Frequently Asked Questions - Gysflash 6.24 PL GYS

What types of batteries can the Gysflash 6.24 PL charge?
It can charge 24 V lead batteries (Gel, AGM, Liquid) from 15 to 125 Ah (up to 170 Ah in maintenance) and 24 V lithium batteries: Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP/LiFePO4) from 2 to 125 Ah, and standard Lithium-ion (NMC, NCA, LCO, Li-Po, MCO) from 2 to 125 Ah.
How to start a charge with the Gysflash 6.24 PL?
Connect the charger to the battery then to the mains (220-240 V). Press the black button (⚫) for 3 seconds to unlock, select the mode with the ▶ button, then press ▶ for 3 seconds to lock. Charging starts automatically after 5 seconds.
What are the different charging modes?
Three modes: Lead Charge (29.2 V/6 A), Lithium-ion Charge (28.7 V/6 A), and Lithium Iron Phosphate Charge (27.6 V/6 A). A UVP Wake UP mode is available for deeply discharged lithium batteries.
How long does it take to charge a battery?
Time depends on capacity and type. Examples for lead 20 Ah: about 2 h (0 to 90%). For 50 Ah: about 5 h. For 125 Ah: about 13 h. For lithium, the equivalent is faster (e.g., a 6 Ah lithium battery is equivalent to lead 18 Ah and charges in 1 h).
What to do if the indicator flashes rapidly?
This indicates reverse polarity, too high voltage, or short-circuited clamps. Check connections and ensure the battery is 24 V.
Is the charger protected against connection errors?
Yes, it has protection against reverse polarity, short circuits, and an anti-spark system. It is double insulated and compatible with vehicle electronics.
Can I use this charger for discharged or sulfated batteries?
Yes, the lead mode includes a recovery stage for deeply discharged batteries and a desulfation stage at 31.6 V for sulfated batteries.
How to maintain the charger?
Always unplug before maintenance. Clean surfaces with a dry cloth. Never use solvents or harsh products. The internal fuse must be replaced by a professional.
What to do if the charger does not start?
Check that the battery is correctly connected and the charger is plugged in. If the indicator is steady after pressing ▶, charging is interrupted; press ▶ again to restart. If the indicator flashes slowly, the battery may be dead.
What is the warranty of the Gysflash 6.24 PL?
The warranty is 2 years parts and labor from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects. It does not cover normal wear, damage related to transport, misuse, or environment.

*Lead battery equivalent: A lithium battery has better starting performance (CCA) than a lead battery. This is why some lithium battery manufacturers indicate the battery lead-acid equivalent (EqPb) that indicates the capacity of a lead-acid battery with the same starting performance. For instance, a LFP battery of 10 Ah will have the same starting performance as a lead-acid battery of around 30 Ah.
