SAFETY ADVICE AND WARN-
INGS - Clean all the parts of the prod- uct that will be in contact with food, as indicated in the clean- ing section, before use. - This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of ex- perience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. - Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. - Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years of age. - This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. - The temperature of the accessi- ble surfaces may be high when the appliance is in use. - Do not use the appliance in association with a programmer, timer or other device that auto- matically switches it on. - CAUTION: Do not use charcoal or other fuel with this appliance. - As an additional protection to the electrical supply for the ap- pliance, it is advisable to have a dierential current device with a maximum sensitivity of 30 mA. Ask for advice from a compe- tent installer. - Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled ca- bles increase the risk of electric shock. - Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. - Appliance is suitable for outdoor use. - If the connection to the mains has been damaged, it must be replaced, take the appliance to an authorised technical sup- port service. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the ap- pliance by yourself in order toavoid a hazard. - This appliance is for household use only, not professional, in- dustrial use. - The appliance must be connect- ed to a socket-outlet having an earthing contact. - Respect the MAX and MIN levels. - Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the mains voltage before plug- ging in the appliance. - Connect the appliance to a base with an earth socket withstanding a minimum of 16 amperes. - The appliance's plug must t into the mains socket properly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors. - Do not force the power cord. Never use the power cord to lift up, carry or unplug the appli- ance. - Do not allow the power cord to come into con- tact with the appliance's hot surfaces. - Do not touch the plug with wet hands. - If any of the appliance casings breaks, immedi- ately disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the possibility of an electric shock. - Place the appliance on a horizontal, at, stable surface, suitable for withstanding high tempera- tures and away from other heat sources and contact with water. - Do not store the appliance outdoors. - Do not leave the appliance out in the rain or exposed to moisture. If water gets into the appli- ance, this will increase the risk of electric shock. - Do not touch the heated parts of the appliance, as it may cause serious burns. - Do not touch metal parts or the body when it is operating, as it may cause serious burns. USE AND CARE: - Fully unroll the appliance's power cable before each use. - Do not use the appliance if the tray is not prop- erly tted underneath the heating element. - Do not use the appliance if its accessories are not properly tted. - Do not switch the appliance on without water. - Do not move the appliance while in use. - Do not use the appliance if it is tipped up and do not turn it over. - Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or connected to the mains. - Do not cover the cooking surface or food with aluminium foil and other similar materials. - Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in use and before undertaking any cleaning task. - Store this appliance out of reach of children and/or persons with physical, sensory or reduced mental or lack of experience and knowledge. - Do not store or transport the appliance if it is still hot. - Only use water with the appliance. - Turn the thermostat control to the minimum (MIN) setting. This does not mean that the appli- ance is switched o permanently. SERVICE: - Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by specialist personnel, and that only original spare parts or accessories are used to replace existing parts/accessories. - CAUTION: There is a risk of re if the appli- ance’s cleaning is not done according to these instructions. - Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the guarantee and the manufac- turer's liability null and void. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE: - Make sure that all products’ packaging has been removed. - Before using the product for the rst time, clean the parts that will come into contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning section.- Some parts of the appliance have been lightly greased. Consequently, the rst time the appli- ance is used a light smoke may be detected. After a short time, this smoke will disappear.
INSTALLATION OF THE LEGS (FOR MAXIM'S
PLUS MODEL): For the installation of the legs follow the following steps and the drawings of gure 3:
1. Place the leg covers (I) on the bottom of the
legs (II). NOTE: You must enter them on the side that does not have the hole for the screw. 2.Fix the upper part of the leg (III) with the sup- port for the grid (IV) introducing the screw on the outside and xing it with the wing nut. NOTE: The inclination of the upper part of the leg (III) must be opposite the grid support (Fig.3.1).
3. Also attach the lower part of the leg (II) to the
grid support and upper part.
4. Place the body of the barbecue against the
oor and insert the previously assembled assem- bly taking into account that the grid support must be on the inside.
5. Put the stand assembly and place the grid (VI).
NOTE: This barbecue can be used with or without legs, both indoors and outdoors. USE: - Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in. - Fill the tray with water, respecting the MAX and MIN levels. - Place the grid in one of the 2 optional heights. To place it in the highest position, insert the legs of the grid into the right hole (Fig. 2a). To place it in the lower position, insert them in the left hole (Fig. 2b) - Connect the appliance to the mains. - Turn the thermostat control to the desired tem- perature position. - The pilot light (D) comes on. - Wait until the pilot light has gone out which will indicate that the appliance has reached an adequate temperature. - During the appliance’s use the pilot light will come on and o automatically, indicating the heating elements are working, and therefore maintaining the desired temperature. - Place carefully on the grill the food to be cooked. - In order to minimize the generation of acrilamida during the cooking process, avoid reaching dark brown colours on the foodstus. - The water will evaporate during the appliance’s use, so that it will be necessary to rell the water tray. - When relling, avoid dropping water on the heating element.
ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE
APPLIANCE: - Select the minimum position (MIN) using the thermostat control. - Unplug the appliance from the mains. - Clean the appliance. SAFETY THERMAL PROTECTOR: - The appliance has a safety device, which pro- tects the appliance from overheating. CLEANING - Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task. - Remove the tray as indicated in (Fig. 1), to facilitate cleaning. - Clean the electrical equipment and the mains connection with a damp cloth and dry. DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. - Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry. - Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance. - Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water. - It is advisable to clean the appliance regularly and remove any food remains.
