NORMAL USE The compressor is intended for inflating intact car, motorcycle, toy tyres and tubes as well as inflatable toys, sporting goods, and recreational items. This device may be used by children age 8 years and up and per- sons with limited physical, sensory and mental capacity or lacking experience and knowledge when supervised or instructed on the safe use of the device and having understood the risks involved. Do not allow children to play with the device. Cleaning and user mainte- nance must not be performed by children without supervision. This device is not intended for commercial use. Any other use or modification of the device is considered improper and involves significant risks. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages due to improper use.18 12V Portable Compressor The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by:

• Improper connection and/or operation.

• External forces, damage to the device and/or damage to parts of the device due to mechanical impacts or overload.

• Any type of modifications to the device.

• Using the device for purposes not described in this operating manual.

• Subsequent damages from improper and/or incorrect use.

• Moisture and/or inadequate ventilation.

• Unauthorised opening of the device. This will void the warranty. • Keep the device out of the reach of children. Children do not rec- ognise the hazards this product creates!

• Strangulation hazard! Do not allow children to play with the com- ponents or fasteners, as they could be swallowed and result in suocation.20 12V Portable Compressor Danger!

• Damaged lines can cause fatal electric shock. Discontinue using cables if damaged.

• Never allow liquids of any type to enter the device. Danger to life due to electric shock and risk of property damage.

• Do not leave the device running unattended. Warnung!

• Risk of injury, fire and damage due to short-circuit. Improper use of the product can result in serious injuries and damage.

• Fire hazard! Please note, the car plug will become hot with ex- tended use. Unplug the product when it is not being used.

• Ensure the mains voltage matches the input voltage (12VDC) on the device to prevent damage to the device.

• Immediately stop using the device if you notice smoke or an unu- sual odour.

• The high-pressure hose becomes hot during use. Therefore allow it to cool down before touching it and rolling it up. Risk of electric shock!

• Do not expose the product to rain or moist conditions. Avoid spill- ing or dripping water or other liquids on it. Water entering electri- cal devices will increase the risk of electric shock.

• Ensure that all plugs and cables are free of moisture. Never con- nect the device to the mains with wet or moist hands.

• Do not use the compressor for more than 15 minutes. Then allow it to cool down for approx. 15 minutes. Overheating and perma- nent damage may otherwise occur.

• Only unplug the cable from the outlet by the plug. The cable could be damaged.

• Never use the cable to carry or pull the device.

• Do not use device if damaged. Damage to the power cable, the device or the charging cable increase the risk of electrical shock.

• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device. Immediately have a defective device or damaged power cable repaired or replaced by a speciality shop.21 GB Instructions for use Risk of damage!

• Never operate the device if it has been dropped or damaged in any other way. For inspection and repair, take it to a qualified electri- cian. Special notes

• Do not inflate objects beyond the intended or specified pressure. The object could burst.

• Never inflate larger objects such as lorry or tractor tyres, air mat- tresses or rubber boats. This exceeds the delivery rate, thus the run-time of the compressor.

• The pressure specifications of the manometer are reference val- ues. Check the pressure with a calibrated air gauge.

• The max. pressure of 116 PSI (8 bar) will only be reached if the pump volume is not greater than 0.5 L.22 12V Portable Compressor PRODUCT OVERVIEW

• Please remember, on some vehicles the 12 V car socket only works if the ignition is on.

• Always unplug the car plug from the 12 V car socket. When doing so, always pull by the car plug, never the cable.

• The tyre pressure increases as the temperature rises. The recom- mended tyre pressure is typically specified for cold tyres (approx. 20 °C). Please refer to the owner’s manual for your vehicle.

• Do not check the tyre pressure on warm tyres (e.g. after long trips). Attention! Observe the specifications of the manufacturer of the product. Do not use the compressor to inflate flotation devices! Switching the compressor on/off

3. Wait a few seconds until the display [11] reads 0.0. When the de-

vice is not being used for 50seconds, the display will automati- cally switch o to save energy.

4. Perform the desired tasks as described in the following chapters.

the device. Changing the pressure unit (PSI, bar or kPa) Repeatedly press the pressure unit button "UNIT"[13] until the dis- play [10] shows the desired pressure unit.24 12V Portable Compressor Checking the tyre pressure Note: The display [11] must read 0.0 before measuring.

1. Release the lever on the valve adapter [7].

2. Attach the valve adapter [7] to the valve on the vehicle and

secure. If the valve adapter [7] is correctly connected to the vehicle’s valve, the display [11] will show the current tyre pressure.

3. If this value corresponds to the recommended tyre pressure for

the vehicle you can remove the valve adapter [7]. Increasing the tyre pressure Important:

• Do not press the buttons [12] or [14] whilst inflating.

• Release the On/O switch [5] to manually stop inflating.

• If the device is connected to the vehicle’s 12 V power supply but you do not start inflating, the display [11] will switch o after a few minutes. It can be reactivated by pressing the pressure unit button "UNIT" [13]. If the value shown is below the vehicle’s recommended tyre pres- sure, proceed as follows to adjust it:

4. Press the preset button "+" [12] or preset "-" button[14] for 2-3

seconds until the value in the display flashes.

5. Press the "+"[12] or "–"[14] buttons until the preset in the dis-

play [11] corresponds to the correct tyre pressure.

6. Press the On/O switch [5] to switch the compressor on. The

compressor increases the tyre pressure according to the preset value and switches o automatically.

7. Release the lever on the valve adapter [7] and carefully discon-

nect the valve adapter[7].25 GB Instructions for use Using the included valves There are 2 common valve adapter in the compartment [4] of the compressor. Be sure to always observe the instructions for the item you will be inflating.

• Valve for inflatable toys [9] Screw the desired valve onto the valve adapter[7]. Observe the maximum pressure of the item you wish to inflate and read the respective operating instructions. Switching the light on/off The light source of the compressor is intended to illuminate the work area (valve). Warning! Risk of injury! Do not look directly into the light or shine into others’ eyes as this may damage the retina.

• Switching on: Press the Light On/O switch [2]. The LED[1] will light up white.

• Switching o: Press the Light On/O switch [2] again.

It is triggered by short-cir- cuits or voltage peaks and will then require replacement. Attention! Do not insert higher rated fuses. This may otherwise damage the electronics.
