• Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.

• Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.

• Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.

• Do not under any circumstances attempt to repair the product yourself. For servicing and repairs, please consult an authorised service agent.

• The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.

• The power plug is used as the disconnect device. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.

• Only unplug from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains.

• Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing devices/objects.

• Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.

• Unplug the product ... - when the product is not being used, - in case of malfunctions, - before attaching / detaching accessories and - before cleaning the product.

• If the power cord or the casing of the product is damaged or if the product is dropped, the product may not be used before it is examined by an authorised service agent.

• Place the product on a flat, sturdy and slip-resistant surface.

• Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.

• Warning! Do not use this product near water or heavy moisture; e.g. in a damp basement or beside a swimming pool or bathtub.

• Keep this product away from all heat sources like for example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing devices/objects.

• Protect this product from extreme heat and cold as well as from direct sunlight and dust.

• Do not remove the guard or insert any object during operation.

• Before cleaning, always let the product come to a complete stop and disconnect it from the mains.

• In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the product.

• Small children, children and older people should not be exposed to cold air currents for a long time.

• Keep product away from loose objects such as plants, curtains, etc.

Only use according to these instructions. Any other use can lead to damages to product or injuries. Before first time use

• Carefully take the product and its accessories out of the original packaging.

• Retain the original packaging in case you would like to store the product away or transport it at a later date. If you choose to dispose of the original packaging, then please do so according to the applicable legal regulations.

• Check the packaging contents for completeness and damages. Should the contents in the packaging not be complete or be damaged, do not use the product. Return it to your retail outlet immediately.

• After unpacking, please refer to chapter Cleaning and care Part list

Height adjustment screw

1. Apply the weight to the base.

2. Install the extension pole with the screws.

3. Pull up the extension pole and secure it by

tightening the thumb screw.

4. Remove thumb screw from the upper end

of the extension pole.

5. Attach the motor unit to the extension

6. Install and tighten the thumb screw to hold

the motor unit in place.

7. Install the rear guard with the handle

pointing up and fix it with the nut.

8. Slide the fan blade onto the motor shaft,

aligning and tightening the screw to the groove.

9. Hook the front guard onto the rear guard.

10. Install the screws and nut to lock the guard.

Close the clips. Caution The product must not be disassembled during operation, general care, cleaning and user maintenance. Caution Never connect the product to the mains when it is not completely assembled. KSF400M_A5_121205.indb 16 5/12/12 4:56 PM17

Cleaning and care Caution Before cleaning, always let the product come to a complete stop and disconnect it from the mains.

• Use a soft piece of cloth for cleaning. If the dirt or contamination proves hard to remove, use mild detergent.

• Do not use solvents or abrasives, metal utensils or hard brushes for cleaning.

• Do not immerse the fan in water or other liquid. Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan motor housing.

• Dry all parts thoroughly before storage.

• Store the product in a cool, dry and clean place, out of the reach of children and pets. Do not dispose of this appliance as unsorted municipal waste. Return it to a designated collection point for the recycling of WEEE. By doing so, you will help to conserve resources and protect the environment.
