d) The appliance is not a toy. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with it.

2.3. Safe use of the product

a) Before adjustment, cleaning and maintenance of the appliance disconnect power supply of the pump operating with the tank.
b) Keep unused appliances out of the reach of children and anyone unfamiliar with the machine or this manual. Appliances are dangerous in the hands of inexperienced users.
c) Keep the product in good working order. Before each use, check for generally evident damage and damage to any of the moving parts (inspect for cracks in parts and components or any other condition that may affect the safe operation of the product). If damaged, have the product repaired before use.

k) Keep the appliance away from sources of fire and heat.
I) Do not overload the product.

m) Do not use the pump and the accumulator tank to pump petrol or any liquid with flash point below 37^ C ( 98^ F). Failure to follow the recommendations may lead to explosion or cause serious injuries or death.
n) Do not exceed pressure in the tank. Pressure exceeding 125 psi (8.6 bar) may lead to tank bursting and injuries.
o) Attach the hose accurately to inlet/outlet connectors using tie wraps. Failure to follow this recommendation may cause flooding of and/or damage to the equipment.
p) When the tank is mounted, first restore water supply, and then connect pump power supply.

CAUTION! Although the appliance has been designed to be safe and has been provided with adequate safeguards, and despite the use of additional safety measures, there is still a low, residual risk of accident or injury during its operation. Caution and common sense are advised when using the product.

3. Rules of use

The product is not suitable for use in water systems with a pressure valve, e.g. in camping vans, yachts, boats.

The appliance prevents from water hammers, reduces noise during operation, protects the pump (reduces the number of on/off cycles), and at the same time ensures enhanced warm water temperature monitoring.

The user is responsible for any damage caused by non-intended use.

3.1. Preparations for operation

INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE

  1. Disconnect the pump's power supply.
  2. Open the appliance's tap or drain valve.
  3. Install the tank at any plane in the line at the pump discharge side.
  4. Attach the hose to inlet/outlet connectors using tie wraps. Failure to follow this recommendation may cause flooding of and/or damage to the equipment.
  5. Restore water supply and then restore power supply. Allow water to flow through the pump and leave the end discharge point to remove air from the system.
  6. The tank may be mounted in any position. To remove the tank from the system, always disconnect the pump power supply and open the tap or the appliance to safely release pressurised water.

CAUTION! Reduce air pressure before disassembly!

3.2. Operating the appliance

CAUTION! Do not use the appliance to pump flammable liquids, petrol, naphtha, fuel oil, etc.

CAUTION! Do not use the pump in hazardous areas or in places where flammable vapours occur.

ADJUSTMENT OF PRESET PRESSURE

MSW M-PAT-1 - ADJUSTMENT OF PRESET PRESSURE - 1

  1. W ater tank
  2. Water inlet
  3. Heater
  4. Pump
  5. Accumulator tank
  6. Valve

The accumulator tank is pre-filled with air at 0.7 bar (10 psi). If the pump's inlet pressure is different, adjust pressure in the tank.

To increase air pressure in the tank:

a) deactivate the pump;
b) open the tap to reduce pressure in the system;

c) adjust preset pressure using a normal tyre pressure gauge and tyre pump at the valve at the end of the tank.

CAUTION! The internal bladder is initially pumped to 0.7 bar (10 psi). Before use adjust air pressure in the tank 0.2 bar (3 psi) below water pump switch pressure.

Check pressure at regular intervals. To check pressure in the tank:

a) switch off water pump supply;
b) unscrew the tap to reduce pressure;
c) check pressure in the tank and adjust, if necessary;
d) close the tap and switch on the pump supply.

HOW DOES THE ACCUMULATOR TANK OPERATE?

1) After the pump has been activated, water flow inside the tank. The system is topped up at maximum pressure. The pump deactivates.
2) If water demand occurs, pressure in the air header discharges water to the system. The pump remains off until minimum pressure is reached. Then it is switched on and runs until cut-out pressure is reached.

3.3. Cleaning and maintenance

CAUTION! Reduce air pressure before disassembly!

a) Maintain and clean the pump and the connected appliances at regular intervals.
b) Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning.
c) Do not clean with any sharp and/or metal implements (e.g. a wire brush or a metal scraper) as these may damage the surface of the appliance.
d) Do not clean the unit with acidic substances, medical products, thinners, fuel, oil or other chemicals as they may damage it.
