Refrigerant

• Isobutane refrigerant (R600a), contained within the refrigeration circuit of the appliance, is a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility; however, it is flammable. Make sure that no components of the refrigeration circuit have been damaged during the transport and installation of the appliance.
• WARNING: the refrigerant and the insulator gas are flammable. When disposing of the appliance, only dispose of it at an authorised waste-disposal facility. Do not expose it to flames.
• WARNING: the appliance contains refrigerant and gases in the insulation. The appliance and gases must be disposed of professionally, as they may cause injuries to eyes or ignition. Make sure the refrigeration-circuit pipe is not damaged before disposing of it correctly.
• WARNING: risk of fire. If the refrigeration circuit is damaged:
• Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.
• Fully ventilate the room where the appliance is located.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the appliance from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.

- Do not remove the product's serial number in order to keep proper traceability if technical assistance is required.

3. INSTALLATION

• This appliance is designed to be free standing only and should not be recessed or integrated.

• Place the unit on a floor strong enough to support the weight of the unit when fully loaded. To level the unit, adjust the leveling feet located on the bottom of the unit.

• Leave 10 cm of space between the top, back and sides of the unit, which will allow for proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser.

• Place the unit away from direct sunlight and heat sources (stoves, heaters, radiators, etc.). Direct sunlight can affect the acrylic coating and heat sources can increase power consumption. Extremely cold ambient temperatures may also prevent the unit from operating properly.
• Avoid placing the device in humid areas.
• Plug the unit into a dedicated, properly installed and grounded outlet. Under no circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) pin from the power cord. Any questions regarding power and/or grounding should be directed to a certified electrician or an authorized Products service center.
• After plugging the appliance into an outlet, allow it to cool for 2-3 hours before placing any items in the compartment.

4. OPERATION

The wine cooler has 6 shelves in total.

Note:

• Do not lift the unit by the door handle.
• Never install or operate the unit behind closed doors.
• Make sure the front grille is free of obstructions. Obstruction of the airflow may cause the unit to malfunction and will void the warranty.
• Failure to clean the condenser every six months may cause the unit to malfunction.
• Allow the temperature of the unit to stabilize for 24 hours before use.
• Do not block any internal fans.
• Use only original spare parts. Non-original parts may damage the unit, affect its operation or performance and may void the warranty.

Connecting the appliance to the mains

- Plug the appliance to an earthed wall socket. The required nominal voltage and frequency are indicated on the nameplate.

Automatic-lock function

If no operation is performed on the keys for 20 seconds, they will be locked automatically. Once locked, the increase and decrease keys cannot be used. The unlock key and the light/°C/°F key will function normally.

Light auto switch-off function

If no operation is performed using the buttons within 10 minutes, the light will turn off automatically.

Setting range

Upper compartment:

• Minimum value: 5°C / 41°F
• Maximum value: 18°C / 64°F

Lower compartment:

• Minimum value: 5°C / 41°F
• Maximum value: 18°C / 64°F

Display range

Control panel temperature display range: 0-37°C / 32-99°F.

Temperature display operation

To ensure a stable and clear reading, the control panel will display the set temperature in the following cases:

• In Celsius mode: When the temperature measured by the probe is within ± 1°C of the set temperature value.
• In Fahrenheit mode: When the temperature measured by the probe is within ± 2°F of the set temperature value.

Error code

- EE: "EE" is displayed when the temperature probe is shorted or disconnected, flashes and cooling stops.

• LL: When the temperature measured by the temperature probe is below 0 degrees Celsius, "LL" is displayed, flashes and cooling stops.
• HH: When the temperature measured by the temperature probe is higher than 37 °C, "HH" is displayed, flashes and cooling stops.

Forced defrosting function

When the compressor runs for 12 hours, the compressor will stop running for 30 minutes.

Memory function

The control board is reactivated after each shutdown, the temperature setting value and Fahrenheit/Celsius status will be the same as before shutdown, and the duration of the shutdown time is not limited.

Tips

• This wine cooler is designed to be used exclusively for wine storage.
• This refrigerator appliance is not suitable for freezing food.
• It is recommended that the wine cooler be set to 12°C.
• The factory mode shelf arrangement is the most energy efficient for refrigeration appliances.
• The following combination of shelves is recommended for the refrigeration unit to use energy as efficiently as possible.

- When the ambient temperature is 25°C and the wine cooler is empty, it will take approximately 30 minutes to increase the wine cooler temperature from 5°C to 12°C. Under the same conditions, it will take approximately one hour to decrease the wine cooler temperature from 12°C to 5°C. The smaller the temperature range, the less time it will take.

- It is recommended that the wine cooler be set at 12° C. If the set temperature is higher than 12° C, the energy consumption will be lower. If the set temperature is lower than 12° C, the energy consumption will be higher.

- When the compressor runs for 12 hours, the compressor will stop and defrost for 40 minutes.

Energy saving tips

• Avoid opening the door too often, especially in hot and humid weather. Once you open the door, close it as soon as possible.
• Check periodically whether the air circulation at the rear of the appliance is adequate.
• Increase the temperature when possible (this will depend on the number of bottles stored, room temperature, etc.).

Wine storage

- This appliance is intended exclusively for wine storage.

ENGLISH

• The wine cooler is designed to store a maximum of 52 x 750 ml Bordeaux type bottles, following the layout shown in figure 4.
• You can store larger bottles. However, you must ensure beforehand that they do not prevent the door from closing properly.
• Capacity will vary depending on the arrangement of bottles or their size.
• If the wine cooler is going to be empty for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains, clean it and leave the door open for ventilation.
• The table below shows the recommended storage temperature for each type of beverage:

NOTE:

These temperatures are indicative as they depend on many factors; always consider the wine manufacturer's instructions.

• Exposure to light, vibrations, or fluctuations in temperature and humidity can cause the wine to spoil. When properly stored, wines not only maintain their quality but many improve in aroma, flavour and complexity as they mature.
• Wines stored at higher temperatures age faster. Wines exposed to temperatures above 18 °C (64 °F) will lose flavour and aroma.
• If wine is kept at too low a temperature, it can lead to the appearance of damaging deposits. A humidity of 60%\~70% is ideal to prevent corks from shrinking.
• After opening a wine bottle, the wine comes into contact with air. Therefore, it is better to store the rest of the bottle in an upright position to minimise the wine surface that comes into contact with air.
• Once opened, wine will be drinkable for two days in the case of whites or three days in the case of reds, provided the bottle has been resealed. Make sure the seal is tight by checking the stopper.
• Special stoppers that keep sparkling wine and champagne bubbling for one or two days after opening can be purchased at most wine shops.
• When purchasing a wine bottle, it is recommended to store it immediately in the wine cooler.
• To maximise wine aroma and flavour, never fill more than half a glass at a time. It will also help if the glass shape is appropriate for the wine. The size and shape of the wine glass will determine the aroma's intensity and complexity. The stem should be long enough to avoid hand contact with the bowl of the glass and should be tulip-shaped or tapered at the top.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always unplug the wine cooler and remove the bottles before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
• Wash the inside with a solution of warm water and baking soda. The solution should be approximately 2 tablespoons of baking soda per liter of water.
• The exterior of the wine cooler should be cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water. Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean any part of the unit.
• Wash the shelves with a mild detergent solution.
• Drain excess water from the sponge before cleaning the control panels or any electrical parts.

Automatic defrost

If there is a layer of frost on the rear wall of the appliance, the refrigerator will remove it automatically, without the need for you to intervene.

Moving your wine cellar

• Remove all bottles.
• Secure all loose objects inside your wine cooler with tape.
• Rotate the leveling feet up to the base to avoid damage.
• Seal the door with tape.
• Make sure that the wine cooler remains in an upright position during transport.

Power failure

- Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect the temperature of your wine cooler. If the power outage is prolonged, appropriate measures must be taken to protect its contents.

Inactividad

- If the unit will not be used for less than three weeks, leave the wine cooler in operation. If the period of inactivity is several months or more, remove all items and turn the unit off. Clean and dry the interior thoroughly.

Operating noises

- In order to achieve the desired temperature settings, wine coolers, like other refrigeration appliances that operate with compressors and fans, can produce the following types of noises. These noises are normal and may occur:

o Gurgling sound: caused by coolant flow.
- Crackling/crackling sounds: result of the contraction and expansion of the refrigerant gas to produce cold.
o Fan operation sound: to circulate the air inside the wine cooler.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

Description of common faults

If the product does not work properly, please check and proceed according to the methods listed below. If the problem persists, contact your local after-sales service center in time and be sure to provide the model name and product number in detail.

The refrigerator is not working

• Make sure the appliance is correctly plugged in and switched on.
• Check that the power supply voltage is not too low.

It makes noise

• The floor on which the device is placed is not flat or the product is not placed in a stable position.
• The product is in contact with external objects or walls.

The internal temperature is not low

• The set temperature is incorrect; please select the correct temperature.
• The door is not properly closed, opens too often or the opening time is excessive.
• The location of the appliance is exposed to direct sunlight or too close to the stove and other heat sources.
• There is poor heat dissipation; check if there is sufficient ventilation space around the product.
