How to factory reset the ZTE Grand X IN?

To reset your device, go to Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset. Confirm the operation. Caution: all data will be erased.

How to insert a SIM card and a microSD card?

Remove the back cover and battery. Insert the SIM card (micro-SIM) into the designated slot and the microSD card into the corresponding slot. Put back the battery and cover.

My phone won’t charge anymore, what should I do?

Check the cable and charger, try a different outlet. If the problem persists, carefully clean the charging port. If necessary, replace the battery.

How to take a screenshot?

Press the power button and volume down button simultaneously. The image will be saved in the gallery.

The touch screen is not responding properly, what should I do?

Try restarting the phone. If the problem persists, check that a screen protector is not interfering. As a last resort, perform a factory reset.

How to transfer files from my computer?

Connect the phone to the computer via a USB cable. On the phone, select ‘File transfer’ from the USB options. You can then copy files between the two devices.

The battery drains quickly, what should I do?

Reduce screen brightness, disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when not in use, and close background apps. Also check apps that consume a lot of power in battery settings.

How to update the Android system?

Go to Settings > About phone > Software updates. If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions. Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi and have sufficient battery.

Can I use the device without a SIM card?

Yes, you can use the phone in airplane mode or without a SIM card for functions like music, photos, and offline apps. However, calls and SMS will not be possible.

How to clean the screen and the case?

Turn off the device. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly damp (no harsh cleaners). Gently wipe the screen and case. Do not spray liquid directly on the phone.

Power Key

• Press and hold to turn on or off Silent, Vibration or Airplane mode, or to power off your phone.
• After power on, press to switch your phone to Sleep mode.

Powering On/Off Your Phone

Make sure the SIM is in your device and the battery is charged.

• Press and hold the Power Key to switch on your phone.
• To switch it off, press and hold the Power Key and touch Power off > OK.

Waking Up Your Phone

If your phone is in Sleep Mode, you can wake it up by...

1. Press the Power Key to turn the screen on.
2. Long press the 📄 icon to unlock the screen and keys.

If you have set an ‘unlock pattern’, PIN or password for your phone, you’ll need to draw the pattern or enter the PIN/password to unlock your screen.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)

Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines. These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organization ICNIRP and include safety margins designed to assure the protection of all persons, regardless of age and health.

The guidelines use a unit of measurement known as Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2 W/kg and the highest SAR value for this device when tested was 0.572 W/kg. As mobile devices offer a range of functions, they can be used in other positions, such as on the body.
