The Eyes indoor camera II is a camera that is connected via Wi-Fi and controlled via smartphone app. It has a person recognition function and can therefore differentiate between movements of people and other movements, and only sounds the alarm when necessary. It offers extensive protection thanks to its integrated alarm siren and visible privacy mode.

The device is not a toy! Do not allow children to play with it. Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic film and small parts may pose a danger to children.

This device may be used by children from 8 years of age and by-persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or a lack of experience and knowledge, provided these persons are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the device and understand the corresponding risks.

- When remotely or automatically controlling a device, it is not always possible to guarantee that commands are actually executed or that the correct device status is displayed in the app and on other Smart Home display devices because of external circumstances. Please take special care when setting up or adjusting the remote control or when using the automated control and check the desired functionality at regular intervals.

▶ The device also serves as an alarm siren. The loud warning tone can cause hearing damage. Protect your hearing during a function test.

▶ Please ensure that the camera head is retracted when transporting the device.

▶ Please note that the device can only warn you via your mobile device if this is switched on and connected to the Internet.

- When using the optional, intelligent audio analysis functions, the correct detection and notification depends in particular on: The placement of the device, background noise level, duration of occurrence and network availability. Attention: Under certain circumstances, comparable occurrences from other sources, such as TV, radio, animals, may also be interpreted as alarms.

▶ You bear the responsibility for the lawful use of the camera and services, and compliance with the applicable legal provisions at the place of use. Laws in your country may stipulate permitted purposes, set-up locations, selections of image sections and storage duration of the video sequences in particular. Setting up the Eyes indoor camera II

The standards and directives applicable in your country must be observed during planning, set-up, operation and maintenance.

Always lay the cables of connected devices in such a way that they can not pose a hazard to people or pets.

Select the location where you wish to set up your indoor camera and use your mobile device to check the strength of your home network's Wi-Fi signal. Start-up

  • Ensure that you have a Wi-Fi router with an internet connection and that you have your Wi-Fi password handy.
    To start up the Eyes indoor camera II, your mobile device must be connected to your home router's Wi-Fi network which you would also like to use for your camera. If your router supports both frequency bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), use your smartphone to select 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

i Please do not minimise or close the app during start-up.

Download the “Bosch Smart Camera” app from your app store. You require this for the entire installation and configuration process. Connect the indoor camera to the power supply: Connect the indoor camera to the socket using the power cable and the power supply unit.

Once the indoor camera is connected to the power supply, it initialises for a few seconds and then flashes green. Start the app and log in, or register if you do not have a Bosch account yet. In the Bosch Smart Camera app, select “Add camera” and follow the instructions in the app. The indoor camera is controlled via the Bosch Smart Camera app.

Privacy mode

The Eyes indoor camera II has a privacy mode. You can activate or deactivate this mode using the app or by lightly touching the sensor (2) on the camera head.

When the mode is activated, the camera head retracts and the integrated microphone is switched off. Recording of video clips and live streaming are disabled in this mode.

The camera can emit an optional acoustic signal to alert people when privacy mode is activated or deactivated.

When privacy mode is activated, recording and live streaming are disabled and the integrated microphone is switched off.

Resetting to factory settings

You can reset the device to its factory settings as follows:

Use a suitable object to press the reset button (7) for at least 8 seconds until the camera flashes red. The device then restarts. Please note that it can take some time until the camera unit is ready for operation again. The camera flashes green to signal that it is ready for operation again.

When resetting the camera to factory settings, the device settings and all recordings which remain on the camera are deleted. The login information for your Bosch account in the app is retained.

If necessary, you can also remove the device in the Bosch Smart Camera app under the settings for the corresponding camera. To re-configure the device, add it again in the usual pairing process.

Maintenance and cleaning

The device does not require maintenance. Leave any repairs to a specialist. Clean the device with a soft, clean, dry and lint-free cloth. When cleaning, do not use any cleaning agents containing solvents.
