- Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.
- Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
- Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
- Do not under any circumstances attempt (e.g. damage in power cord, product is dropped, etc.) to repair the product yourself. For servicing and repairs, please consult an authorised service agent.
- The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.
- Only unplug from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.
- Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.

Use heat-proof or wooden spatulas with the product to prevent damage to the heating plates' nonstick coating. Make sure that the spatulas used do not have any pointy or sharp edges.

Do not place the product on hotplates (gas, electric, coal stoves, etc.).

Fire hazard! Bread and other foodstuffs can burn! Do not use bread with a high sugar content since this may cause fire. Never leave the product unattended.

Risk of burning! Do not touch the product's hot surfaces. Touch the product only by its handle.
INTENDED USE
This product is intended for the preparation of food only. Any other use can lead to damages of the product or injuries.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
During manufacturing, parts of the product are coated with a thin oil film for their protection. To remove production residue, run the product for approx. 10 minutes without foodstuffs. Make sure there is sufficient ventilation as a slight odor and some smoke may occur. This is normal and will disappear shortly.
GENERAL OPERATION
1 Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet.
2 The red and green indicator lights turn on when the product is connected. Green light will turn OFF when the temperature is reached.
CAUTION
Surfaces get hot during operation. Never touch the hotplates with sharp or abrasive items, as this would damage the hotplate surfaces.
CHANGING HOTPLATES
3 Push release tabs and remove the cooking hotplates.
4 Fit the cooking hotplate at the hinge and push slightly until it clicks into place.
SANDWICH TOASTING
While the product heats up, you can butter the toast and prepare the fillings. We recommend using only slices of toast, which have the same shape as the hotplates of the product.
5 Open the product and place slices of toast on the sandwich plates.
6 Add the filling and the top toast slices.
7 Close the product firmly and locking it with the handle latch.
Note: After about 2-3 minutes the sandwiches are ready.
8 Unlock the handle latch and open the lid carefully by using the handle.
9 Use a heat-resistant plastic or wooden spatula to take out the finished sandwich.
10 Unplug the power plug from the power outlet.

CONTACT GRILL AND BAKING WAFFLES

11 1. Insert the grill plates.
- Grill plates have non-stick coating but you can also apply some oil, grease, butter lard or margarine on the surface.
- Refer to step 1 - 2 of GENERAL OPERATION.
- Open the product and place the grill-food on the lower grill plate and close the lid. Only use precooked meat. The product is not suitable for grilling raw meat.
- Check the grill-food after about two minutes.
- Grill your food, until it has reached the desired degree of browning.
Note: Lightly grease the food to be grilled (instead of the grilling plates) with little butter or oil. This will prevent excess butter or oil from smoking.
Baking waffles
12 1. Insert the waffle plates.
- Grease the waffle plate slightly with butter, margarine or edible oil.
- Refer to step 1 - 2 of GENERAL OPERATION.
- Open the product and then spread the batter evenly across the bottom-baking surface.
- Check the baking result after about two minutes.
Caution: Opening the lid will tear the waffle
- Continue baking the waffle until it has reached the desired degree of browning. The waffles can be baked to a golden yellow or a crispy brown.
Note: Use a heat resistant plastic or wooden spatula to take out the food.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Warning! Unplug the product and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
- Warning! When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning mechanisms and tools may scratch the surface(s).
- Clean the product's exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly.
• Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch). - Take out the hotplates immediately after use and clean with warm water and a little dishwashing detergent, then wipe it dry before re-assembly.
- Keep the product in a dry, cool location which is protected against moisture and direct sunlight. Keep this product out of the reach of children.
