9. To switch off, release the start button

(2). After switching off the equip- ment, the blade continues to turn for several seconds. Do not touch the moving blade. There is a risk of injury.29 MTGB As a basic rule, the lawn has to be mowed relatively often so that only small amounts of mulch remain on the lawn. It is therefore best to mulch the lawn at least once a week and to adjust the mower so that only about 40% of the total height of the lawn is left as mulch. Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage Have work that is not de- scribed in these instructions carried out by a customer service centre that we have authorised. Use only original parts. Wear gloves when handling theblade Switch off the device, pull the ignition key (11) and wait for the blades to come to a stop. There is a risk of personal injury. General Cleaning and Maintenance Work Do not hose down the lawn- mower with water. Electric shock hazard

  • Use the cleaning spatula (14) to re- move grass residues from the underside of the mower on the blade and around the blade. To do this, carefully lay the machine on its side. It is best to clean the mower directly af- ter use. The cleaning spatula (14) can be clipped to the mower’s pipe for quick access. Working with the Lawnmower Regular mowing encourages increased foli- ation of the grass and kills off weeds at the same time. Therefore, not only does each mowing increase the density of the lawn, it also produces an evenly resilient lawn. The rst cut is to be made in around April, at a growth height of 70 – 80 mm. In the main vegetation period, the lawn is to be mowed at least once a week.
  • Run the equipment at a walking pace, in tracks that are as even as possible. For gap-free mowing, the tracks should always overlap by a few centimetres.
  • Adjust the cut height so the equipment is not overloaded. Otherwise, the mo- tor may be damaged.
  • On slopes, always work across the slope. Take particular care when going backwards and pulling the equipment.
  • Clean the equipment after each use, as described in the chapter on “Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage”. Switch off the equipment after work and in order to transport it, disconnect the plug and wait until the blade stops. There is a risk of in- jury. Mulch mowing With mulch mowing, the grass cuttings are not collected in a catcher box, but are shredded and distributed on the lawn. The nutrients contained in the clippings are thus left to be broken down by soil organisms and form a nutrient cycle. Mulched lawns therefore need to be fertilised much less frequently.30 GB MT
  • Always keep the equipment clean. To clean, use a brush or cloth but no de- tergent or solvent.
  • After mowing, use a piece of wood or plastic to remove adherent plant remains from the wheels, ventilation holes and blade area. Do not use hard or pointed objects, as these may dam- age the blade.
  • Before each use, check the lawnmower for obvious defects such as loose, worn or damaged parts. Check that all nuts, bolts and screws are sitting rmly.
  • Check the covers and protective de- vices for damage and check that they are sitting correctly. Replace them if necessary Changing the Blade If the blade is blunt, it can be sharpened by a specialist workshop. If the blade is damaged or showing signs of imbalance, it must be replaced

1. Remove the ignition key (11) or remove

the battery (13) from the device..

2. Turn the equipment over.

3. Use rm gloves and keep hold of the

blade (15). Use a spanner (width across ats 13) to turn the blade bolt (16) counter-clockwise from the motor spindle.

4. Reinstall the blade in reverse order.

Make sure that the blade is positioned correctly and that the blade screw is tightened. Storage

  • Store the mower in resting position (
  • Keep the equipment dry and out of reach of children.
  • Allow the motor to cool before storing the equipment in a con ned space.
  • Before a longer period of storage (e.g. over winter), remove the battery from the equipment. We will not be liable for damages caused by our equipment where these are caused by improper repair or the use of non- original parts or by use other than for the intended purpose. Waste disposal and environmental protection Remove the battery from the device and recycle the device, accessories and pack- aging in an environmentally-friendly man- ner. Instruction on how to dispose of the rechargeable battery can be found in the separate instruction manual for your bat- tery and charger. Machines do not belong with do- mestic waste.
  • Take the device to a recycling plant.
  • Throw the cut grass on the compost. Do not throw it in the normal household waste.
  • In accordance with the EU directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implemen- tation in national law, used electrical devices must be collected separately for disposal and recycled in an environ- mentally sound manner. Alternative to returning the machine: If not sending back the electrical de- vice, its owner is instead obliged to cooperate with its proper recycling in the event of a change in ownership.
