Levels of noise and vibration were determined according to the standards and regulations in the declaration of conformity.
The specified total vibration value and the stated noise emission value have been measured according to a standardised test method and can be used to compare one power tool with another.
The specified total vibration value and the stated specified noise emission value can also be used for a provisional assessment of the load.

The vibration and noise emissions may deviate from the specified values during actual use of the power tool, depending on how the power tool is being used and, in particular, what kind of material is being worked on.
-Safety measures for the protection of the operator are to be determined that are based on an estimate of the actual vibration load under the real operating conditions (for this, all parts of the operating cycle are to be taken into account, for example, times in which the power tool is turned off, and those during which it is turned on but running without a load).

General Safety Directions for Power Tools

WARNING! Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term „power tool“ in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool).
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of fl ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and by-standers away while operating a power tool. Dis-tractions can cause you to lose control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operation of the power tool in a damp environment is unavoidable, please use a residual current circuitry. The use of a residual current circuitry reduces the risk of an electric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medication. A moment of inattention white operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
h) Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles.
A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from
the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.
in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected situations.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Additional safety instructions
If the mains cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or their customer service or by a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
Residual risks
There will always be residual risks even if you operate this power tool according to the instructions. The following hazards may occur in connection with the type and design of this power tool:
a) Lung damage if suitable respiratory protection is not worn.
b) Hearing damage if suitable ear protection is not worn.
c) Damage to health as a result of - touching the area of the grinding tool which is not covered; - ejection of parts of workpieces or damaged grindstone.
d) Health injuries resulting from the effect of vibration on the hands and arms in the event that the device is used over a longer period of time or is not used and maintained properly.
Warning! During operation, this power tool produces an electromagnetic fi eld. Under certain circumstances, this fi eld may negatively affect active or passive medical implants. In order to reduce the danger of serious or fatal injuries, we recommend that individuals who wear medical implants should consult their doctor and the manufacturer of the implant before operating the machine.
Operation

Caution! Risk of injury!
- Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out any work on the device.
- Only use grindstone and accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Using other attachment tools and other accessories may represent a risk of injury to you.
- Never operate the device without protective equipment.

Despite spark protection, always wear safety gogg-
les while working in order to avoid eye injuries.

We recommend wearing ear protection to prevent damage to hearing.
Grinding drill bits

Rough-grind heavily dama- ged drill bits with a fi le or on a bench grinder fi rst.

Trial run:
Always carry out a trial run of at least 1 minute duration without load before carrying out your first grinding procedure and after every grindstone replacement. Switch the
device off immediately if considerable vibration occurs or if you hear abnormal noises.
- Turn the adjusting wheel (1) all the way in the "DOWN" direction. The grindstone (8) is lowered completely.
- Insert the drill bit in the smallest fi tting drill mount (2) on the tool.
The diameters (∅) of the drill mount (2) are indicaext to this on the tool.

-
Move the On/Off switch (6) to the "I" position to switch the tool on. The tool turns on.
-
Turn the adjusting wheel (1) in the "UP" direction until you hear a grinding noise. Turning guides the grindstone (8) towards the drill bit.

Do not turn the adjusting wheel (1) too far in the direction, as the grindstone can come into contact with housing.
-
Applying slight pressure, loosen the drill bit and quickly turn it back and forth between the left and right stops about 10 times. With small drill bits, about 5 times is enough.
-
Remove the drill bit, turn it 180° around its own axis and insert it back into the drill mount (2) up to the grindstone.
-
If necessary, repeat steps 5 and 6 until both edges are sharp.

text_image
a a 118° bThe angle between the two cutting edges (a) should be 118°. Both cutting edges (a) must have the same angle to the drill axis (b) and must be the same length so that the drill runs centrically.
- Move the On/Off switch (6) to position "○" to switch the tool off. The device turns off.
Replacing the grindstone

Information on replacement
- Ensure that the grindstone dimensions match those of the device.
- Never use separate bushings or adapters in order to make grindstones with a hole that is too large fit the device.
- Do not use any saw blades.
- Reassemble the device completely after replacing the grindstone.
- Replace the grindstone when it is worn, damaged or broken, or if grinding performance decreases or is irregular.

Switch off the device and unplug the mains plug.
