- This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years old and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children
unless they are over 8 years old and are under supervision.

Connect the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cable into the socket. To disconnect the appliance, first switch it off by pressing the power switch and then unplug it from the mains socket.

Keep hands and face as far away from the heating element as possible to avoid burns.
- It is normal for the marshmallows to give off steam when heated. For your safety, avoid contact with the steam, as it is very hot and can cause burns.
- Do not use plastic forks, wooden or bamboo chopsticks or other flammable utensils while using the appliance. Always use the metal forks supplied with the appliance.
- The appliance is equipped with a short power cable to prevent tripping or entanglement accidents.
- If a longer removable power cable or extension lead is used:
- Be careful when using them.
- The electrical rating of the cable or extension lead must be equal to or greater than the electrical rating of the appliance.
- If you use a longer cable or extension lead, make sure that the cable does not hang over the countertop or table where you are going to place it, as you could pull it out and unintentionally disconnect it or trip over it.
- Cecotec does not recommend the use of this appliance in countries that do not support 120 V AC power, even if a voltage adapter, transformer or converter is used.

2. BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the device if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
- Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

3. ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE
- Pass the plug end of the power cable through the hole in the centre of the tray.
- The cable must fit between one of the holes in the removable trays so that it can be plugged into the mains socket.
- Place the marshmallows maker in the centre of the tray.
4. OPERATION
- Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface near a power outlet.
Note: allow sufficient space around the appliance to ensure adequate ventilation. - Make sure that the cable is away from any water sources.
- Plug the appliance to a power supply.
- Fill the trays with marshmallows, crackers, chocolate or your choice of ingredients.
- Press the power switch to switch on the appliance.
- After a while, the heating element and the top cover will heat up to red-hot.
- Prick the marshmallow on the tip of the metal fork provided.
- Hold the handle of the fork and bring the marshmallow close to the top cover of the heating element. Turn it frequently to ensure that the marshmallow is evenly toasted.
- When the marshmallow has reached the desired colour and browning point, serve it on one of the trays.
- Once you have finished using it, press the power switch to switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains.
By following these simple instructions, you can enjoy the marshmallow maker together with friends, family and even children of all ages.
Tips
Marshmallows
Sometimes the marshmallows are a bit deformed. Before pricking them with a fork, it is best to mould them a little first so that they recover their shape and can be toasted evenly.
Heating the marshmallows
Do not heat the marshmallows too much, as they could melt and fall on the top cover, sticking to it and causing smoke and even fire. In the event of a piece of marshmallow or other ingredient falling on the top cover, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains socket. Wait for the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning it.
5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Be sure to unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Allow all parts to cool completely, especially the heating element and the top cover.
To extend the lifespan of the marshmallow maker, follow the maintenance instructions below:
- Switch the appliance off by pressing the power switch and unplug it from the mains socket.
- Allow the appliance to cool down for at least 20 minutes before cleaning it.
Note: the top cover shall be warm to the touch.
- Once the appliance has cooled down, remove the top cover. Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth or wash it with soap and warm water. Then, rinse it with tap water.
- Before storing, dry the appliance housing, top cover, trays and forks thoroughly. Make sure the appliance has cooled down completely and is dry before storing it.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
- Do not wash the appliance in dishwashers.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water, as this may damage the electrical components.
- Any other maintenance work must be carried out by a qualified technician.
