- After the set time elapses, three beeps sound and the display shows "Off". Press the "ON/OFF" button to switch the appliance off.
- Note: The first time you use the appliance, it may smoke a little, which is normal.
OPERATION

Note: For health reasons, we recommend frying food only until it takes on a golden-brown colour. This keeps the formation of potentially harmful acrylamide low.
Caution: This air fryer operates with hot air. Therefore, never put solid or liquid fat in the fryer – danger of fire!
Preparation
- Before using the appliance, prepare it as described in the section "Before first use".
- Place the desired grate in the glass basket.
- Two grates are available to choose from:
■ Low grate
■ High grate
-
Note that the three feet of the high grate must point downward when you place the grate in the glass basket. The low grate has a support in the middle, which likewise must point downward. When inserted in the basket, the grates must be straight to ensure good frying results. If desired, you can first insert the low grate and then place the high grate on top to cook on two levels. Check the food on top regularly to keep it from burning.
-
Now put the food on the grate. Be careful not to overfill the glass basket. This will ensure optimal frying results.
- Push the glass basket into the opening of the appliance until the glass basket is locked in place. If the glass basket is not inserted properly, the appliance cannot be switched on for safety reasons.
- Plug the appliance into a power socket (220–240 V\~, 50/60 Hz).
- A beep sounds, all icons on the display light up briefly and then go out again. Afterwards, only the "ON/OFF" button is illuminated. The appliance is now in standby mode.
- Press the "ON/OFF" button to switch the appliance on.
Select program
-
Now select the desired program by pressing the "Function" button until the icon for the desired program flashes.
-
If you wish to change the preset time and temperature of the selected program, now press the “Time/Temperature” button once to change the time; press it again to change the temperature. Use the “+” and “-” buttons to make the changes. The possible settings are listed in the table on page 34. If you wish to adjust the time or temperature during operation, this is possible at any time while the program is running.
-
Note: If you do not press any buttons within about 3 seconds, the appliance automatically switches to standby mode, and the previous settings are retained. The set temperature is displayed and the selected program flashes.
-
If the appliance is cold, you must add about 5 minutes to the desired cooking time to let the appliance heat up. Tip: You can also pre-heat the appliance for 5 minutes without food and then add the ingredients to the glass basket.
- Press the "Start/Pause" button once you have selected the desired program.
- The selected program starts, the display shows the temperature setting and remaining time, the fan is running, and you can see the illuminated heating element through the glass basket. The remaining runtime is counted down to indicate the remaining cooking time.
- Note: You can interrupt the program at any time by pressing the “Start/Pause” button, without discontinuing the program. To do this, you must press the “ON/OFF” button to switch the appliance off completely.
Continuation of program
- To achieve better results, it may be necessary to shake (e.g. chips) or turn (e.g. steaks) the ingredients in the glass basket halfway through the cooking time.
- To do so, use the handle to pull the glass basket out of the appliance. The appliance switches off, and the time pauses. Gently shake the ingredients in the glass basket. When cooking larger quantities, this process must be repeated several times. Tip: To prevent the appliance from cooling down too much, do not leave the glass basket out of the appliance for too long. Caution – hot grease may splatter, causing burns!
- Push the glass basket back into the appliance. As soon as the glass basket is returned to the appliance, frying continues.
- When the timer setting expires, three beeps sound and the appliance switches off. Note: The fan in the appliance will continue to run for a while.
Frying with the user-defined program
- Press and hold the "Function" button until the icon for the user-defined program appears.
-
Now press the “Time/Temperature” button one, then select the desired time using the “+” and “-” buttons. Then press the “Time/Temperature” button again, and select the desired temperature using the “+” and “-” buttons. You can set the time between 1 and 60 minutes in increments of one minute, and the temperature between 65 and 200 °C in increments of 5 °C. If you wish to adjust the time or temperature during operation, this is possible at any time while the program is running.
-
Note: If you do not press any buttons within about 3 seconds, the appliance automatically switches to standby mode, and the previous settings are retained. The set temperature is displayed and the selected program flashes.
- Finish by pressing the "Start/Pause" button; the appliance will start frying.
Removal of food
- Remove the glass basket and check whether the food is cooked as desired. If not, you can continue frying by returning the glass basket to the appliance and setting the timer for a few more minutes.
- Caution: Never turn the glass basket completely upside down. Any excess grease from the food collects in the glass basket – danger of burns!
- Therefore, use tongs to remove the food from the glass basket. Pay attention to excess grease again.
- Caution: Never place the glass basket directly on heat-sensitive surfaces; always use the silicone mat which is included, or other heat-resistant pad.
- If you wish to fry more food, you can start the frying process again right away.
Switching off the appliance
- When you have finished cooking, press the "ON/OFF" button and unplug the appliance from the power socket.
- As long as it is connected to the power supply, the appliance will consume a small amount of electricity; we therefore recommend that you always disconnect the power plug when cooking is complete.
- If you plug in the appliance again while it is still hot, the display will show "Off" and the fan in the appliance will run until the appliance has cooled down. When the fan stops, the appliance is in standby mode.

Caution: During and after use, the appliance, and especially the glass basket and grate, are very hot – danger of burns! Touch only the handle of the glass basket.
CLEANING AND CARE

After use and before cleaning, press "ON/OFF" to switch off the appliance, then unplug it from the power socket.
Allow the housing and the glass basket to cool down completely. To shorten the time needed for cooling, remove the glass basket and place it on the silicone mat.
Pour out any grease that has collected in the glass basket.
- The housing must never be immersed in water or come into contact with water.
- Pour out any grease that has collected in the glass basket.
- Wipe the inside and the outside of the housing with a damp cloth and some washing-up liquid – or use a grease cleaner – then wipe the surfaces clean, using a damp cloth moistened with clean water. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners. Ensure that there is no water ingress. After cleaning, thoroughly dry the housing.
- The glass basket and grates can be cleaned in warm water with mild washing-up liquid. To remove stubborn residue, put some warm washing-up liquid in the glass basket and allow to soak for about 10 minutes.
- Then pour off the water and c lean as described above.
- The glass basket and grates can also be cleaned in the dishwasher, using a gentle program.
- Dry all parts thoroughly. Afterwards, return the glass basket and grate to the appliance.
- Regular cleaning will prolong the life of the appliance substantially.
- When not in use, store the appliance in a dry, dustproof place.
USEFUL INFORMATION FOR USING AIR FRYERS
Cooking times depend on the size, thickness, and quality of the food, as well as the material of the baking tin.
Starchy foods that have not been pre-baked, such as fresh chips, can be brushed or sprayed with a thin coat of oil. This likewise applies to vegetables. Caution – never do this directly in the appliance. Always maintain a sufficient distance to the fryer when applying oil to food. Never spray oil into the appliance – danger of fire!
Before turning out cake or bread, check it with the “skewer test”: Simply insert a wooden skewer into the cake or bread and pull it back out. If nothing sticks to the skewer, the bread or cake is done. To heat half-baked rolls or frozen rolls, first spray them lightly with water. This will give them a shiny crust as if fresh from the baker. When cooking sausages, make sure they are not in contact with each other in the glass basket. Coating the sausages with cream will give them a nice brown colour. All of our cooking times are approximate and can be adjusted to suit your personal taste. The same applies to the cooking temperatures.
Distribute the food evenly in the glass basket to ensure that it cooks and browns evenly. If this is not possible due to the size of the food, switch off the appliance after half the cooking time has elapsed and remove the glass basket, shake the food briefly and then continue cooking. Recipes that work well in a conventional oven are, of course, also suitable for the air fryer. Reduce the cooking temperature by about 10^ and check the food regularly during the first few attempts.
If the circulating air causes whirling of the food, you can fasten it with a small skewer. Consume only food that is fully cooked.
