservation compartment unless they're of a type recommended by the manufacturer.
• WARNING: do not damage the refrigeration circuit.
• Remove all packing materials and carefully check your ice cream maker to ensure that it is in good condition and that the main body, power cable, and plug are not damaged.
• Before using the ice cream maker for the first time, wait 2 hours after installation and keep the lid open for at least 2 hours.
• Do not get the cable, plug, or ventilation outlets wet. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids to avoid electric shocks.
• If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the supplier, or qualified personnel to avoid hazards.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains before cleaning and after every use.

• Do not turn the appliance upside down or tilt it more than 45° .

• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.

• Do not use the appliance near naked flames or working hobs or stoves.
• Do not press the power button too often (wait at least 5 minutes) to avoid damage to the compressor.
• When removing the ice cream, take care not to strike the surface or rim of the bowl to avoid damaging it.
• Do not operate the appliance with the removable bowl or mixing paddle not properly installed and well positioned.
• The initial temperature for making ice cream is 20 ± 3 °C. Prepared ice cream must not be placed in the refrigerator for freezing and then put back into the ice cream maker for processing. Pre-solidified ice cream may block the motor and damage it.
• Once the appliance starts cooling down, do not remove the motor or the transparent lid during operation.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Do not use chemical detergents or hard tools to clean the appliance. The bowl is not dishwasher safe.
• If you turn on the ice cream maker without adding ice cream ingredients, you will hear the mixing paddle slightly scraping the removable bowl, which is normal.
• The refrigerant and blowing insulation gas are flammable: dispose of the appliance only at an authorised waste disposal facility. Do not expose the appliance to flames.

This symbol indicates that the refrigerant and non-metallic materials in the appliance are flammable. Pay attention to it. Warning: Risk of fire/flammable materials

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any

piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. ASSEMBLY

1. Place the removable bowl inside the ice cream maker.
2. Fit the motor into the transparent lid.
3. Firmly fix the mixing paddle to the motor shaft.
4. Fit the filling lid onto the transparent lid.
5. Place the lid-motor-paddle assembly on the inner ice cream maker compartment and turn until it clicks and locks into place.

Note:

• Thoroughly clean all parts that will be in contact with food before using the ice cream maker. Be sure to unplug the power cable before cleaning the ice cream maker.
• When making ice cream, place the appliance on a horizontal and level surface to ensure proper operation of the compressor.

4. OPERATION

Button functions:

1. Ice Cream mode: The default operating time of the Ice Cream mode is 60 minutes, adjustable from 5 to 90 minutes. This mode cools down the ingredients as they are mixed, thus achieving ice cream.
2. Cooling mode: The default operating time for Cooling mode is 30 minutes, adjustable from 5 to 90 minutes. This mode cools down the ingredients without mixing them.
3. Mixing mode: The default operating time for Mixing mode is 10 minutes, adjustable from 5 to 90 minutes. This mode mixes the ingredients without cooling them down.

Operation

- Pour the ingredients into the removable bowl following recipe instructions. Mix well and insert the removable bowl vertically into the inner compartment of the ice cream maker. Make sure that both the bowl and the inner compartment are dry before use to prevent possible remaining water to freeze the bowl in place and damage it. Then fit the motor into the transparent lid (remember that the motor cannot be removed during operation), securely fix the mixing paddle to the motor shaft, and place the assembly vertically inside the removable bowl; align the direction arrow on the motor surface with the unlock icon on

the lid and place the assembly in position. Turn the transparent lid clockwise until tightly closed; you can open the filling lid to pour in more ingredients during the process and better check on the mixture. Fig. 3

• Plug the ice cream maker to a power outlet: the display will turn on and show '00:00'. Press the mode button to select the desired mode. Press the Start/Pause button to start the appliance, e.g., in Ice Cream mode: the mixing paddle will rotate clockwise and the corresponding indicator icon will light up on the display. Once finished, the display will show '00:00' and the ice cream maker will beep 3 times.
• Switch off and unplug the ice cream maker after every use. Turn the transparent lid counterclockwise until it points to the unlock icon and remove the lid, mixing paddle, and bowl. Finally, enjoy your ice cream by eating it out of the bowl with a spoon.
• The compressor cannot be activated immediately after prior switch-off, so it is necessary to wait a few minutes before resuming use of the ice cream maker. If you press the Start/Pause button in Cooling mode, the compressor will stop working immediately, and will rest for 3 minutes before reactivation. If you press the Start/Pause button in Ice Cream mode, the compressor will continue to run for 3 minutes, and will take more than 3 minutes to reactivate after stopping.
• Ambient temperature and ingredient amount (among other factors) may affect the operation of the motor; if the latter is affected, the motor protection function will activate automatically.

Motor block detection:

• If the motor remains blocked for more than three seconds in Mixing mode, the ice cream maker will stop working.
• If the motor remains blocked for more than three seconds in Cooling mode, the ice cream maker will go into cold-insulation mode.

Controlling the volume of ingredients

To avoid wasting food and overflows, make sure the ingredients do not exceed 60% of the bowl capacity (ice cream expands during preparation).

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning:

Switch off the appliance before cleaning to avoid electric shocks.

1. Remove the lid-motor-paddle assembly and disassemble all parts before cleaning them with soap and a damp cloth. Be especially careful with the motor.
2. Remove the bowl and clean it with a soft, damp cloth and soap.
3. Remove dirt with a damp cloth and do not pour water over the cable, plug, and ventilation

outlets or immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

1. Dry the appliance thoroughly with a dry cloth before reassembly.

2. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem	Possible cause	Solution
The removable bowl cannot be removed after the ice cream has been prepared.	The inner compartment and the removable bowl have not dried well, and the water residue froze.	Wait 5 to 8 minutes before removing the bowl.
The control panel display flashes.	The lid-motor-paddle assembly is not correctly positioned.	Turn the assembly until correctly locked in position.
The compressor does not work.	The compressor was activated immediately after prior operation.	Do not activate the compressor immediately after prior operation. The compressor protection system protects the compressor for 5 minutes. Wait 5 minutes before reactivation.
	Mixing mode is enabled.	Select another mode.
	The fan does not work, causing subsequent overheating of the appliance.	Unplug the appliance and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
The mixing paddle does not rotate.	The mixing paddle is not correctly installed.	Properly install the mixing paddle following the instructions in this manual.
	Cooling mode is enabled.	Select another mode.
	Malfunctioning or broken motor.	Unplug the appliance and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
Too much ice or dirt.	Too much liquid in the ingredients.	Adjust the milk or cream amount accordingly.

The appliance suddenly stops working.	Operation is interrupted in the middle of the preparation process.	The appliance includes an integrated control system. The system automatically stops the ice cream maker and switches it to Cooling mode for 10 minutes, then switches it off.
	Insufficient ventilation and excessive internal temperature.	The appliance is too close to the wall, making it difficult to ventilate the appliance and causing subsequent overheating the motor and compressor, causing the ice cream maker to switch off. Move the appliance at least 20 cm away from the wall until internal temperature decreases.
Ice cream isn't properly made.	Preparation time has not been set correctly.	Set the preparation time based on the added ingredient.
	Mixing mode is enabled.	Select another mode.
	The added ingredients do not mix well.	Always mash the fruit to a puree. Always melt the chocolate before adding it to the mixture.
The appliance does not switch on.	Abnormal operation.	Unplug the appliance and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
