IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS . READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

Risk of burning! Do not touch the product's hot surfaces. Heat rises from the product during use. Caution! Hot surface!

1. This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
   Children shall not play with the product.
2. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised.
3. The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
4. Pull the power plug before filling iron with water or emptying.
5. The product must be used on a stable, resistant surface.
6. Even once you place the iron in its stand base, make sure that the surface upon which the iron is standing is stable and resistant.
7. Do not use the product if the power plug, power cord or the product itself is damaged or if the product has fallen or if liquid escapes from the product.
8. Keep the iron and its power cord out of reach of children less than 8 years of age when it is energized or cooling down.
9. A damaged power cord may only be replaced by the authorised service agent in order to avoid hazards.
10. Read this manual before first use thoroughly. It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the equipment.
11. Keep this manual for future reference and pass it on with the product.
12. Pay particular attention to the warnings on the product and in this manual.
13. Use the product only for its intended purpose. Improper use may lead to hazards.
14. In the event of improper use or wrong operation, we do not accept any liability for resulting damages.
15. The use of accessories and components not expressly recommended by the manufacturer may result in injuries or damages and voids the warranty.
16. Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.

1. Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
2. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
3. Do not under any circumstances attempt to repair the product yourself. For servicing and repairs, please consult an authorised service agent.
4. The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.
5. The power plug is used as the disconnect device. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.
6. Only unplug from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains.
7. Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
8. Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.
9. Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.

16. Place the product on a flat, sturdy and slip-resistant surface.
17. Protect this product from extreme heat and cold as well as from direct sunlight and dust.
18. In order to reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, do not expose the product to fire (fireplace, grill, candles, cigarettes and so on) or water (water drops, water splashes, vases, tubs, ponds and so on).
19. Warning! Do not use this product near water or heavy moisture; e.g. in a damp basement or beside a swimming pool or bathtub.
20. This product is not suitable for commercial use. It is designed for household use only.
21. Operate this product under supervision only. Even when leaving the room briefly, always pull the plug and put the device in its stand base.
22. When operating the product, high temperatures develop on the housing and soleplate which could lead to burns if you come into contact with them. Possible hazards could also occur from escaping steam or hot water. Do not point the steam toward people.
23. Use the handle only for handling.
24. Do not iron or freshen up garments with steam while they are being worn.
25. The cord must not come into contact with hot parts of the device and must not be wrapped around the product.
26. Do not put the product on hot surfaces (e.g. stove hot plates and so on) or near open gas flames.
27. Fill the water tank with water only.

INTENDED USE

This product is suitable for ironing garments and textiles only. Any other use may result in damage to product or injuries.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE

Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. It is recommended to keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please observe applicable legal provisions. Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal, contact your local waste management center.

Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately.

After unpacking, please refer to chapter Cleaning and care.

Remove any protective foils and stickers from the soleplate.

Note: In order to remove all residues before initial use, please pass the iron a few times over an old clean cloth.

FILLING WATER TANK

Fill the water tank with water to steam iron and before using the spray nozzle.

Fig. 4 Hold the iron diagonally and use the filling cup to fill the water tank.

Fig. 6 Close the cover cap of the fill opening until it audibly locks in.

Caution: Do not put any fragrances, vinegar, laundry starches, decalcifying agents, ironing aids or other chemicals in the water tank.

Note: If the tap water in your area is very hard, using equal parts of tap water and distilled water is recommended; but do not use distilled water only.

The spray knob can dampen the laundry in difficult spots. The spray nozzle can be used in dry and steam ironing, independent of the set temperature.

STEAM IRONING AND STEAM BOOST FUNCTION

Steam ironing and steam boost can only be used at temperatures between 00 and max. This temperature range is shown on the temperature control.

DRY IRONING

For dry ironing set the steam control knob to 0. The tank can be empty for dry ironing. Once water is in the tank, the steam boost can also be used at higher temperatures for dry ironing.

Caution:

• Never directly point the steam boost into the direction of people or animals!
  Always iron on a heat-resistant surface only.

AFTERUSE

Fig. 14 Unplug the power plug from the power outlet. Put the iron back onto its stand base. Let the product cool down.

This product switches automatically into standby mode, if it has not been used for a certain period of time. Once the product is moved again, it switches itself on again.

Horizontal position

If the product is sitting on its soleplate and is not moved for 30 seconds, it switches to standby automatically.

Vertical position

This product switches off after approx. 8 minutes, if it is on its stand base and is not in used.

Note: The operation/standby control lamp starts to flash.

CLEANING AND CARE

Put the steam control on the 0 Position.
Unplug from the power outlet and let the product cool down.
- Rinse off the calcium particles and other deposits from the soleplate with a damp cloth and some detergent.
Clean the upper part of the iron with a damp cloth.
Rinse out the water tank regularly with clear water and then empty it.
- Keep the product upright in a safe and dry place.

Note: In order to keep the soleplate smooth, it should not come into contact with metal objects.

Caution: Do not use any abrasive sponges, vinegar or other chemicals in order to clean the soleplate.

SELF CLEAN FUNCTION

The self clean function cleans the product of impurities. Cleaning with the self clean system should be carried out as follows before the first use, after longer periods of disuse or every 10 to 15 days:

Fig. 20 Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet. Disconnect from the power outlet as soon as the temperature control lamp turns off.

Fig. 22 Hold the device in a horizontal position over a sink. Press on self clean and continue pressing.
Fig. 23 Gently move the device back and forth until damp and hot water cease to escape.
Fig. 24 Shake out any remaining water out of the water fill opening. Once the soleplate has cooled down, it can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Caution: Do not put any vinegar or other decalcifying agents into the water tank.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If there are any problems during operation, please refer to the following table. If problems cannot be solved as indicated under Solution, please contact your manufacturer.

Problem Possible causes	Solution
Water droplets escape from the soleplate	After stopping steam ironing condensed water drops can be ejected when continuing steam ironing.	It is not a malfunction. To avoid droplets when continuing steam ironing, do not hold the soleplate over the garment until regular steam escapes.
	Ironing temperature is too low.	Steam ironing and steam jet function are only available at a higher temperature setting (OO and above). Adjust to a suitable temperature or switch off the steam function.
