Note: Cleaning and conserving non-stick coated pans after general use:
This product has a high quality non-stick ceramic coating. Special care must be taken to conserve the non-stick coating while cooking, while removing food for serving, and cleaning. Please follow the cleaning instructions in the previous section strictly and carefully. In addition, please follow the procedures mentioned below:
- Remove any remaining food. When the appliance cools down and is safe to touch, use a paper towel, wooden, or plastic spatula to remove any food debris from the pan. Make sure to use a pot holder to keep the pan handle if the pan is still a bit warm.
- Make sure to use a non-metal utensil on your non-stick coated surface. Wooden or silicone spatulas are recommended. Metal utensils can scratch and remove the non-stick coated layer on your pots and pans.
- If you are saving the rest of the food in the pan, use your non-metal utensil to shift the food into a container that you can store later.
- When using plastic or wooden utensils, make sure to use them with a soft hand during moving or scraping the food in the pan.
- Avoid keeping food in the pan after cooking for a long time to avoid food getting stuck and making it difficult to clean up.
- Do NOT 'store' food in the pan for longer periods of time. Proper cleaning of the non-stick pan after each use is crucial for maximum longevity. Lack of proper cleaning of the pan after each use ultimately resulting in oil and food residue build-up and loss of non-stick effect will NOT be covered under the warranty.
- Cleaning the pan. Use a soft nylon scrubber, sponge, or paper towel sprinkled with a few drops of dishwashing soap to wipe the non-stick coated surface clean. Make sure to wipe all areas of the inside of the pan, also wipe down the outside bottom of the pan and the pan handle. Wipe off all soapy residue from the pan.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning pads on non-stick coated pan. The abrasive material can damage and remove the non-stick coating of the pan.
- At any point in the above process, DO NOT dip the Electric Pan directly in water or bring it under running water in the water sink.
TIPS FOR USE AND CARE OF CERAMIC MARBLE COATING
- To avoid scratching of ceramic non-stick surface, do not stack objects on the hob.
- Use medium to low heat for best cooking results. Very high temperatures can cause discolouration reducing the life of any non-stick surface. To achieve a high temperature, preheat the hob at medium heat for a few minutes.
- Use nylon or silicone utensils only. If use plastic or wooden utensils, use them with max. precautions. This will avoid scratching the non-stick surface.
- Never cut food on the hob.
- To remove stubborn stains, use a plastic scouring pad and mild washing-up liquid. DO NOT USE STEEL WOOL.
