How do I set the clock on the KP 2125 Supreme?

Plug in the coffee maker. The display shows '12:00'. Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the correct time. The clock uses a 12-hour format (AM/PM).

How do I program automatic start?

First set the current time. Then press and hold PROGRAM and ON/OFF simultaneously until the power light flashes green. Use HOUR and MINUTE to set the desired start time. Finally press DELAY BREW to confirm. The green light stays on solid.

Why is my coffee weak?

Weak coffee may be due to insufficient coffee grounds or too coarse a grind. Use one heaped teaspoon (approx. 7 g) per cup. Press the STRENGTH button for a stronger brew. Also ensure the permanent filter is clean.

How do I clean and descale the coffee maker?

After each use, rinse removable parts (filter holder, carafe) with water. For descaling, mix one part vinegar with three parts water, fill the tank, and run a brew cycle without coffee. Repeat until liquid runs clear, then run two cycles with fresh water to remove vinegar smell. Descale every 3 months or as needed.

Can I use paper filters with this machine?

Yes, the filter holder accepts both the included permanent filter and standard paper filters (size #4). Place the paper filter inside the holder before adding coffee.

What does the anti-drip valve do?

The anti-drip valve stops coffee from dripping when you remove the carafe during brewing. It pauses flow for up to 30 seconds, then resumes when the carafe is replaced.

The coffee maker won't start. What should I check?

Ensure the water tank is filled and the carafe is properly placed on the hot plate. Check that the power cord is plugged securely. If the unit overheated, it may have triggered the safety shut-off; allow it to cool down and try again.

How do I cancel the delay brew function?

Press the DELAY BREW button again to deactivate it. The green indicator will turn off, and the coffee maker will not start automatically.

Is the carafe dishwasher safe?

No, do not wash the carafe in the dishwasher. Hand wash it with mild detergent and a soft sponge to avoid breakage.

What is the maximum water level?

Do not fill above the MAX line inside the water tank. Overfilling may cause overflow during brewing.

We are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use, voltage fluctuation or the modification or adjustment of any part of the appliance.

To protect against a risk of fire or electric shock, basic precautions shall be taken while using electrical appliances, including the following:

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:

1. Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and that the socket is properly grounded. The power outlet must be installed in accordance with the applicable electrical standard in force in the country where the product is used.
2. Never use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged, if it does not work properly, it has fallen on the ground and has been damaged or dropped into the water. All repairs, including cord replacements, must be carried out at a professional service centre! Do not remove the protective covers of the appliance.
3. Do not attempt to repair, adjust or modify the appliance yourself. There are no parts inside serviceable by the user.
4. Protect the device from direct contact with water and other liquids.
5. Do not use the appliance outdoors or in humid environments. Do not touch the power cord or the appliance with wet hands.
6. Store the appliance indoors and in dry place.
7. We recommend that you do not leave the appliance with plugged in power cable unattended. Before maintenance, handling or when the appliance is not in use, switch it off using the on / off switch and unplug the power cord. Do not remove the power cord from the

outlet by yanking the cord. Unplug the power cord from the outlet by grasping the plug.

1. This appliance may not be plugged in an outlet controlled by a timer or controlled remotely.
2. Do not allow the power cord to touch hot surfaces or run the cord over sharp edges.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLACING THE APPLIANCE:

1. The appliance must not be used in close proximity to water (bathrooms, showers, swimming pools, etc.) where it may fall into the water or water would splash on the product.
2. Always use the appliance on a flat, stable surface to prevent it from tipping over and spilling hot liquids. Do not use the appliance in sinks, on drip trays or other uneven surfaces.
3. Do not place the appliance on a hot surface (e.g. cookers, hobs or ovens) or use it near a heat source (e.g. hobs, radiators or gas appliances).
4. The appliance heats up during operation do not cover any openings. Leave enough space around the appliance for proper air circulation.
5. Do not place any other objects on the appliance, do not allow foreign bodies to enter the holes and do not use it near curtains, etc.

BURN HAZARD:

1. Some parts of the appliance (especially the hot plate) are hot during operation; do not touch them with bare hands. The hot plate surface contains residual heat even after switching off. Be careful, the steam that may be generated when the appliance is in operation is very hot. There is a risk of scalding.
2. Do not open the lid while the appliance is in operation.
3. Before further handling or maintenance, switch off the appliance, disconnect it from electrical power and allow it to cool down.
4. Use only the handle when handling the hot carafe.

CORRECT USE OF THE APPLIANCE:

1. Use this appliance only in accordance with the instructions in this manual. Do not use it for purposes other than those for which they

are intended - brewing drip coffee. The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by the improper use of this appliance.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Never turn on the appliance without a carafe properly inserted in the body of the appliance and with an empty water tank.
2. The water level in the tank must not exceed the "MAX" line.
3. Never leave an empty carafe on the heating plate, it could break.
4. Do not place the hot carafe on cold surfaces, it could break.
5. Never use the carafe if it is cracked or if the handle is loose. Handle it carefully, the glass is fragile.
6. Use original accessories only. The use of accessories and attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may endanger persons or property and void the warranty.

DANGER TO CHILDREN AND DISABLED PERSONS:

1. The appliance should not be left unattended when in operation.
2. Pay closer attention when using the appliance near children. Never let the appliance be handled by children alone, protect them from the danger of electric shock. Place the appliance so that the children will not have access to it. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or worktop on which the appliance stands.
3. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older if they are supervised or have been instructed to use the product in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be done by children unless they are older than 8 years old and under supervision. Keep the

appliance and its power supply out of reach of children younger than 8 years.

1. The appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or if they were instructed how to use the appliance safely and understand potential dangers. Children shall not play with the appliance.

2. Danger of suffocation: Children may not play with the packaging material. Do not let children play with the plastic bags.

Do not immerse the body of the appliance in water!

CAUTION

The surfaces marked in this way become hot during use.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Before first use

To make sure that you have an excellent taste of coffee from the first cup, we recommend to rinse the coffee maker with hot water before first use. Proceed as follows:

1. Pour the water into the tank up to the MAX line.
2. Insert the permanent filter (do not add any coffee) into the filter holder and close the lid.
3. Place the coffee maker's carafe on the heating plate and start the coffee brewing cycle with the ON / OFF button (22).

Making drip coffee

1. Lif the lid (9) using the lever (8) in the front part of the coffee maker
2. Fill the water tank (11) with the required amount of water. Do not fill above the MAX level. Use cold water. We recommend using filtered water as it reduces the amount of lime scale and prolongs the life of the coffee maker. Never use untreated or sparkling water. Check if the filter holder (2) is placed properly.
3. Insert either the permanent filter included in the package (1) or a commercially available paper filter into the filter holder (2).
4. Add coffee using the teaspoon provided (approximately 1 heaped teaspoon (7 g) per cup).
5. Close the lid (9) and place the carafe (7) on the plate (14).
6. Plug in the coffee maker. The time information "12:00" flashes on the LCD display (16). The button lights on the panel remain off.
7. If you want a stronger coffee, press the STRENGH button (17) before switching on the drip button with the ON/OFF button (22). The red indicator light next to this button comes on. Continue, see point 8.
8. Switch on the coffee machine by pressing the ON/OFF button (22). The red power light and display light up, and the time information stays on. You can stop the coffee brewing process at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button (22). The power light and the display (16) go out. The maker resumes the coffee brewing when you press the ON / OFF button (22) once. Note: You can remove the carafe at any time and serve the prepared coffee. The coffee maker automatically stops the drip for 30 seconds.
9. When the carafe is empty, switch off the appliance and unplug it.

Note: The amount of brewed coffee will always be slightly less than the amount of water poured into the coffee maker, because part of the water is absorbed by the ground coffee or evaporates. Add a little extra water at the beginning to have exactly the required number of cups at the end.

• If you have not used the appliance for a long time, let one full tank of water (without coffee) flow through it to clean it.
• The appliance will brew coffee until the water tank is empty, then switch to hot coffee maintenance mode and switch off automatically after 40 minutes. To make the coffee taste as good as possible, serve it immediately after dripping.

Automatic coffee brewing

If you do not want the coffee maker to start immediately, follow steps 1-7 of the chapter "Preparing drip coffee" and then follow the steps below to set the automatic start function:

1. First set the current time: Before starting the drip, use the HOUR (19) and MINUTE (18) buttons to set the hours and minutes. NOTE: The drip coffee maker only supports the 12-hour time format 1-12 AM (morning hours) or 1-12 PM (afternoon hours).
2. Press the PROGRAM (20) and (ON/OFF (22)) buttons simultaneously. The power light flashes green, the time flashes on the display.
3. Use the HOUR (19) and MINUTE (18) buttons to set the time you want to start making coffee.
4. Lastly, press the DELAY BREW button (21). The power light is green continuously. The display shows the current time.
5. When the set time is reached, the ON/OFF light (22) lights up red and the appliance starts operating. When the coffee is done, the maker switches to keeping the coffee warm and switches off automatically after 40 minutes. To make the coffee taste as good as possible, serve it immediately after dripping.

Note: You can cancel the automatic start by pressing the DELAY BREW button (21) again to switch off the appliance. If you want to change the start time, repeat steps 2-4. If you want to start making coffee immediately, press the ON/OFF button (22).

Note: The buttons PROGRAM, DELAY BREW, HOUR a MINUTE are inactive during brewing.

Tips for great tasting coffee

A clean coffee maker is essential for making great tasting coffee. Clean the coffee maker regularly according to the instructions in the "Maintenance and cleaning" section.

• Always use fresh cold water.
- Finely ground coffee ensures better filtration, intense aroma and rich taste. If the coffee is not ground well enough, add more coffee per one cup to ensure the same intense flavor.
- Store coffee in a dry and cool place. After opening the coffee pack, keep it tightly closed in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.
- You will achieve the optimal result if you buy whole coffee beans and grind them just before preparation of coffee.
- Do not use the same coffee a second time, as this will lose its aroma.
- Reheating coffee is not recommended. Coffee tastes best right after it is brewed.
- Tiny oil stains on the surface of filtered coffee are caused by oil extraction from coffee beans. The oil can also be caused by heavy roasting of coffee.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• Before cleaning, switch off the drip coffee maker with the ON/OFF button (22), and always unplug the power cord and let the appliance cool down thoroughly!
• Wipe the outside of the appliance with a moist cloth and then wipe dry. Clean the water tank and drip tray regularly.

• Do not use alcohol, solvents or abrasives for cleaning, they could damage the surface finish. Never immerse the base of the appliance in water!

• Remove the filter holder and remove any coffee grounds. Then you can wash it with detergent, but in any case it is necessary to at least rinse it with water. Do not wash the carafe in the dishwasher.

• Wash all removable parts with water and dry thoroughly.

Descaling

In order for the coffee machine to serve you well, you should regularly remove lime scale every three months or as needed (depending on water quality and frequency of use). Proceed as follows:

1. Fill the carafe with one part fermented vinegar and three parts cold water.
2. Pour the mixture of water and vinegar into the water tank. Do not put coffee in the coffee machine and brew the vinegar solution as described in the chapter "Before using for the first time".
3. Repeat as needed until a yellowish liquid stops flowing out of the coffee machine. Then let the coffee machine brew clean water until the smell of vinegar disappears.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Before contacting an authorized service center, check the points in the following table: If the problem persists, do not attempt to repair the device yourself and contact an authorized service center.
