Setting up the appliance / wall mounting
i Note
The charging station ^11 may only be operated free-standing if used in dry rooms. Place the charging station ^11 on a horizontal, level and stable surface.
In damp rooms, especially in the vicinity of water (bath), the charging station must be firmly fixed to the wall to protect it from falling into the water.
Before wall mounting, make sure that there are no cables or pipes in the area where you want to hang the charging station ⑪.
1) Mark two drill holes on the wall 3.3 cm apart and drill the marked holes with a 5 mm bit. Ensure that there is a mains power socket in the immediate vicinity.
2) Push the supplied wall plugs into the drill holes and screw the screws into the wall plugs. Take care that the screws still protrude about 3 mm out of the holes.
3) Feed the power cable through one of the recesses ⑩ on the side of the charging station ⑪, depending on which side the power socket is located.
4) Push the charging station ⑪ onto the screws so that the screws protrude into the hangers ⑧ at the back of the charging station ⑪. Then press the charging station ⑪ down so that the screws slide into the rails of the hangers ⑧ and the charging station ⑪ sits firmly on the screws.
Charging the appliance
i Note
Before starting to use the appliance, check that it is in fault-free condition. You must not use the appliance if it has any faults.
▶ Charge the appliance only when there is no water in the water tank⑥.
▶ In the following cases, the appliance must be charged for about 15 hours:
—Before first use.
-If the battery has been drained during use.
- If you have not used the appliance for more than 3 months.
▶ A fully charged battery is enough for about 20 minutes of use.
1) Plug the mains plug into the mains power socket.
2) Place the handpiece ⑤ on the charging station ⑪ so that it slides onto the pin on the charging station ⑪.
3) Allow the handpiece ⑤ to charge for around 15 hours before using it for the first time. The charge indicator 📄 on the front of the handpiece ⑤ lights up red during the charging process. When the battery is fully charged, the charge indicator 📄 lights up green.
4) Place the handpiece 5 on the charging station 11 after each use so that full power is always available.
Filling the water tank
① ATTENTION!
▶ Fill the water tank ^6 with pure tap water. If necessary, add a few drops of mouthwash. The water tank ^6 should never be completely filled with additives such as mouthwash or mouth rinse.
▶ Use only cold or lukewarm water with a maximum temperature of 40^ C. Do not fill the water tank ⑥ with hot water.
You can fill/top up the water tank ⑥ at any time without removing it from the appliance:
1) Take the handpiece ⑤ with the attached empty water tank ⑥ from the charging station ⑪. Hold the switched-off handpiece ⑤ horizontally.
2) Open the water tank lid ⑦ and fill the tank with water through the filling opening ⑦.
3) Close the water tank lid ⑦.
Fitting/removing attachments
i Note
▶ Make certain that the handpiece⑤ is switched off before fitting or removing the attachments ②.
The appliance comes with two attachments ^2 with different coloured marking rings for different users.
If used daily, replace the attachments ② after no more than six months.
▶ Use only the attachments ② recommended by the manufacturer. Information on ordering replacement attachments ② can be found in the section Ordering replacement parts. The attachment nozzles of Panasonic ©* water jet flossers (nozzle model EW0950) can also be used for this appliance (*Panasonic is a registered trademark of Panasonic Corporation).
◆ To fit an attachment ② to the handpiece ⑤, insert it into the attachment socket ③. Press the attachment ② down until it completely engages in the attachment socket ③.
To remove an attachment ② from the handpiece ⑤, press the release button ⑱ and pull the attachment ② upwards off the handpiece ⑤.
◆ Attachment 2 that are not in use can be placed in one of the holders 9 on the charging station 11.
Before first use
1) Rinse the attachments ② in clean water. One attachment ② can be placed into one of the holders ⑨ on the charging station ⑪. Fit the other attachment ② onto the handpiece ⑤.
2) Pull the water tank ⑥ downwards off the handpiece ⑤ and rinse the water tank ⑥ in clean water.
3) Push the water tank ⑥ back onto the handpiece ⑤ until it clicks into place completely. Ensure that the intake tube is in the water tank ⑥.
4) Fill the water tank ⑥ as described in the section Filling the water tank.
5) Point the nozzle ① of the attachment ② downwards into a washbasin. When doing so, make sure that you do not tilt the handpiece ⑤ too far forwards. Otherwise, the intake tube will no longer reach water or water could leak out of the air supply openings ④.
6) Press the On/Off button ① ⑰. The handpiece ⑤ starts pumping water and discharging it via the nozzle ①. Let the handpiece ⑤ run until the water tank ⑥ is empty. This flushes all internal lines.
7) Press the On/Off button ⑪7 to switch off the handpiece ⑤.
Power levels
This water jet flosser has three different power levels:
- jet: powerful water jet, indicator light jet 15 lights up. For cleaning left over food from your interdental spaces.
- normal: water jet mixed with air, indicator light normal 14 lights up. For cleaning left over food from your interdental spaces, for massaging your gums, for rinsing between teeth and gums.
- soft: water jet mixed with a lot of air, indicator light soft ⑬ lights up. For gently massaging your gums.
i Note
▶ If the appliance was completely discharged during the last use, it always starts on the power level jet.
◆ Press the power level selection button ^16 repeatedly until the desired power level is set.
◆ Press the On/Off button① ⑰. The appliance starts with the set power level.
To switch off the water jet flosser, press the On/Off button ①⑰ again.
Operation
CAUTION!
The unfamiliar stimulation may cause some gum bleeding at first, which is not unusual. In this case, use a less intensive power level, such as soft or normal. If the bleeding gums last longer than two weeks, you should contact your dentist.
- Consult your dentist before using the appliance if you suffer from severe periodontitis, have injuries or abscesses in the mucous membrane of the oral cavity or underwent dental surgery within the last two months.
i Note
▶ Use of the appliance is not a replacement for daily tooth cleaning with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Use the appliance only as a supplement to daily tooth cleaning with toothbrush and toothpaste.
▶ Make sure that you do not cover up the air supply opening ^4 on the back of the handpiece ^5 with your fingers during use.
If you hold the handpiece ⑤ at an angle during use, water may leak out of the air supply openings ④.
The handpiece ⑤ switches off automatically after approx. 50 seconds, even if there is still water in the water tank ⑥.
1) Fill the water tank ⑥.
2) Place an attachment ② on the handpiece ⑤.
3) Press the power level selection button 16 to set the desired power level.
4) Place the attachment ② in your mouth to prevent spray. Bend over the washbasin and hold the handpiece ⑤ as upright as possible (see Fig. 1). Direct the nozzle ① of the attachment ② towards your teeth/interdental spaces.

natural_image
Line drawing of a person receiving a nasal swab injection, showing mouth and neck (no text or symbols)Fig. 1
5) Press the On/Off button ① ⑰ to start the handpiece ⑤. Close your mouth a little to prevent water from spraying around.
6) To clean the interdental spaces, slowly guide the nozzle ① of the attachment ② from interdental space to interdental space on the inner and outer sides of your teeth. To massage your gums, point the nozzle ① at the gums. Move the water jet slowly over your gums.
The length of the process will depend on how much cleaning the interdental spaces require. Continue cleaning until your teeth feel clean.
When massaging your gums, use the water jet flosser for as long as you find the massage comfortable.
i Note
The water in the water tanl6 is enough for about 30 seconds of use.
If the water in the water tank ⑥ is used up in the meantime, stop the handpiece ⑤. Remove it from your mouth and refill the water tank ⑥ through the filling opening ⑦
7) When the treatment is finished, press the On/Off button ① ⑰ to switch off the handpiece ⑤.
8) Only then should you take the attachment ② out of your mouth and rinse it under clean, running water.
After use
i Note
▶ Always empty the water tank ^6 and all tubes after every use to prevent the build-up of bacteria.
When the handpiece ⑤ is switched off and you have finished the treatment:
1) Open the water tank lid ⑦ with the attachment ② still fitted and pour out the rest of the water.
2) Close the water tank lid ⑦.
3) Point the nozzle ① of the attachment ② downwards into a washbasin. Switch the handpiece ⑤ on for a couple of seconds to flush any remaining water from the water tank ⑥.
4) Remove the attachment ② from the handpiece ⑤ and place it in the holder ⑨ on the charging station ⑪.
5) Place the handpiece ⑤ on the charging station ⑪.
