6. Preparing for use

First pull out the plug, only then carry out any operation. Before starting the device, it is essential to check that the connections to the flexible hose and the pressure reducer are tight. After removing the device from the packaging, check that none of the items listed in the package contents are missing (see point 14). Before proceeding with installation, check that the components are not damaged. If any damage is found, do not start the device and report this to the seller. After assembly, affix the stickers supplied with the device to the device in accordance with the country code of the country of destination. Connection to a gas cylinder. The cylinder must not be placed in front of the heater! A flame from the heater directed directly at the cylinder may cause a gas explosion. The cylinder must always be positioned vertically.

1. Place the propane/butane gas cylinder on a flat, hard, level surface,

away from open flames and heat sources.

2. Position the heater so that there are no obstacles within a minimum

distance of3.5 m from the heater outlet, 2.5 m from the inlet (rear of the appliance), 2 m from the sideof the heater, and 2 metres from the top (Fig. E)

3. Connect the end of the flexible gas hose to the heater connectionand

secure it with a fixing nut (Fig. C). Connect the other end of the hose to the regulator. To ensure a secure connection, tighten the nuts with a 17 mm wrench, left-hand thread.

4. Screw the regulator supplied with the device to the cylinder valve and

remove the cylinder valve seal cover. After checking that the seal is present and in good condition, tighten the regulator fixing nut to ensure a tight connection (Fig. D).

5. When connecting the regulator to the cylinder, avoid twisting or

6. Unscrew the cylinder valve and check the connection for leaks.

Pressure reducer: Installation and operating conditions The single-stage high-pressure regulator for liquefied gas maintains the outlet pressure at a constant level – regardless of fluctuations in the source pressure within specified ranges. When used outdoors, the regulator must be adequately protected against rain and contamination. In case of any difficulties or problems, shut off the gas supply and contact your dealer (gas supplier) immediately. If a leak occurs or the escaping gas ignites, cover the valve or the connection between the valve and the regulator with a wet cloth and turn off the valve. Service Once the regulator has been correctly installed on the cylinder valve, the flow is obtained by turning the valve knob in the direction indicated by the arrow. To shut off the gas flow, turn the valve in the opposite direction. It is prohibited to leave the regulator cylinder unconnected to the receiver. Under normal conditions of use, it is recommended to replace the regulator within 10 years of the date of manufacture to ensure safe operation. If the regulator is installed in a series connection, ensure that the pressure of the gas passing through is within the pressure limit of this regulator and the subsequent regulators in the series. Also eliminate any pressure drops at the connections. For devices located near pressure vessels or cylinders but not directly connected to them, the following warning must be displayed: "This regulator must not be located below the outlet of the vessel or cylinder to ensure that gas does not escape as a result of accumulation in the regulator. All pipes and hoses used to connect the inlet of the regulator to the tank or cylinder should be positioned so that they slope downwards from the regulator to the tank.” Checking the tightness of the connection Never check connections for leaks using a flame. After assembly, check the connections with a leak tester. If no leak tester is available, check for leaks using commercially available foaming agents or soapy water. The appearance of bubbles, blisters or gas bubbles indicates a leak in the connection. Such a connection must be corrected and the test repeated. Do not use the heater until the leak has been repaired. Actions to take in the event of a gas leak: - immediately turn off the cylinder valve,9 - extinguish all sources of fire, - ventilate the area to disperse the gas concentration, - remove the cause of the leak, - after opening the valve, check for leaks again. After installation and leak testing, the device is ready for operation.

7. Connection to the mains

Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, ensure that the supply voltage corresponds to the value indicated on the rating plate. The power supply installation should comply with the essential requirements for electrical installations and meet the safety requirements for use. The parameters for the minimum cross-section of the supply cable and the nominal value of the fuse, depending on the power of the appliance, are given in the table below: Unit power [W] Minimum conductor cross-section [mm2] Minimum fuse type C [A] < 700 0,75

The installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. When using extension cables, ensure that the conductor cross-section is not smaller than required (see table). Arrange the electrical cable so that it is not at risk of being cut during operation. Do not use damaged extension cords. Periodically check the condition of the power supply cable. Do not pull on the power cable.

8. Switching on the device

Before starting up the unit, it is essential to carry out the steps described in the section ‘Preparing for operation’. Before switching on the heater, check the system for leaks. In the event of a power failure, immediately close the valve on the cylinder. Heating mode

1. The initial position of the heater power switch is ‘0’. Insert the plug

into the socket with the pin, making sure that the voltage in the socket matches the voltage specified on the rating plate. Turn on the power by switching the power switch to the ‘I’ position (Fig. A, 2).

2. Make sure that the fan blades are rotating. Press the safety valve

button (Fig. A, 3) with one hand and hold it for about 3 seconds, then, while holding the button pressed, press the spark ignition button (Fig. A,

1) with the other hand. After the gas ignites, hold the safety valve button

for about 20 seconds. If the fan does not rotate, do not switch on the heater.

3. Check the flame from a safe distance, observing the flame and taking

care not to stand in the line of hot air. A correct flame is blue, stable and covers the entire circumference of the combustion chamber. When using the heater, do not bend or twist the gas hose. Turning off the heater In order to switch off the heater correctly, proceed as follows:

1. Turn off the gas supply by closing the gas cylinder valve.

2. Leave the fan on for approx. 60 seconds to allow the heater to cool

the device from the mains,

5. Disconnect the device from the gas pipe,

6. Before moving the heater to its storage location, wait approx. 20-30

minutes for the device to cool down completely. Despite the housing having cooled down, it is not recommended to touch the device immediately after use. If the heater does not work, turn off the gas cylinder valve immediately.

9. Ongoing maintenance

All maintenance work must be carried out with the device disconnected from the mains and from the gas cylinder. Repairs may only be carried out by qualified specialists at locations specified by the manufacturer. The device must be cleaned and inspected periodically. During maintenance, clean the heater inlet and outlet, check the gas pipe between the regulator and the heater, and check for leaks at least once a month and after each cylinder replacement. If the hose is damaged or the expiry date has passed, it must be replaced at an authorised service centre. Technical review: At least once a year, it is recommended to have a technical inspection carried out by an authorised service centre, preferably before each heating season. Technical inspections may not be carried out by unauthorised persons. If the device is not used for a long period of time, close the valve on the cylinder and disconnect the device from the mains. Storage After the heating season, the device should be stored in a dry, dust-free place, protected from moisture at a temperature of 5-20°C. Before restarting the device, check the gas pipe for leaks and the electrical connection for proper functioning. If in doubt, contact the seller or manufacturer for technical advice.
