How to install the Gardigo 70035 mole repellent?

Choose a sunny location. Drive the aluminum stake at least 3/4 of its length into the ground. If the soil is hard, dig a hole then pack the soil. Turn on the device with the switch under the housing.

What is the range of the Gardigo 70035?

The coverage area is approx. 700 m², but may vary depending on soil composition (sand, clay, peat).

How to change the device battery?

Remove the transparent cover, then carefully lift the solar panel (without damaging the cables). Replace the battery AA NiMH 1.2 V 850 mAh respecting polarity. Close the panel and cover.

Why are there more molehills after installing the repellent?

This is normal. The mole detects the change and explores. In the long run, the vibrations disturb it and it will eventually leave. Do not place the device directly on a molehill.

Can I use the device in winter?

Yes, but ensure the solar panel receives enough light. The power reserve allows up to 7 days without exposure. If the device does not work, check lighting or battery condition.

How to prevent animals from getting used to it?

Turn off the device for 1 to 2 days after 2-3 weeks of use, then turn it back on. Gradually move it to the edge of the property to drive animals outward.

Does the device work for all rodents?

It is effective against moles, voles, field mice, and ants. However, each animal may react differently. The vibrations are unbearable for most underground animals.

What to do if the device no longer turns on?

Check that the switch is ON. Ensure the solar panel is not obstructed (grass, dirt). If necessary, replace the battery (see question 3). Insufficient light may also be the cause.

Is the device safe for pets?

Yes, the frequencies are harmless for beneficial animals and pets. They are inaudible to humans and do not harm dogs, cats, or birds.

1. Product description

This animal repeller device is one of the new generation of repellers! It generates vibrations in approx. 30 sec intervals within a frequency range of 400 Hz ± 100 Hz. The special sound frequencies achieve in an open area an optimal range of approx. 700 m². Depending on the soil conditions, the covered area may vary. As the sound frequencies are unbearable for many soil-living animals, they will soon for a quieter location within a few days. Other beneficial animals are not harmed. The Solar Animal Repeller can be used in the garden, in the field or in other outdoor areas with unwanted ground diggers. The finely tuned electronic components and the efficient solar modules guarantee constant operation even with poor light. This device is disturbing to voles, moles, ants and similar ground animals.

Any other use as the mentioned is not permitted! No liabilities will be taken for damages or claims resulting out of not reading and/or not following the user guide and/or any form of modification on or in the product. Under these circumstances, no warranty services will be granted. Liability will not be taken for consequential damages.

2. Safety instructions

- Electrical appliances, packaging materials, etc. do not belong in the hands of children. Children are not allowed to play with the device.

• Always check whether the device is suitable for the respective place where you intend using it.
• The use of this device is not designed for use by persons (including children under 8 years) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or the lack of experience or lack of knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been instructed in the use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Keep these instructions in a safe place and pass them on when giving the device to a third person.
• Rechargeable Batteries should not be used in temperatures under 0 °C. They may become damaged and lose their capacity.
• If you do not use the device for an extended period of time, remove the batteries and store them accordingly.

3. Installation and maintenance

1. First charge the device fully when it is switched off! Make sure that the solar panel has sufficient sunlight.
2. Choose a suitable and sunny place taking into account point 6 of these instructions.
3. Insert the device as deep as possible into the ground, but at least to 34 of the aluminum skewer. If the ground is too firm, you can dig a hole in advance. If you have done this, make sure that you fill the hole with earth after inserting the device and press it down firmly. The looser the earth, the less the vibrations are conducted.
4. To start, press the switch on the underside of the housing. The device is now ready for use.
5. Check the function of the device at regular intervals. If the device no longer functions normally, it may be necessary to change the battery (see point 4) or the device does not receive sufficient sunlight.

4. Replacement of the rechargeable battery

1. Remove the transparent housing cover.
2. Carefully take off the solar panel from the rechargeable battery which is underneath. When doing so, make sure that the cable connection between the solar panel and the circuit board which is underneath the rechargeable battery, is left intact and is not damaged.
3. Remove the old rechargeable battery from its fitting.
4. Insert a new rechargeable battery size Mignon (AA) and type Ni-MH with 1.2 V and 850 mA. When doing so, mind the correct polarity as shown on the bottom inside the battery fitting.
5. Carefully place the solar panel back on the rechargeable battery.
6. Reattach the transparent casing cover to the casing body.

6. Notes on operation

To successfully and permanently repel a mole or vole from your garden, there are a few instructions for use that have to be observed: The mole should not be 'encircled' by the mole repellent. To avoid this, start from the house and move away from the house wall to repel the mole. To do this, place one or preferably several mole repellents in the ground near to the house wall – and, most importantly, before the first molehill. Never bore directly into a molehill.

Reposition the device every 2 – 3 weeks nearer to the boundary of the garden (away from the house). The time should coincide with the 'movement' of the molehills. If the molehills are still in the same position after 4 weeks, please check whether the device is actually operational. If this is the case, switch off the device for 1 – 2 days and then turn it on again. The differing lengths of time taken to repel the animal can have diverse reasons: e.g. the mole is more resistant or the soil contains more sand, turf or clay. The Gardigo mole repellent system has an integrated on/off switch – this is important to note when purchasing a solar operated mole repellent system. The device should be switched off at regular intervals to avoid the animals getting used to the sound!

Shortly after setting up the device you might find more molehills than before in the garden, this shouldn't discourage you, it's quite normal. The mole and its friends from the neighbouring gardens notice a change in their environment and want to find out where the change is coming from. In the long run the sound will be too annoying, and they will start searching for a quieter place.

Important: Make sure that the lawn around the solar panel is cut short so that the solar panel is not covered. If the device is not used for a longer period of time, please ensure that the switch is set to "OFF". In this way you can be sure that the batteries do not discharge.

Note: the response of each animal to our devices may vary. The development of our devices, methods and application tips are based on experience, testing and feedback from our customers. Therefore the devices are successful in most cases.

7. General information

• The CE conformity has been declared. All documents are at our office and can be viewed.
• For safety and conformity reasons it is not permitted to rebuild or modify the device and/or use it in any other way than described above.
• As Gardigo has no control of the correct of appropriate installation and use of the device the warranty can only be applied to a fully equipped device in prime condition. We assume neither warranty nor liabili-

ty for damages or following damages related to this product. This applies especially if it has been modifications or repairs have been made by the customer, if the circuitry has been modified or components have been used other than the original components and/or if the operation of the device has been incorrect, careless or abusive.

- The device may be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use any solvents or detergents.

Never Insert the Solar Mole and Ant Repellent directly into the molehill. It is advisable to occasionally switch it off or remove it to prevent habituation.

Environmental protection notice

If possible, remove the batteries and rechargeable batteries from the device before disposal and dispose of them separately. At the end of its life span this product may not be disposed as normal household waste but must be disposed of at a collecting place for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. The icon on the product, in the manual, or on the packing points to this fact. The materials are recyclable according to their labelling. Through reusing, material recycling, or other forms of utilisation of old devices you make an important contribution to the protection of the environment. Please ask the local administration for the responsible waste disposal centre.

Do not throw batteries or rechargeable batteries into household waste!

Consumers are legally obligated to return used and rechargeable batteries, whether they contain harmful substances* or not, to designated recycling areas, disposal sites, or stores where batteries/rechargeable batteries can be bought. By doing so, you are fulfilling all legal battery recycling and disposal obligations and are contributing to a better environment. Make sure batteries are completely discharged before disposing!
