Fundamental safety notes

  • This device is exclusively intended to be used in the household and similar applications, as for example:
  • in kitchens for employees in shops and offices,
  • in agricultural properties,
  • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential facilities or
  • in bed and breakfast accommodations.
  • Let repairs of Cloer electrical appliances only be carried out by authorized Cloer specialist dealers or by the Cloer service center. Substantial dangers for the user can result through improper repairs. Your warranty claim expires additionally.
  • Operate the device only at domestic sockets. Check whether the mains voltage indicated on the type plate matches the voltage of your power supply.
  • If the connection line is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized Cloer specialist dealer or the Cloer service center, in order to avoid endangerments.
  • The device must always be separated from the power supply with a lack of supervision and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
  • Pull the power plug from the socket
  • if a fault occurs.
  • if the device is not used for a longer period of time.
  • Please only pull on the plug, never on the line.
  • Do not stretch the line too tightly, as otherwise there is a risk that the device tips.
  • Do not pull the line across sharp edges.
  • Do not use the line for carrying and protect it against heat (hot plate / open flame).
  • This device should not be used by children. The device and its connection line must be kept away from children.
    • Children may not play with the device.
  • Devices can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or instructed concerning the safe use of the device and have understood the dangers resulting therefrom.
  • Do not use the device in the open air.
  • Never immerse the device in water.
  • Caution while handling the sharp cutting knives as well as while emptying the container and while cleaning.
  • Clean all surfaces/parts which came into contact with food after use of the device. You can find further notes for cleaning.

Before the first use

Read these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.

  • Remove all packing parts and possibly stickers, but not the type plate nor the serial number.
  • Place the Smoothie maker on a dry, slip-resistant and even base.
  • For hygienic reasons: Fill approx. 500 ml water into the container and keep the start key pressed for max.30 seconds prior to the first use. Pour the water out afterwards.

ATTENTION: Operation only possible with the attached container.

  • Use the smoothie maker exclusive for processing domestic processing quantities. The device is not intended for commercial use.
  • Use the equipment only at a correctly installed shockproof socket.
  • The line and the plug should be protected against humidity. Only use the device if the plug and the line are dry.
  • Do not place any pieces into the device which are too large (max.2 cm long), in order to avoid blocking of the knives and thus an overheating of the device.
  • Keep the start key pressed for max 30 seconds.
  • Hint: Operate the start key in 10 second intervals. Repeat the steps until the desired consistency is reached.
  • Do not immerse the motor block (lower part of the smoothie makers) in liquid. The motor block only runs with the attached mixer attachment.
  • Do not use the device without contents. Never bring hands, hair or articles of clothing into the proximity of the sharp knives during use.
  • Before you remove the container ensure that the kni -ves have come to a complete standstill.
  • Please pull the power plug before removing the container.

ATTENTION: Please do not use any hot liquids! Risk of scalding!

  • Food should maximally be 60^ . The container could be damaged with liquids that are too hot.
  • It is best if you let hot liquids cool down until they are lukewarm, before you pour them into the mixer attachment.

Start-up

  • The device should be cleaned prior to use.
  • Plug the power plug into the socket.
  • In order to process firm food, cut these into small pieces beforehand.
    • The mark of 600 ml should be never exceeded.
  • First add firm or dry ingredients to the container, press these in slightly and then add the liquid ingredients.
  • Now close the container with the knife block and screw this together with the motor block.
  • Then turn the container in the clockwise direction on the motor block until a "click" noise is heard.
  • Pay attention that the markings lie exactly above one another. Exert slight pressure, until the container is firmly locked.

NOTE: Do not process the food too much. Stop the Smoothie maker and check the firmness of the food after a few seconds.

ATTENTION! The smoothie maker can only be switched on when the container is attached correctly!

  • In order to start the mixing process, keep the start key pressed in 10 second intervals.
  • Release the key again, when the desired mixing degree is reached.
  • Pull the power plug thereafter.
  • Refilling: You must remove the container from the motor block for refilling. Then unscrew the knife block carefully and refill the desired ingredients. Pay attention thereby to the maximum filling amount of 600 ml. Then screw the knife block back onto the container.
  • Removing the knife block: Rotate the container from the drive unit anti-clockwise.
  • Unscrew the knife block.
  • You can now pour out your smoothie or the or screw on the provided drinking cover.
  • The drinking cover with closure enables the use of the container as a separate drinking bottle.

Chopping ice

  • In order to obtain an optimal result, you should fill maximally 3-4 ice cubes into the mixing container.
  • Smaller ice cubes can be chopped or crushed faster than large ones.
  • Always press the start only for a few seconds. If the ice cubes should not yet be small enough, repeat the procedure.

ATTENTION: The ice is not crushed without liquid!

Cleaning and care

- Proceed as follows: Remove the mixer attachment, fill it with water and add detergent (no scrubbing cleaning agents!). Place the mixer back onto the station and let it engage. Operate the start key for few seconds. Pour the water out and rinse the mixer attachment out with clear water.

  • You can also place the container and the drinking closure - re into the dishwasher, they are suitable for dishwashers.
  • It is advisable to clean the mixing container imme diately after use.
  • Before you clean the knife and the motor block, first pull out the power plug, so that the danger of an electric shock is warded off.
  • Never reach into the knife block with the hands, as the knives are very sharp.
  • For cleaning the sharp knives, you hold these under flowing water. A brush can be used for cleaning if necessary.
  • Clean the motor block with a damp cloth, never immer - se it into water never or hold it under running water.

Smoothie recipes

Here are a few recipe suggestions for you for trying out. You can vary and change the recipes as desired or simply try out something yourself.

Mango peach

  • 200 g fresh mango diced
  • 1 large peach pitted and diced
  • 200 ml pineapple juice (or 100 ml juice and 100 ml vanilla yogurt)
  • a little lemon juice

Banana Kiwi grape

  • 1/2 peeled and diced banana
  • 1 Kiwi peeled and diced
  • 150 g seedless grapes

  • 150 g bio yoghurt

  • 1-2 tbsp honey depending on taste
  • some lemon juice

Field salad spinach (Pak Choi - spinach)

  • 1 handful of baby spinach
  • 1 handful of field salad (or Pak Choi)
  • 1 handful of seedless grapes
  • 1 banana
  • 140 ml still water

First add the solid or dried ingredients to the container, press them slightly and then add the liquid ingredients. Now close the container with the knife block and screw this together with the motor block. Then rotate the container in the clockwise direction on the motor block. Now operate the start/stop key in 10 second intervals until the desired consistency is reached. If necessary, the container must be removed during the mixing process and be shaken vigorously by hand. This way it is avoided that the ingredients set.
