The Lumie BodyClock Advanced 200 is a programmable wake-up light and not a detector reacting to external sunlight. If your device does not turn on for the alarm function, first check that the button A is in the raised (ON) position and that the alarm indicator is lit on the screen - this is the mandatory condition for the wake-up light to activate.

Next, check that you have correctly programmed the desired wake-up time. By default, it is set for 7 AM. The programmed sunrise begins automatically 30 minutes before this time (it is possible to change this duration to 15, 60, or 90 minutes). Ensure that the current time on the device is set correctly, as if the internal clock is inaccurate, the wake-up sequence will not trigger at the expected time.

Also, check that the halogen bulb is fully screwed in to its socket. If the bulb is loose, the light will not turn on. You can confirm this by unscrewing it slightly and then screwing it back in firmly. If the problem persists, the bulb may be defective - replace it with a compatible E14 (SES) 42W halogen bulb.

A common issue may be the unintentional activation of the SECURITY mode. This mode makes the light flash randomly between 4 PM and 11 PM to simulate presence. If you see "SECURITY" displayed on the screen, press P until you see "SECURITY OFF", then press + or - to switch to "SECURITY OFF". Wait 12 seconds to return to normal operation.

Finally, perform a full reset: unplug the device from the socket for at least 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
