How do I assemble the vacuum cleaner for the first time?

First, connect the flexible hose into the air intake duct until you hear a click. Then attach the tube to the curved wand/hose extension, and finally fit the floor brush to the tube. Ensure the power cord is unwound to at least the yellow mark before plugging in.

How often should I clean the filters?

The HEPA pre-motor filter and dust filter should be checked after each cleaning task and cleaned when suction power drops. Rinse the dust filter with clean water and dry thoroughly. The HEPA filter should be rinsed every six months or when suction is obviously reduced.

What should I do if the suction power decreases?

First, unplug the vacuum. Check the hose for blockages by pressing the square part on the hose handle to open it. Remove any obstacles. Also, clean all filters (pre-motor, dust, and outlet) as described in the manual.

Can I use the vacuum cleaner to pick up liquids?

No, this is a dry vacuum cleaner only. Do not pick up water or other liquids as it may cause electric shock and damage the appliance.

How do I rewind the power cord safely?

Press the cord rewind button with one hand while guiding the cord with the other hand to prevent whipping. Do not allow the cord to snap back.

What does the safety switch do?

The vacuum has a safety switch that activates if the suction is too high. It minimizes the vacuum rate to protect the motor from damage. This is normal.

How should I clean the dust barrel?

Press the knob on the dust cup arm to lift the dust barrel. Then press the knob at the lower end to open the cover and empty the contents. You can detach the upper part by turning it anti-clockwise to unlock.

What should I not vacuum with this appliance?

Do not vacuum flammable or combustible materials (e.g., gasoline, lighter fluid), hard or sharp objects, hot ashes, cigarettes, or toxic substances like bleach or ammonia.

The vacuum makes a squeaking sound, what should I do?

Stop the machine immediately. Unplug it and check the filters and hose for blockages. Clean all filters as per the manual. The squeaking may indicate a blockage or dirty filter.

a. Filter motora i filter prašine

1. Pritisnite gumb na ručici spremnika za prašinu. Podignite spremnik za prašinu prema gore i izvadite ga.

2. Izvadite filter motora za čišćenje i zamjenu.

3. Izvadite filter za prašinu i očistite ga mekom četkom. Isperite čistom vodom, a zatim temeljito osušite prije ponovnog stavljanja.

Molimo obratite pažnju na sljedeće: Uklonite predfilter motora prije ispiranja filtera za prašinu.

Savjeti: Kako ukloniti gornji dio spremnika:

1. Pronadite simbole za zaključavanje na bočnoj strani spremnika. Strelica pokazuje na simbol zatvorene brave.
2. Zakrenite gornji dio u smjeru suprotnom od kazaljke na satu; strelica sada pokazuje na simbol zaključane brave. Sada možete podići gornji dio.

Molimo obratite pažnju na sljedeće:

S vremenom hepa filteri u usisivaču postaju prašnjavi. To je normalno i neće utjecati na performanse filtera. Ako je hepa filter toliko prašnjav da usisna snaga više ne doseže 100%, preporučujemo uklanjanje filtera i ispiranje pod tekućom vodom. Zatim ga ostavite na zraku da se suši 24 sata dalje od vatre ili vrućih predmeta prije nego što ga vratite u usisavač. To bi trebalo činiti svakih šest mjeseci ili kada je očito smanjena usisna snaga.

Važno: Imajte na umu da se u usisavaču nalazi sigurnosni prekidač koji sprječava rad uređaja s visokom usisnom snagom. Ako je usisna snaga previsoka, aktivira se sigurnosni prekidač. U tom se slučaju usisna snaga smanjuje radi zaštite motora od oštećenja.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual.

In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

2. Children shall not play with the appliance.

3. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

4. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

5. Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.

6. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning.

7. Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.

8. Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!

9. To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.

27. Do not use the cleaner to clean your pets or any animal.

28. When using and you hear a squeaking sound from the vacuum cleaner, or suction power appears to be reduced, stop the machine immediately and clean all filters.

29. WARNING: Hold the plug when rewinding the cord. Do not allow the cord to whip when rewinding.

The general purpose vacuum cleaner (model VCE-108278.21), has been tested according to EN 60312-1 and complies with the essential requirements of regulation (EU) 666/2013 for vacuum cleaners.

USE AND FUNCTION

Assembling vacuum cleaner

Note: Always remove the power plug from the wall outlet before assembling or removing accessories.

1. Attaching the flexible hose into the vacuum. Connect the flexible hose into the air intake duct; push in until you hear a "click" sound, indicating it is in its locked position.
2. Fitting the tube to the curved wand/hose extension.
3. Fitting the floor brush to the tube. Push the tube into the floor brush. Adjust the tube to the desired length.

BUTTON FUNCTION INTRODUCTION

Note:

Once all attachments are in place, unwind a sufficient length of cable and insert the plug into the wall outlet. A yellow mark on the power cord shows the ideal cable length. Do not pull the power cord beyond the red mark.

1. Insert the power plug into the wall outlet.
2. Press the power on/off button located on the unit to turn the vacuum cleaner "on".
3. To rewind the power cord, press the cord rewind button with one hand and guide the power cord with the other hand to ensure that it does not whip causing damage or injury.

CLEAN THE DUST BARREL

1. Press the knob on the dust cup arm. Lift dust barrel up.
2. Press the knob on the lower end of dust barrel to open the dust barrel cover.

Removing & cleaning the pre-motor filter (Hepa filter), dust filter, and air outlet filter (Hepa filter) Warning: Always unplug the unit from electrical outlet before getting out the dust barrel.

a. Pre-motor filter & dust filter

1. Press the knob on the dust cup arm. Lift dust barrel up.

2. Take out the pre-motor filter for cleaning and changing.

3. Take out the dust filter and use a soft brush to clean it. Rinse with clean water and then dry thoroughly before replace it.

Note: please take the pre-motor filter out before rinse the dust filter.

Tips: how to detach the upper part from the reservoir

1. Find the lock icons on the side of the reservoir. The arrow is pointing at the locked one.

2. Turn the upper part anti-clockwise and the arrow will be pointing at the unlocked one; then lift.

b. Air outlet filter

1. Take out the air outlet filter for cleaning and changing.

Please note:

The Hepa filter in the cleaner will become dusty over time. This is normal and will not affect the performance of the filter. If the Hepa filter is so dusty that suction does not return to 100%, we suggest that the filter be removed then rinsed under the faucet and allowed to dry for 24 hours by airing not near the fire or some high temperature objects before refitting into the vacuum. This should be done once six months or when suction power appears to be reduced obviously.

Important: Please note that there is a safety switch inside the vacuum to prevent the unit from being run with high vacuum rate. If the vacuum is too high, the safety switch will be turned on. In this case, it can minimize the vacuum rate and protect the motor from being broken.

Note:

The suction hole must be open, free of any obstructions at all times. Otherwise, the motor will overheat and could become damaged.

If the suction power of the vacuum cleaner gets low please check the hose for obstacles. You can open the hose by pressing the square part on the hose handle. Take apart the two parts and remove any obstacles. To assemble the hose again first press the flexible hose into the handle and then click in the connection part.

Important:

All filters should be checked regularly for signs of damage, preferably after each cleaning task. The filters must be replaced immediately if they become damaged. Always disconnect the vacuum from the electrical outlet when checking the filters.

The Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment contains a large number of requirements for handling electrical and electronic equipment. The most important are compiled here.

1. Separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment

Electrical and electronic equipment that has become waste is referred to as waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Owners of WEEE must collect them separately from unsorted municipal waste. WEEE do not belong in household waste, but in special collection and return systems.

2. Batteries, accumulators and lamps

Owners of WEEE must hand over them in complete condition. However, owners of WEEE have to separate old batteries and accumulators which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps which can be removed, from the WEEE without destroying it before handing it over to a collection point.

3. Ways to return the WEEE

Owners of WEEE from private households can hand them in free of charge at the designated collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or at the take-back points set up by manufacturers or distributors in terms of the Directive 2012/19/EU.
