- Modes and Options description : CHARGE Mode (7.3V / 6A) :Mode designed to charge and maintain (oating charge) 6V lead-acid batteries. 8 step automatic maintenance cycle.CHARGE Mode (14.6V / 6A) :Mode designed to charge and maintain (oating charge) 12V lead-acid batteries. 8 step automatic maintenance cycle.«Small battery» opttion (0.8A) :This limits the charging current to 0.8A to safely charge small batteries. Activate this option to charge small batteries (< 15 Ah).8 GYSFLASH 6 HERITAGE
REFRESH Option :Option which add an extra step (step 7) to the charge cycle to restore deeply discharged batteries. : this option is not recommended for charging sealed batteries.Recommendation : Check the battery’s water level and if necessary, perform with a Refresh charge.
- Charging curve : The GYSFLASH 6 HERITAGE uses an 8 step charging curve which guarantees optimal performance for your battery.
Refresh(If option activated)1h - 4hStep : AnalysisAnalyses the battery state (charge level, polarity inversion, wrong battery…)Step : Charge ( 6A-0.8A* Maximum current fast charge to reach an 80% charge level.Step : Recovery ( 3A-0.5A*)Recovering damaged elements due to a prolonged deep discharge.Step : Absorption ( 7.3V / 14.6V)Constant voltage charge to reach a 100% charge level.Step : TestSulfated battery testStep : Refresh (option 15.8V) If the refresh option has been selected, the charger will inject an additional current that will generate some gas, thus recondition-ning the battery’s cells. During this phase, the battery may loose a bit of water.Étape : Desulfation ( 7.9V / 15.8V)Battery desulfation algorithm.Step : Floating/maintenance charge ( 6.7V / 13.6V)Maintains battery charge level at its maximum.*with « small battery » option active
