How do I use the coffee grinder?

Pour coffee beans into the stainless steel container (max 50 g or about 1/3 of the lid). Place the lid securely, plug in, and hold down the pulse switch to grind. Release the switch to stop. The longer you grind, the finer the coffee. Do not exceed 1 minute of continuous grinding.

How do I clean the grinder?

Unplug the appliance. Remove the lid and wipe the container with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the grinder in water or rinse it. Never use a wet cloth.

Can I grind other ingredients besides coffee?

No, this grinder is designed only for grinding coffee beans. Using it for other ingredients may damage the blades or pose a safety risk.

Why does my grinder stop during use?

The grinder may have activated its thermal fuse due to overheating. This happens if you grind continuously for more than 1 minute. Let the motor cool down for 10-15 minutes before using again.

How fine can I grind the coffee?

The fineness depends on grinding time. For a coarse grind, pulse for a few seconds; for fine espresso grind, grind up to 15 seconds (with max load). Do not overgrind to avoid burning the coffee.

Is the coffee grinder dishwasher safe?

No, never immerse the grinder in water or place it in a dishwasher. Only wipe the container with a damp cloth.

What should I do if the blade becomes dull?

1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and that the socket is properly grounded. The outlet must be installed in accordance with applicable electrical codes according to EN.
2. Never use the appliance if the power cord is damaged or if the appliance is broken, if you have dropped or otherwise damaged the appliance. All repairs, including cord replacements, must be carried out at a professional service centre! Do not remove the protective covers from the appliance; there is a risk of electric shock!

5. Pay closer attention when using the appliance near children.

7. When handling the cutting blades, especially when unloading the container and during cleaning, be careful because the blades are very sharp and can cause injury.

8. Do not use the device for any other purpose than the stated one.

9. Do not leave the appliance unattended with the power cord plugged in. Prior to maintenance, installation, assembly, disassembly or cleaning, unplug the power cord from the electric outlet. Do not remove the power cord from the outlet by yanking the cord. Unplug the power cord from the outlet by grasping the plug.

10. Do not use the appliance close to a source of heat, e.g. oven. Protect it against direct sunlight.

11. Never cover the appliance during operation and do not use it close to flammable materials, e.g. curtains, etc.

12. Never place materials such as paper, metal, cardboard, plastics, etc. into the machine.

13. Never operate the appliance with an empty container and do not remove the lid until the blades come to a complete stop.

14. Do not touch the moving parts.

15. Do not attempt to start on the grinder without the lid attached.

16. Always use the appliance on an even and stable surface.

17. Do not allow the power cord to touch hot surfaces or run the cord over sharp edges.

18. Use accessories only advised by the manufacturer, otherwise you risk losing the warranty.

19. Always unplug from outlet immediately after use.

20. Use this appliance only in accordance with the instructions in this manual. Incorrect use may result in injury. This appliance is designed for domestic use only. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by the improper use of this appliance.

21. This appliance should not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its power supply out of reach of children. The appliance can be used by the physically and mentally impaired or by individuals with insufficient experience and knowledge, if supervised or trained to use the appliance in a safe manner and understand potential dangers. Children shall not play with the appliance.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Notes

• Check, if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to that of your power supply.
• Prior to turning the grinder on, place the lid on the grinder.
• Do not remove the lid until the blades of the grinder come to a complete stop.
• Warning: Do not leave the grinder running continuously for more than 1 minute. Overheating and subsequent shutdown of the grinder by the thermal fuse could occur. In this case, leave the motor cool down for 10–15 minutes before continuing!
• Store the appliance out of reach of children.

Using the grinder

1. Pour the coffee into the container of the grinder. Do not overfill the grinder. You can use the lid of the grinder as a measuring cup, the maximum portion is approximately 13 of the lid.
2. Put on the lid.
3. Plug the power cord in the wall outlet.
4. Hold the grinder with one hand and press and hold the switch with the other hand. The length of the grind affects the fineness of the coffee grind. Do not grind too long to avoid burning the grind. The grinding takes about 15 seconds with maximum load.
5. Release the power switch.
6. Unplug the power cord from the wall.
7. Tap on the lid to release the ground coffee stuck to the lid. Then open the grinder.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Note: Unplug the power cord from the outlet prior to any handling!

• Clean the grinder container after every use. Never immerse the grinder in water or any other liquid and do not rinse it. You can wipe the appliance after unplugging it using moist cloth.
• Remove the lid of the appliance.
• Clean the container of the grinder using slightly moist cloth.
• Never use wet cloth for cleaning of the appliance.
