c) Keep in mind that the operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other people or their property.

d) Never operate the machine when you are tired, ill or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine.

2) PREPARATION

a) This machine can cause serious injuries. Read the instructions carefully for the correct handling, preparation, maintenance, starting and stopping of the machine. Become familiar with all controls and the proper use of the machine.

b) Never operate while people, especially children, or pets are nearby.

c) Dress properly! Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery and take care of long hair, they can be sucked into the ventilation slot. Use sturdy gloves, long trousers, nonskid footwear and safety glasses.

d) Do not operate the machine on a paved or gravel surface, where ejected material could cause injury.

3) OPERATION

a) This machine should not be used for any other purpose than described.

b) While operating, always wear substantial footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the machine when barefoot or wearing open sandals. Wear protective glasses.

c) Thoroughly inspect the area where the machine is to be used and remove all objects which can be thrown by the machine.

d) Before using the machine and after any impact, check for signs of wear or damage and repair as necessary.

e) Never operate the machine with damaged guards or without the guards in place.

f) Never allow children or people unfamiliar with the instructions to use the machine.

g) Stop using the machine while people, especially children, or pets are nearby.

h) Only use the machine in daylight or good artificial light.

i) Stop the machine before cleaning or when cleaning blockage.

j) Stop the machine before checking, carrying out maintenance or working on the machine.

k) Stop the machine before leaving the machine unattended.

I) Operate the machine in a recommended position and only on a firm, level surface.

m) While operating the machine, always ensure that the operating position is safe and secure. Keep the balance at all time. Always be sure of the footing on slopes. Walk, never run.

n) To reduce fire hazards, keep the machine free of debris, leaves and excessive lubricant.

o) Always ensure that the blow pipe is fitted when using the machine. Never attempt to use an incomplete machine or one fitted with an unauthorised modification.

p) Always use two hands to operate a machine with two handles.

q) Always be aware of your surroundings and stay alert for possible hazards of which you may not be aware due to the noise of the machine.
r) Always ensure that ventilation slots are kept clear of debris.
s) Avoid using the machine in bad weather conditions. especially if there is a risk of lightning.
t) Always stand clear of the discharge zone when operating this machine.
4) Maintenance and Storage
a) When the machine is stopped for servicing, inspection, transporting or storage, shut off the machine, remove the battery and make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop. Allow the machine to cool before making any inspections, adjustments, etc.
b) Always allow the machine to cool down before storing.
c) When not in use, store the machine out of the reach of children.
d) Use only manufacturers recommended replacement parts and accessories.
e) Store the product in a dry, clean place protected from direct sunlight and only after the battery has been removed.
5) Residual risks
Even if the machine is operated in accordance with the provision, residual risks will always still remain. The following dangers can arise in connection with the structure and design of the machine:
a) Health defects resulting from vibration emission if the machine is being used over longer period of time or not adequately managed and properly maintained.
b) Injuries and damage to property due to broken accessories or hidden objects that are suddenly dashed.
c) Injuries and damage to property due to thrown objects.

6) Emergency
Familiarize yourself with the use of this machine by means of this instruction manual. Memorize the safety directions and follow them to the letter. This will help to prevent risks and hazards:
a) Always be alert when using this machine so that you can recognize and handle risks early. Fast intervention can prevent serious injury and damage to property.
b) Stop the machine and remove the battery if there are malfunctions. Have the machine checked by a qualified professional and repaired, if necessary, before it is put into operation again.
c) In case of fire stop the machine and remove the battery.

d) Keep tight grip on the handles/grip surfaces.
e) Maintain this machine in accordance with these instructions and keep it well lubricated (when appropriate).

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ON RISKS DUE TO VIBRATION

a) The declared vibration data represents the main applications of the appliance, but different uses of the appliance or poor maintenance can result in different vibration data. This may significantly increase the vibration level over the total working period.
b) Additional safety measure shall be taken to protect the user from effects of vibration. Maintain the appliance and its accessories, keep hands warm and organize work patterns and periods.

FOR USE OF BATTERIES

a) Do not open, dismantle, shred or short-circuit batteries. Danger of explosion.
b) Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. Protect from mechanical shock. Keep dry and clean. Keep away from children.
c) Dispose of properly. Pay attention to environmental aspects of battery disposal. Do not dispose of in household waste.
d) Remove batteries when not using the tool for a longer period of time.
e) In case of battery leakage, remove the batteries and clean the battery compartment thoroughly. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
f) In case of damage and improper use of the battery, Vapours may be emitted. Provide for fresh air and seek medical help in case of complaints. The vapours can irritate the respiratory system.

Intended use

This garden tool is intended exclusively to handle foliage and garden refuse such as grass and small branches according to the descriptions and safety instructions indicated in this operating manual. The tool is not intended for commercial use.

Any use not compliant to the description in this manual or any modification to the tool is considered as improper use and could cause considerable dangers. The manufacturer is not liable for any type of damage resulting from this: the user bears the sole risk.

MOUNTING THE DEVICE

1 Push the rear and front tube together and secure with two long screws. Push wheel support on the front tube and secure with a short screw.

2 Push handle on body until it clicks into place and secure with two short screws

3 Mount additional handle. Select position by loosening star screw. Tighten star screw to fix position..

4 Open the knurled screw, feed the belt strap through the opening and close the knurled screw again.

Caution! Make sure there are no batteries in the battery slot.

INSERT BATTERIES

1 Press two charged batteries (not included) into the insertion slot 11 until it clicks into place.

SWITCHING ON/ OFF

1 Press the On/Off switch 13 to switch on the device. Release to switch it off again.

SUCTIONING

3 Turn selector switch 10 to indicated position. This can also be done while the device is operating.

2 Turn the speed control 12 to the required speed. Do not turn it faster than necessary..

BLOWING

4 Turn selector switch 10 to indicated position. Empty catch bag 8 before blowing.

CATCH BAG

1 Hang the hooks on the suction tube and the housing. Push the catch bag 8 over the catch bag socket 9 until it clicks into place.

2 To empty the catch bag 8, open the zip fastening at the bottom.

WORKING INSTRUCTIONS

1 When blowing, make sweeping movements from side to side and walk slowly forwards.

Caution! Keep the collected pile of refuse in front of you and blow around the outer edge. Do not blow in the center of the pile!.

• Turn the catch bag inside out after emptying and clean it thoroughly. In case of heavy soiling use soap and water.
• Always keep the appliance clean, dry and free of oil or grease.
• Wear safety glasses and gloves to protect your eyes and hands whilst cleaning.
• For safe and proper working, always keep the machine and ventilation slots clean.
• Regularly check for obvious defects and/or damaged components.
• Periodically check all fixings. These could become loose with time due to vibration.
• Check the catch bag regularly for signs of wear. If the zipper becomes difficult to pull, rub a bar of dry soap across the zipper teeth.
• Replace any worn or damaged parts.
• If the body of the appliance needs cleaning, wipe it with a brush or a soft damp cloth. A mild detergent can be used but nothing like alcohol, petrol or other cleaning agent.
• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts.
• Store the appliance in a dry place.

1. Warranty Period

The warranty period is 3 years. The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please retain the original receipt or invoice in order to be able to furnish evidence of the date of purchase.

2. Warranty Scope

The warranty applies exclusively to production or material defects. The warranty applies only in the case of private use of the item.

The warranty does not apply to defects resulting from

• misuse or improper use,
• use of force or external influences,
• damage due to failure to observe the installation instructions or instructions for use,
• connecting to an incorrect grid voltage or current type,
  • unprofessional installation,
  • overloading the device,
• use of non-approved attachments or accessories,
• failure to observe the maintenance and safety instructions,
• entry of foreign matter into the device,
• wear and tear due to normal use or
• commercial use.

3. Warranty Services

During the warranty period, the warrantor will inspect the defective item in order to determine whether a warranty incident is on hand. If a warranty incident is on hand, the warrantor will repair or replace the item at his own expense. If the item is no longer available at the time of the warranty incident, the warrantor may replace the item with a similar product. The replaced item or part shall become property of the warrantor.
