a potentially explosive environment. Keep at a distance of at least 30 cm from walls. In order to prevent overheat- ing of the device or a potential fire, the device must not be covered. The stone plate must not under any circumstances be covered with aluminium foil, alumini- um containers or heat-resistant materi- als. ~ The power cable must not touch the hot surfaces during operation. DANGER! Risk of injury through burning! ~ The metal surfaces, heating element and stone plate become very hot during op- eration. During operation, only touch the handles and control elements of the device. ~ During preparation, do not leave the plastic spatula on the hot stone plate or in the raclette pan. The plastic spatulas can also become hot. ~ The device remains very hot after it is switched off, and must not be touched. ~ Only transport the device when it has cooled down, and when doing so only use the handles intended for this pur- pose. ~ Please note that the stone plate remains hot for a very long time. Allow it suffi- cient time to cool down before removing it from the base unit and cleaning it. ~ Use oven gloves when you are cooking food at hot temperatures. Spitting fat could otherwise cause burns.
Never use the device without the stone plate. Otherwise the red-hot heating ele- ments are exposed, and could cause se- vere burns if touched. ~ If fat catches fire on the device, never try to extinguish it with water! There is a danger of explosive deflagra- tion or electric shock. Instead, cover the device with a fire blanket. If necessary, place a non-slip mat under the device. ~ Only use utensils made from wood or heat-resistant plastic. Metal cutlery can damage the coated surface of the ra- clette pans. ~ During heating up and operation, never leave empty raclette pans in the device. 5. Tips on the hot stone
The hot stone takes approx. 25 minutes until it has heated up enough for you to begin food preparation. Once it has heated up, the stone holds the heat for a long time, and transfers it evenly and gently to the barbe- cued food. You can prepare meat, fish, vegetables and fruit on the hot stone. To avoid encrustation during barbecuing, oil the top of the stone plate1 thoroughly. One advantage is that you can also cut food on the stone plate1. You only need to avoid dropping it. This can cause it to break. Always allow the stone plate1 to cool down well after barbecuing, before removing it from the grill and cleaning it. Because of its good heat storage properties, this takes ap- prox. 45 minutes. Allowing it to cool is not only important to avoid burns. The stone plate1 can develop cracks if placed in dish- water while still hot. The hot stone is a natural product and can change colour as a result of contact with the barbecued food. This is normal, and does not affect its function or the taste of the bar- becued food.
FIRE HAZARD! ~ Place the device on a dry, level, non-slip and heat-resistant surface. ~ The device must not be operated close to flammable liquids or materials, or in a potentially explosive environment. Keep at a distance of at least 30 cm from walls. NOTE: when in operation for the first time, some smoke and odour may be generated by the device. This is related to materials used on the heating elements during assem- bly, and is not a defect with the device. En- sure adequate ventilation.

7.2 Preparing raclette
DANGER! Risk of injury through burning! ~ During preparation, do not leave the plastic spatula5 on the hot stone plate1 or in the raclette pan6. The plastic spatulas can also become hot. WARNING! Risk of material damage! ~ In the raclette pan6, only use the plas- tic spatulas5 included in the items sup- plied and under no circumstances cutlery made of metal. NOTE: do not overfill the raclette pan6, otherwise the ingredients could touch the heating element7 and burn.
1. Fill one raclette pan6 at a time with the
desired ingredients.

3. Remove the raclette pan6 from the de-

4. Push the contents of the raclette pan6
onto a plate using a plastic spatula5. NOTE: since the raclette pans6 have a non-stick coating, they do not need to be oiled again before each additional portion.
- Always make sure that die surface of the stone plate1 is well oiled and the device has been preheated for at least
- For foods that stick easily, you can mari- nate the bite-sized pieces with seasoned oil before barbecuing.
- You can also use knives and other kitch- en utensils made of metal on the stone plate1.
DANGER! Risk of electric shock due to moisture! ~ Disconnect the mains plug4 from the mains socket before any cleaning. ~ Never immerse the device in water, and protect it from drips and splashes. DANGER! Risk of injury through burning! ~ Prior to cleaning, let the device cool down until there is no longer a risk of burning. ~ Please note that the stone plate1 re- mains hot for a very long time. Allow it sufficient time to cool down (approx. 45minutes) before removing it from the base unit2 and cleaning it. CAUTION
~ Never use any abrasive, corrosive or scouring cleaning agents. This can dam- age the coated surface of the raclette pans6. NOTE: do not wait too long after cooling before cleaning, otherwise food residues will dry hard and become difficult to re- move.

soak the parts in warm water for about 20 – 30 minutes. You can add a little mild detergent to the water.
4. If it is not possible to remove all encrus-
tations in this manner, you can remove the softened encrustations with a plastic spatula5.
5. Carefully dry all parts after cleaning.
Pay particular attention to the recesses in the handles of the raclette pans6. Shake out any remaining water. NOTES:
- The hot stone is a natural product and can change colour as a result of contact with the barbecued food. This is nor- mal, and does not affect its function or the taste of the barbecued food.
