The device has to be descaled regularly, otherwise the coffee taste will be affected and the scale deposits can damage the device.

When the noise during brewing increases, or the brewing time is longer, or the device switches off before the water tank is empty, then these are indications that descending is necessary. The frequency of descending depends on the water hardness and how often the device is used.

  • With soft water, descale at least every 3 month

  • With hard water, descale every month

If you do not know your water hardness please contact your water company.

Use a liquid descaler that is suitable for coffee machines and read the instructions thoroughly before use.
