USING THE KITCHEN SCALE
- Install the batteries. Remove the lid (8) from the battery compartment (5) and install 2 (two) LRO3 (AAA) 1.5 V batteries. Mind the correct polarity and fit when changing the batteries. With the batteries properly installed, close the battery compartment lid (8). Do not mix different types of batteries and/or spent batteries with new batteries.
NOTE! Batteries included in the MWK-05M equipment.
- Place the kitchen scale on a firm, level and flat surface. Do not place it on a soft or unstable surface.
- Press the ON/OFF button (2). All segments on the LCD will come on, followed by the reading of "O" and the selected unit of measure.
- The MODE button (4) selects the units of measurement ("g" for grams, "ml" for millilitres of volume to measure water and milk, respectively). The bottom of the LCD shows the icon of the selected mode. If you want to display the volume of milk or water, select the appropriate mode by pressing the MODE button (and cycle between WEIGHT, MILK and WATER). The reading in millilitres (ml) is precise enough only when you weigh water or milk (in the respective mode). Other liquids may have a different density and cause the reading to be inaccurate.
- Start weighing by placing the product on the scale deck. The bowl (9) can help weigh loose or liquid bulk products. It is very convenient to use if you choose to tare the kitchen scale. The LCD display reads the product weight. The kitchen scale reading can be zeroed (if the total weight of the product(s) is less than 200 g) or tared (if the total weight of the products (s) is more than 200 g).
- The maximum measurement range is 5000 g (5 kg) and the minimum reading is 2 g; every weigh result can be rounded up or down, as applicable, to 1 g. If you leave the kitchen scale for 2 minutes, it will turn off by itself. If you want to turn off the kitchen scale immediately, press and hold the ON/OFF button (2) for approx. 2 seconds.
CAUTION! If the weight applied to the scale deck is above 5 kg (5000 g), the LCD will read "Err" (Error).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the kitchen scale with a clean cloth slightly damp with water. Do not immerse the appliance in water. Do not clean with any chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Do not clean with wire brushes or other scouring tools. If exposed to fat, spices, vinegar or any product with strong aromas, flavours or colours, immediately wipe the kitchen scale clean. Avoid exposure to citric acid. Once cleaned, wipe the appliance dry with a dry and soft cloth.
