Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.
  • When using the vacuum cleaner, always observe basic safety precautions, including those specified below.
  • Do not leave the vacuum cleaner unattended when it is plugged in. Unplug the appliance when not in use and before removing the filters.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use the appliance outdoors or on wet surfaces.
  • Do not allow children to play with the appliance. Be careful when using near children.
  • Packaging material may be dangerous to children. Remove it and place it out of their reach.
  • Use the appliance only as described in this manual. Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other part of the appliance in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

  • WARNING: check that the canister vacuum cleaner and package are not damaged. Never use the appliance if it is damaged. Should it be the case, immediately contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.

  • Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the o'cial Cecotec Technical Support Service or similar qualified personnel to avoid risks.
  • Do not drag the appliance by the cable. Do not use the power cable as handle. Do not allow the cable to get caught between the door and the frame and do not stretch the it over sharp edges or corners. Do not crush the power cable with the full weight of the appliance. Keep the cable away from heat sources.
  • Do not touch the plug or the appliance with wet hands. Do not use the vacuum cleaner outdoors or on wet surfaces.
  • Do not insert objects into the openings of the appliance. Do not use the appliance if any of the openings are blocked and do not restrict the air flow. Keep all openings clear of dust, lint, hair, or any other substance that may reduce air flow.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and other parts of the body away from the openings and moving parts of the device.
  • Do not vacuum hard or sharp objects such as glass, screws, or coins, or hot coals, cigarettes, matches, or any other hot smoking or burning objects.
  • Turn on all controls/switches before plugging or unplugging the vacuum cleaner.
  • Take special care when vacuuming over stairs.
  • Do not vacuum flammable or combustible materials (lighter fluid, gasoline, etc.) or use near explosive liquids or vapours.
  • Do not vacuum up toxic material (bleach, ammonia, plunger, etc.).

  • Do not use the appliance in an enclosed space with oil-based paint vapour, paint thinner, repellents, flammable dust or other explosive or toxic vapours.

  • Always unplug the appliance before connecting or disconnecting the suction hose. Do not allow the plug to be hit too hard when rewinding the cable.
  • Use the appliance only on dry surfaces and indoors.
  • Do not use it for any purpose other than those described in this manual.
  • Store the appliance in a closed, cool, and dry place.
  • Store it in a dry environment.
  • Keep the end of the hose, nozzles, and other openings away from your face and body.
  • Do not use the vacuum cleaner to clean pets or any animal.
  • Keep your head (eyes, ears, mouth, etc.) away from the appliance openings when it is operating or when it is switched off and plugged in.
  • WARNING: if the appliance's suction openings, the hose, or the telescopic tube are obstructed, turn off the vacuum cleaner and remove the obstruction before resuming use.
  • Do not use the appliance too close to heaters or radiators.
  • Before plugging the vacuum cleaner into a power socket, make sure that your hands are dry.
  • Before starting up the appliance, be sure to remove any large or sharp objects that could damage the dust tank and hose.
  • When disconnecting the vacuum cleaner from the mains, pull the plug and not the power cable.
  • The mains plug of the power cable must be removed from the base before cleaning or maintenance operations.
  • Always use the plug provided with the appliance. Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance if it does not match the power socket.

  • The upholstery cleaner plug must be connected to an earthed socket. If you do not have an earthed socket, an earthed installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician. In case of ungrounded use, Cecotec shall not be liable for any malfunction or damage that this may cause.

  • Do not use the appliance without the filters properly fitted.
  • If the vacuum cleaner squeaks, it is probably due to a reduction in suction power. Switch off and unplug the vacuum cleaner and clean all air filters thoroughly.
  • WARNING: hold the plug when rewinding the cable to avoid damaging the former.
  • Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the appliance marking and that the wall outlet is earthed.
  • In case of malfunctioning, repairs must be carried out by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service; otherwise, the warranty will be void.

2. BEFORE USE

  • This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.

  • Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE

Warning:

Always unplug the appliance from the mains before attaching or removing accessories. Fig. 2

  1. Connect the flexible hose to the vacuum cleaner. Connect the flexible hose into the air-inlet duct and push until you hear it click into place. To remove the hose, press the two release buttons on the end of the hose.
  2. Connect the telescopic tube to the flexible hose connector.
  3. Insert the floor brush into the telescopic tube. Adjust the telescopic tube to the desired length. Tip: reduce suction power to make it easier for the brush to glide across the floor. To clean furniture, set the suction power to minimum. To clean carpets and hard floors, turn the knob to medium power. If you wish to use the maximum suction power setting, do so only for cleaning hard floors and in combination with the appropriate brush.

4. OPERATION

  • Once the accessories are mounted, unwind the cable enough to plug it into the socket.
  • A yellow mark on the power cable marks the ideal length. Do not unwind the power cable beyond the red mark.
  • Connect the power cord into a socket
  • Press the power button to turn the vacuum cleaner on.
  • To rewind the power cable, press the cable-winding button with one hand and hold the power cable with the other to avoid damage or injury resulting from a whipping effect.
  • To adjust the suction level, turn the knob and select the desired suction power.

Please note:

The appliance motor is equipped with a safety thermostat. If for any reason the vacuum cleaner overheats, the thermostat will automatically switch off the appliance. If this happens, switch off the vacuum cleaner and unplug it from the socket. Remove and empty the dirt tank and clean the filter. Allow the appliance to cool down for about an hour. To restart it, plug it back into the socket and switch it on.

Accessories

Use the most appropriate accessory depending on the kind of cleaning:

  • Accessory for furniture: perfect for vacuuming on wardrobes, chairs, tables, etc. without damaging them.
  • Accessory for corners: use it to vacuum the dirt on corners and sockets, etc.
  • Best Friend Care Air Brush accessory for pets and upholstery: perfect for vacuuming pet hair and for all types of fabrics and upholstery (sofas, armchairs, etc.).

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Make sure the vacuum cleaner is not connected to the mains before cleaning or servicing it.

  1. Press the dust tank release button to remove it from its place.
  2. Open the tank cover by pressing the top tab.
  3. Empty the residues from the dust tank.

The filtering system is equipped with a HEPA filter (A) and a foam filter (B).

First, remove the dust tank. Next, remove the HEPA filter (A) and the foam filter (B) from the appliance. Vacuum and shake the filters to remove every particle and dust remain that may block them and make air circulation difficult. Remember not to use the vacuum cleaner without the filters properly assembled

Filters cannot be washed inside a washing machine nor dried with a hair dryer.

If the filters are worn or fail to remove dirt, replace them with new ones. Do not use the vacuum cleaner without installing the filters or if the filters are damaged. Otherwise, the vacuumed dust would enter the appliance and could damage the motor.

  1. Press the top of the air outlet cover to remove it.
  2. Unlatch the high-efficiency filter by sliding it to the left.
  3. Vacuum and shake the filters to remove every particle and dust remain that may block them and make air circulation difficult.
  4. Once the filter is installed, put the air outlet cover back in place.

Warning:

  • Due to frequent use, dust will accumulate in the filters. This is normal and will not affect the filter's performance. If the amount of dust accumulated in the filter system affects the suction power and performance of the appliance, it is advisable to remove the filters

and replace them with new ones. This should be done once every six months or when it is observed that the suction power has noticeably reduced.

  • Keep the suction hose free of any obstruction at all times. Otherwise, the motor could overheat and be damaged.
  • Check all filters frequently for damage, preferably after each cleaning. If the filters are damaged, replace them immediately. Always unplug the vacuum cleaner from the mains when checking the filters.
  • Do not wash filters in the washing machine or dishwasher.
