The user must be aware that common sense, caution, and care are factors that cannot be integrated into a product. We are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use, or the modification or adjustment of any part of the appliance.
Fundamental precautions shall be observed when using the product, including the following:
- Make sure that the voltage and frequency in your outlet corresponds to the voltage, frequency and the required capacity shown on the device label, and that the outlet is properly grounded. The outlet must be installed in accordance with applicable electrical codes according to EN.
- Never use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged if a fall or any other damage occurred or the device is not working properly. All repairs, including cord replacements, must be carried out at a professional service centre! Do not remove the protective covers from the appliance; there is a risk of electric shock!
- Do not immerse the appliance and the power cord in liquids, do not expose to rain or humidity and use water only for cooking in accordance with this operating manual.
- The appliance must not be used close to water, in bathrooms, showers or close to pools, where it might fall in water or water may splash the product.
- Do not immerse the device in water.

Do not bend the power cord over the edge of a table or other sharp edges, do not twist it or leave it in the vicinity of hot surfaces.

Check the power cord, the plug and whole appliance regularly for any damage. If you find any damage stop using the appliance immediately and contact the service centre.
- Do not try to repair or modify the appliance or change its parts. There are no parts inside repairable by the user.
- If you do not use the appliance, switch it off and unplug it from power. Disconnect the power cord by pulling the plug – never by pulling the power cord.
- This appliance may not be plugged in an outlet controlled by a timer or controlled remotely.
- Always use the appliance on a level, stable surface to prevent it from tipping over and to prevent spillage of hot liquids. Do not use the product in sinks, dripping off areas and other places with uneven surface.
- Leave sufficient space above the appliance for safe filling. Leave sufficient space around the appliance.
- Do not put the appliance in places where it could be exposed to high temperatures from stoves, radiators, gas appliances, etc.
- Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight.
- Do not place other objects on the appliance, do not insert foreign objects in the openings and do not use it close to walls, drapes, etc.
- Do not switch the appliance on if it lies on the side or is upside down.
- The appliance warms up during operation. Do not cover it. Do not touch hot surfaces.
- Be careful, the steam escaping from the appliance is very hot! Lift the lid carefully and incline so that the leaking steam is away from you or scalding may occur. Allow the water to drip from the lid into the cooking vessel.
- Always use handles for handling. When you handle parts of the appliance when in operation, use suitable utensils and oven mitts.
- Do not try to carry a hot appliance.

Do not use a damaged or cracked lid or appliance if the cooking vessel is damaged.

Do not run the appliance on empty and do not overfill it. Observe the minimum and maximum liquid levels marked by the lines inside the container.
- Store the appliance inside in a dry place.
- This appliance is designed for preserving fruits, vegetables, etc., for the preparation of hot drinks and soups. Do not use the appliance for any other purpose than it is designed for.

This appliance is intended for household use and similar areas, including:

kitchenettes in shops, offices, and other workplaces
- appliances used in the agricultural industry
- by guests in hotels, motels, and other residential areas

in bed and breakfast establishments

The appliance should not be left unattended when in operation.
- If you no longer use the appliance, unplug it. Let it cool down and drain the water. Follow the same steps before cleaning and maintenance.
- Using accessories and attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may endanger persons and property.
- ECG is not liable for damage or injury caused by negligence or improper use. Prior to use do not forget to read carefully all instructions and information. The external surface of this device heats up and may cause burns. Do not leave unattended when children are present.
- This appliance should not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its power supply out of reach of children. The appliance may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or if they were instructed how to use the appliance safely and understand potential dangers. Children may not play with the appliance.

Unpacking the device
- Remove the device from packaging.
- Discard all packing materials such as foils, filling materials, cable holders, and cardboard boxes.
- Check that the delivery is complete.
- If the contents of the package are not complete or something is damaged, do not turn on the device. Return it to the vendor immediately.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Purpose
This appliance is designed for preserving fruits, vegetables, etc., for the preparation of hot drinks and soups. The pot can also be used as a practical dispenser for hot drinks. You can pour tea or punch directly from the tap. Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those intended.
Basic product information
Volume – max. 27 litres, which matches:
a) 22 pieces of preserving jars with a volume of 0,7 l
b) 14 pieces of preserving jars with a volume of 1 l
Temperature setting range: 30–100 °C
Timer setting range: 1–120 minutes
Before first use
There may be dust or production residue on the machine. Before using it for the first time, it is recommended to clean it, see chapter "Cleaning" and boil water in it according to the instructions below:
Fill the pot with about 5 litres of clean water (or at least up to the min. mark) and boil for about 10 minutes. Then switch off the appliance, allow it to cool and drain the water using the drain tap.
Note: A slight odor may appear at the first. This is quite normal and it soon disappears.
Location
Attention:
• The electric preserving pot is very heavy when filled!
- Do not carry the filled electric preserving pot.
- The table or counter on which the preserving pot will be placed must have a minimum load capacity of 40 kg.
- The storage area should be horizontal and moisture resistant.
- In addition: do not use extension cords. Always first check that a power outlet is close.
Power consumption
The total power consumption of this device is up to 1800 W. For this load we recommend a separate power supply protected by a 16 A home circuit breaker.
ATTENTION: Overload!
- If you are using an extension cord, it should have cross section of the conductor at least 1,5 mm ^2 .
- Do not use any splitters as they do not have enough power for this device.
Preserving tips
- The cleanliness of containers and food during preparation has a major impact on durability.
- The preserving jars and their closures must always be undamaged and sterile.
- Fruits and vegetables must be of high quality, fresh and fully ripe.
- Viscous liquids (such as soups or sweet hot drinks) tend to burn. Heat them slowly and stir continuously.
Preparing food for preserving
- Wash the raw foods thoroughly with lukewarm water and allow them to dry before cooking.
- Soak the green beans and peas before preserving and let them swell.
• Find the information about fruits and vegetables that you can preserve in the cookbooks.
Preparation of jars and lids
- Check that the jars do not contain any residues or are damaged.
- Sterilize the preserve containers and their closures before filling and allow them to dry on a clean cloth.
- Do not touch the sterile containers or their closures from the inside.
- Leave the rubber sealing bands in clean water until you use them. Do not use porous, damaged or overstretched rubber bands.
- Fill the containers up to 2 cm below the rim. Fill the pasty contents (such as marmalades) up to 3–4 cm below the rim. In case of meat preservation, fill the container only up to 34 .
- Seal the containers tightly with preserving caps.
Preserving
• Make sure that the temperature of the jars is about the same as the water temperature when they are placed in the preserving pot
- The electric preserving pot can accommodate 14 original rounded glass jars with rounded-off "Weck round rim glasses 100" with matching preserving lids.
- The tallest jar must be submerged by about 34 in the water.
- When preserving glasses in two layers, the lower glasses are completely submerged.
- Use the appliance only when the lid is closed.
- Do not shorten the preserving time. If you are in doubt, cook longer.
After preserving
You can use the used water for several subsequent preserves preparations.
Warning:
Never place preserving jars directly on the bottom of the pot. Place them on the preserving grid.
Do not overfill the pot. The maximum water level must not exceed the max. mark.
ATTENTION: Broken jar!
Do not place cold jars in hot water; warm them.
• After preserving, carefully remove the jars, place them on the tea towel and cover them with the second cloth.

The jars are hot.
- Leave the preserving caps on the jars until they have cooled completely.
• After cooling, we recommend marking the jars with the content label and the date. - If possible, store the preserved food in a dark and cool place.

The time shown is for reference only and may vary depending on the glass thickness of the jars.
OPERATION
Insert the grid into the pot first. Then place the preserving jars and add water.
When the machine is plugged into the power outlet, an audible signal sounds and the default setting is displayed, for example:
Display ② 85 °C
Display ③ 30 minutes
The display ⑤ shows the current temperature of the hot water.
Now set the required temperature and time.
Temperature
- Turn the knob ① and set the temperature in the range 30–100 °C.
- Or set the maximum temperature over 100^ . The display ② shows:
Time
- Turn the knob ④ and set the time in the range 1–120 minutes.
• or press the button ④. The display ③ shows ∞. TIMER is off.

NOTICE:
- This setting must be done before starting the electric preserving pot.
- You cannot set the TIMER together with maximum temperature.
Start
- After setting the temperature and time, press the button ①.
• The electric preserving pot starts to heat the water. 6 lines start flashing on the display ③. - When the set temperature is reached, a beep sounds. The TIMER starts at this point.
- When the set time has elapsed, a beep sounds.
Turning off
- Wait until the TIMER finishes the preserving process or press the button ①.
- The lines on the display ③ stop flashing.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
CLEANING
WARNING:
• Always switch off and unplug the appliance before washing it. Wait for the appliance to cool and drain the water from the pot.
- Do not immerse the pot in water or other liquids.
ATTENTION:
- Do not use steel wool or other sharp objects.
- Do not use any acids or abrasive cleaners.
- After use, a damp cloth is sufficient to clean the pot and its lid.
• If you have heated beverages in the pot, wash it with water and a little detergent and then rinse with water. - Rinse the tap with clean water.
• Dry all parts thoroughly.
Power cord retraction mechanism
Wind the power cord back to the bottom part.
Descaling
- The descaling frequency depends on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use.
- Please do not use vinegar, but commercially available descaling agents based on citric acid. Use only in the amount indicated on the packaging.
NOTICE:
After descaling, boil some clean water (about 3–4 times) in the pot several times to remove the stone residue. Do not drink this water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Cannot turn the appliance on.
Possible cause:
The appliance is not connected to power supply.
Repair:
- Check the outlet using another device.
– Insert the plug correctly into the electrical outlet. - Check the electrical circuit breaker.
Possible cause:
The appliance is defective.
Possible cause:
After use without water or if there was too little water in the machine, the appliance has not cooled sufficiently.
Repair:
- Allow the appliance to cool for 15 minutes.
