This device is designed to repel dogs and cats. It will detect a passing animal with the integrated motion sensor and emit an ultrasonic sound of 20,000 to 27,000 Hz. The sound is most uncomfortable for cats and it will startle them. Any other use as the mentioned is not permitted! No liabilities will be taken for damages or consequential damages or claims resulting out of not reading and/or not following the user guide and/or any form of modification on or in the product. Under these circumstances, no warranty services will be granted.

  • It may take a few days or weeks until the effect fully takes place.
  • The dispersion of the sound is related to the local surroundings.
  • The product can be mounted quickly and immediately provides an optimum protec- tion against animals.
  • The motion sensor registers the movement of warm bodies. This also includes hu- man beings. In order to conserve the batteries, we recommend switching the device off when many people are in the area.
  • The ultrasonic frequencies are not harmful to the animals.
  • If you should have your own pets in the covered area, we recommend switching the device off.

  • Never hold the device directly to your ear. Humans cannot hear ultrasonic frequenci- es, but they might the device emits at a high volume and then therefore it might be harmful, if the ear is exposed to them over a longer period.11
  • Dog- and Cat-Repellent

Dogs and cats are most popular pets and are always around the house and the garden. But there are always some areas that they should not be in, such as larders, bedrooms or sand pits. The Gardigo Cat-Repellent registers all animals passing by within a distance of 7 m and at an angle of 70°. As soon as the motion sensor is triggered, the device will emit an ultrasonic sound varying between 20 and 27 kHz. These frequencies are uncomfortable and disturbing to dogs and cats. Within a short period of time, they will avoid the area. Putting in the batteries Of the device requires 6 x Mignon (AA, 1,5 V) batteries . Please do not use rechargeable batteries, as these very often have a lower voltage. This can strongly influence the per- formance of the device.

  • Open the battery compartment at the back of the device with a screw driver.
  • Insert 6 pieces of 1,5 V AA batteries. Please pay attention to the polarity. The minus end of the battery always connects to the spring in the battery compartment.
  • Close the battery compartment again.
  • The device is now ready for use. The Cat-Repellent can also be powered with a power supply. A 9 V, 100 mA power supply can be purchased through our store (Accessory No. 60052). The power supply is connec- ted to the power input socket

Attention! If you are using a power supply with the device, then the device may not be installed or used outside the house! Mounting The device can be mounted to a wall, a tree or a fence or can be placed onto the table or a shelf. To place it on the table, just turn it upside down. This does not have any effect on the function. We recommend installing the device, so that it cannot be reached by the animals, as they might find an interest in the source of the uncomfortable noise and try to destroy it.12 Installing the device with the bracket

  • Release the mounting bracket from the housing by pushing it upwards. The moun- ting bracket can be found at the back of the housing.
  • Screw the mounting bracket with the supplied screws to a wall, a fence, a tree or any similar place.
  • After mounting, the device will easily slip into the bracket. Use
  • The device is switched on with the I/O switch . When the motion sensor recognises movement, the red control LED will light up.
  • Put the device into the bracket or onto a table or shelf. To place it on table, turn the device 180° around. This will have no influence on the performance, as is the detec- tion angle is 70° in all directions.
  • Make sure that the motion sensor has a clear view of the area it is intended to cover.
  • The test button allows you to check, if the device is fully functioning. You cannot hear the ultrasonic sound, but the device will emit a functional test sound that is audible to humans. Do not hold the device directly to your ear.
  • Eective coverage: up to 7 m

Why can I not hear any sound? The device emits varying frequencies between 20.000 – 27.000 Hz. The human range usually does not exceed 18.000 Hz. Therefore humans cannot hear these ultrasonic fre- quencies. You can check the function of the device by pressing the test button (chapter 5).13 I can hear an unusual sound. Is the device broken? If the device emits audible, unusual sounds, then it is an indicator that the batteries are becoming flat. Please change the batteries. How long can the batteries last? Depending on the battery type and the frequency of activation, the batteries will last between four weeks and six months. We recommend the use of alkaline batteries. The quality of the batteries and the frequency of activation are the main factors influencing the battery life.
