How to assemble the CasaFan TV36 II fan?

Follow the illustrations in the manual (figures 1 to 9). First mount the base, then the rear grille, the rotor, the front grille with the locking ring. Only operate the device when fully assembled.

How to use the oscillation?

Oscillation is activated by pressing the switch downwards, and stops by pulling it upwards. The friction clutch protects the mechanism in case of jamming.

The fan does not turn, what to do?

Check that the speed is not set to '0'. Make sure the fan is plugged in and the socket is powered. If the problem persists, unplug and contact an approved service.

Can I use the fan in a bathroom?

No, this fan is not designed for damp rooms. Never use it in a bathroom, shower, or near water.

How to clean the fan?

Unplug the device before any cleaning. Use a dry cloth or soft brush to remove dust. Do not use gasoline or flammable cleaners. Fully reassemble the fan after cleaning.

Can the fan be used by children?

Yes, from 8 years old under supervision. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children without supervision.

What to do if the power cord is damaged?

Do not use the device. The cord must be replaced only by a repair workshop approved by the manufacturer, as special tools are required.

Should I turn off the fan at night?

It is recommended not to leave the fan running unattended for long periods. Turn it off and unplug it if you leave the room.

How to dispose of the fan at end of life?

Describing the CasaFan-Ventilator

The fan is for circulating room air. Their use in machines which are outside and unprotected, in garages, in moist or wet rooms or rooms in danger of fire or explosion, is not permitted. All units are fitted with an oscillation function. This can be switched off even when fan is in use, and/or the blade is revolving. The oscillation is fitted with a slip clutch. This product is suitable for use in the commercial in accordance with the degree of protection (IPX0).

When dealing with electricity, just conforming to all the safety and precautionary measures can not describe every danger situation. They do not replace sensible procedures and care, which you have to take into account when first initiating and then running your fan.

When using any electric units, several basic rules have to always followed, as detailed below:

General

• The voltage details on the nameplate are to conform with the available mains voltage.
• The building mains must be earthed!
• Only operate the unit when completely assembled!

Operation

• The unit is to be operated on a level, stable base. Maximum altitude on firm surface: 80 cm above the ground!
• Position the mains cable such that no danger of tripping is possible in order to avoid throwing, or pulling the unit over.
• Do no push objects through the guard. Any loose objects which could be sucked in are to be removed from the suction area before switching the fan on. Keep loose clothing, such as scarves with fringes, away from the guard.
• The units are never be touched when having wet or moist hands.
• The units are never be used if you are barefooted.
• The units are never be used in a the bathroom or shower connected to an extension cord unless you take exceptional care.
• Do not pull on the cable or unit in order to separate the plug from the socket.
• Do not subject the unit to detrimental environmental influences (rain, strong sunlight etc).
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understands the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Never immerse an electrical device in water.
• Always take note of the general safety rules when using electrical equipment.

Oscillation

Oscillation is switched on by pushing the knob (Pos. 8/9 fig. 10) downwards and off by pulling it upwards.

Maintenance/cleaning notes

- Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work, remove the plug or switch off the electrical equipment!

• The appliance shall be disconnected from its power source during service and when replacing parts.

• The removal of the plug has to be such that an operator can check from any of the points to which he has access that the plug rmeians removed.

• Check regularly, but most definitely before every use, the mains cable and mains plug for damage.

• If any damage is visible, then further use of the unit must not be made.
• If any damage and/or reduced functioning occurs, switch off and do not manipulate the unit.
• If, in such as event, a repair is necessary, contact an authorised by the manufacturer customer service point.
• Clean the surface of the housing and the guard with a dry cleaning cloth and a damp brush.
• Do not use petrol or any similar light flammable cleaning material.
• After cleaning, the fan must be completely re-assembled.

Storage

• If the fan is not to be used for some time, then store it in a dry room.
• In addition, you could put a cover on your unit to protect it from dust or dirt deposits.

Disposal

• Remove mains plug.
• Cut through the mains cable at the plug.
• Dispose of the unit in a proper manner.

If the fault can not be remedied using the above listed remedies, then the plug has to be removed from the socket.A specialist must now establish the cause and carry out the repair work accordingly.If the mains cable to this unit is damaged, then it can only be repaired by a repair workshop named by the manufacturer, due a special tool being needed.Note:Opening the unit and repairs may only be carried out by a specialist!
