Instruction Manual Thank you for choosing our product. We hope you enjoy using the device. Symbols in these Instructions for Use Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the machine:
This warns you of dangers to your health and indicates possible injury risks. CAUTION: This refers to possible hazards to the machine or other objects. NOTE: This highlights tips and information. General Safety Instructions Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- Do not use the unit in extremely hot, cold, dusty, or damp places.
- The unit is designed solely for private use and its intended purpose. This unit is not designed for commercial use.
- Always install batteries in the correct direction.
- Never cover the vent holes with objects, such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains etc.
- This appliance shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and that no object lled with liquids such as vases shall be placed on apparatus.
- Open sources of re, such as e.g. burning candles may not be placed onto the unit.
- Never open the housing of the device. Incorrect repairs can constitute a consider- able risk for the user. Do not use the device any more if it is damaged, but have it repaired by a specialist.
- If you intend not to use the device for a prolonged period, please remove the batteries.
These symbols may be found on the machine and are intended to indicate the following: The lightning symbol should advise the user of parts in the inside of the device which carry dangerously high voltage levels. The symbol with an exclamation mark should advise the user of important operation or maintenance instructions in the accompanying documentation. Devices bearing this symbol work with a “class 1 laser” for tracing the CD. The built-in safety switches should prevent the user being exposed to dangerous laser light, which is invisible to the human eye, when the CD compartment is opened. These safety switches must not be bypassed or altered; otherwise there is a risk of being exposed to the laser beam. Children and Frail Individuals

Do not allow small children to play with the foil. There is a danger of suffocation!

Inserting the Batteries (batteries not supplied)
1. Open the lid of the battery compartment on the bottom.
2. Insert 2 1.5 V R 6, AA type batteries. Match the polarities correctly (see the inside of
the battery compartment).
3. Close the battery compartment.
NOTE: A battery symbol in the display indicates that the batteries need to be replaced. CAUTION:
- Batteries can leak battery acid. If the device is out of use for a long period of time, remove the batteries.
- Different battery types or new and used batteries must not be used together.
- Batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Dispose of the used batteries at the relevant collection bin or at your dealer’s.CDP7001_IM_new 25.04.17
The batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the like. Danger of explosion! Mains Operation (power adaptor not supplied) It is possible to operate the device using the mains power unit.
1. Insert the plug of the power unit into a correctly installed wall socket.
2. Connect the CD player to the power unit by inserting the plug of the power unit into
the DC IN 4.5 V socket.
3. When using a power unit (DC 4.5 - 5 V / 1000 mA) ensure the correct polarity ac-
cording to the inscriptions on the CD player. General Operation Power Off Switch the device off during stop mode by pressing the button once. During playback, press the button twice to switch off the device. Volume The desired volume can be sent using the VOLUME regulator. PHONES Headphone Jack For headphone operation, use a headphone set with a 3.5 mm stereo jack plug plugged into the headphone jack. ESP Function The device features an anti-shock function. In case of problems, the device will be able to read the CD music les from the fast memory without any problems. Sampling mistakes will be corrected later in the fast memory. The activated function is indicated by the letters ESP in the display.
- When playing MP3 CDs, ESP is ashing while data is stored into the buffer memory. When data is retrieved from the buffer memory, the display shows the letters ESP permanently.
- When playing audio CDs, ESP ashes continuously.CDP7001_IM_new 25.04.17
1. Open the CD-compartment by pressing the button.
2. Insert an audio CD with the printed side facing upwards on to the central cone so
that the CD clicks into place. Then close the lid of the CD compartment.

4. To remove a CD, press the button, open the CD deck with the button and take
out the CD carefully. Always keep the CD deck cover closed. NOTE:
- If there is no CD, or if a CD has been inserted upside down, the display will show
- Playback of CDs produced by the user cannot be guaranteed due to the large variety of software and CD media available. Playing back Music in MP3 Format With this device it is possible to play back pieces of music in MP3 format. The device also supports all standard CD types: CD, CD-RW, CD-R. This device of is able to play MP3 CDs. Up to 200 tracks can be compressed and stored on these CDs. Your machine detects an MP3 CD automatically (the total num- ber of tracks and MP3s appears in the display). If you would like to play one of these CDs, proceed as described under “Playing CDs / MP3”. Please note: There are a number of different recording and compression methods, as well as quality differences between CDs and self-recorded CDs. Furthermore, the music industry does not adhere to xed standards (copy protection). For these reasons it is possible that in rare cases there are problems with the playback of CDs and MP3 CDs. Description of the Control Buttons (8) You can briey interrupt and resume playback using this button. The playing time that has elapsed ashes in the display. Pressing again continues playback. Press twice = “REP ALL“: The whole CD is played continuously. Press three times = “RND“: The word “RND“ ashes in the display. All tracks are played back in random order. Press four times = “INTRO“: The word “INTRO“ ashes in the display. All tracks are played for ten seconds. Press ve times = All the functions are reset. The normal play mode is resumed. Functions in Playback Mode of an MP3 CD: Press once = “REP 1“: The current track is repeated continuously. Press twice = “REP ALL“: The whole CD is played continuously. Press three times = “REP DIR“: The currently selected directory (the album) is repeated continuously.CDP7001_IM_new 25.04.17
Press four times = “RND“: The word “RND“ ashes in the display. All tracks are played back in random order. Press ve times = “INTRO“: The word “INTRO“ ashes in the display. All tracks are played for ten seconds. Press six times = All the functions are reset. The normal play mode is resumed. P (4)
- In stop mode for programming any order of tracks (see the section on “Programmed Play”).
- With the MP3 CD running: Keep this button pressed to skip to the next folder. (If there are folders on the CD.) Programmed Play
3. “001” (the track number) and “PROG” ashes on the display. Next to it you can see
/ buttons to select the desired track and then press the P button again. The display changes to memory slot “P-02“.
5. Select the next track with the / buttons and press the P button again.
Repeat the procedure until all the desired tracks are selected. Press the button. The playback starts. The device stops automatically once the entire sequence of programmed tracks is completed. The abbreviation “PROG” goes off and the programmed order of tracks is deleted from the memory. It is possible to combine the pre-programmed tracks with the MODE function. After you have programmed the tracks and started the machine, please press the M button up to three times so that the functions “REP 1“ and “REP ALL“ can be used as described in the section entitled “M (3)“.
