How to replace the door gasket of the Siemens GS33VVIE0N freezer?

To replace the door gasket, open the door and carefully remove the gasket from the groove starting at the corners. Insert the new gasket, heating it slightly with a hairdryer to facilitate installation. Make sure the groove is not damaged. Refer to section 4.1 of the manual.

How to change the door handle?

Use a Torx TX20 bit to remove the two caps and screws. Remove the handle and install the new one in reverse order. Always unplug the appliance first. See section 4.2.

How to replace the upper door hinge?

Place the appliance on its back, remove the hinge cover, unscrew the two screws with a Torx TX20 and remove the hinge. Assembly is done in reverse order. Beware of crushing risks. Section 4.4.

How to replace the upper LED lighting?

Unplug the appliance, remove the upper interior fixtures. Move the lighting to the left to disconnect the connection, then release the hooks and remove it from the front. Install the new one in reverse order. Section 4.10.

How to clean the freezer?

Unplug the appliance and empty it. Clean the interior with a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Do not use abrasive products. Dry thoroughly before plugging back in. Refer to the user manual.

What to do if the door does not close properly?

Check that the door gasket is not deformed or damaged. Adjust the hinges if necessary. The gasket can be heated and reshaped. If the problem persists, replace the gasket. See section 4.1.

How to defrost the freezer?

This model is equipped with the NoFrost function, it does not require manual defrosting. If ice forms, check that the door closes properly and that the gasket is intact.

How to adjust the temperature?

The temperature is adjusted via the control panel (depending on model). The recommended temperature is -18°C for storing frozen food. Refer to the user manual.

How to replace the freezer food container?

Open the door, pull the container completely out towards you, then lift it to remove it. Install the new container by pushing it until it stops. Section 4.8.

The warning levels consist of a symbol and a signal word. The signal word indicates the severity of the danger.

Prerequisite:
Door is open.

1. Release door gasket from the groove on right and left corner.

1. Pull out door gasket from groove.

Door gasket is removed.

	Thickness of new door gasket may deviate slightly from thickness of old door gasket. This will not affect closing behavior and long-term function.
	If your appliance has adjustable hinges or hinge attachments, you can optimize the closing behavior subsequently.
	Small side holes in door gasket are functional (required for ventilation). These are not production faults.

Repair

1. Check groove for gasket for damage.

1. If groove for gasket is it is damaged.
2. Contact customer service.
3. Slight deformation of door gasket is normal and does not affect its function. It is recommended to straighten door gasket before inserting it into appliance.

Heat door gasket with a hair dryer or hot water and manually reshape it.

1. Push corners of gasket at the top and bottom to the groove.

• Disconnect appliances from electrical supply at least 60 seconds before starting repairs.

Prerequisite:

Appliance is disconnected from power supply.
Appliance interior fittings are removed.

1. Place appliance on the back side.

2.1. Press upper hinge cover on both sides (1).
2. Move out upper hinge cover (2).
3. Remove upper hinge cover (3).

3. 1. Remove cable box cover (1).
2. Remove cable protection (2)
3. Disconnect electrical conne
4. Unscrew two screws (4).
5. Remove upper hinge (5).

Door upper hinge is removed.

Install in reverse order.

Required tools:

Torx Bit TX20 6,3 mm (1/4") [00340865]

Prerequisite:

Appliance is disconnected from power supply.
Appliance interior fittings are removed.
Appliance is placed on the back side.

1. Remove door.

2.1. Unscrew the screw (1).

1. Turn lower hinge out (2).
2. Remove lower hinge (3).

Lower hinge is removed.

Install in reverse order.

1. Pull out shelf frozen food container with ice maker (1).
2. Release hooks (2).
3. Remove ice maker (3).

Ice maker is removed.

Install in reverse order.
