How to turn the HyperX Cloud Stinger headset on and off?

Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn the headset on or off.

How to charge the headset?

Connect the included USB cable to the headset's charging port and a USB charger. Full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours. The LED indicator shows the charging status.

How to manually pair the headset with the wireless adapter?

Turn off the headset. Plug in the USB adapter. Using a pin, press the button on the back of the adapter for 3 seconds. Then, press and hold the headset's Power button for 10 seconds. The lights will flash and then stay solid when pairing is successful.

How to use the headset with a PS4?

Plug the wireless adapter into a USB port on the PS4. Turn on the headset. Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices, set the input/output device to USB Headset (HyperX Cloud Stinger Wireless) and select All Audio.

How to use the headset with a Nintendo Switch?

Plug the wireless adapter into a side USB port of the Switch dock. Turn on the headset. Set the console's USB volume to maximum, then adjust with the headset's volume wheel.

How to set up the headset on a PC?

Plug in the USB adapter. Turn on the headset. Right-click the sound icon and select Sounds. Under the Playback tab, set HyperX Cloud Stinger Wireless Speakers as the default device. Under Recording, set HyperX Cloud Stinger Wireless Headset Microphone as default.

How to mute the microphone?

Flip the microphone up to automatically mute it. Flip it down to unmute.

What do the charge level LEDs mean?

Solid green: 90-100% charge. Flashing green: 50-90%. Flashing orange: 25-50%. Flashing red: less than 25%.

What is the battery life?

Battery life is approximately 17 hours at 50% volume. Charging time is about 2.5 hours.

What to do if the headset produces no sound?

Headset Controls

Power button

Hold the power button for 3 seconds to power on/off the headset.

Volume wheel

Move the volume wheel towards the ^+ sign to increase the volume. Move the volume wheel towards the - sign to decrease the volume.

Microphone mute

Swivel the microphone upwards to mute the microphone.

Swivel the microphone downwards to unmute the microphone.

Headset Battery Indicator LED States

The headset battery indicator LED indicates the current state of the headset.

Headset Charging

When the headset is connected to a charger with the USB charge cable, the battery indicator LED will indicate the charge status. The headset will take approximately 2.5 hours to fully charge.

Using with PS4TM

1. Connect the wireless adapter to a front USB port on the PS4TM system.
2. Power on the headset.
3. When the wireless adapter status light is solid, the headset is now connected to the adapter.

To ensure the headset is configured with the most optimal settings on the PS4, follow the steps below:

1. From the PS4 main menu, go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices
2. Set Input Device to USB Headset (HyperX Cloud Stinger Wireless)
3. Set Output Device to USB Headset (HyperX Cloud Stinger Wireless)
4. Set Output to Headphones to All Audio
5. Set Volume Control (Headphones) to 100% volume

Using with Nintendo Switch™

1. Connect the wireless adapter to a side USB port on the Nintendo Switch dock.
2. Power on the headset.
3. When the wireless adapter status light is solid, the headset is now connected to the adapter.

You may set the USB audio volume on Switch to maximum by using the volume buttons on the Switch console, then adjust the volume with the headset volume wheel.

Using with PC

1. Connect the wireless adapter to a USB port on the PC.
2. Power on the headset.
3. When the wireless adapter status light is solid, the headset is now connected to the adapter.

To ensure the headset is configured correctly on the PC, follow the steps below:

1. Right-click on the sound icon on the system tray and select Sounds.

1. On the Playback tab, right-click on Speakers HyperX Cloud Stinger Wireless and select Set as Default Device.

2. On the Recording tab, right-click on Headset Microphone HyperX Cloud Stinger Wireless and select Set as Default Device.

Manually Pairing Headset and Wireless Adapter

The headset and wireless adapter are already paired together for first time use. If manual pairing is necessary, follow the steps below to pair the headset and wireless adapter together.

1. Make sure the headset is powered off.
2. Plug the USB wireless adapter into the PC or PS4TM system.
3. Use a small pin to press the small button on the back side of the USB wireless adapter for 3 seconds. The USB wireless adapter LED will be fast blinking.

1. Long press the headset power button for 10 seconds to enter the pairing mode. The headset battery indicator LED will be fast blinking.

1. When both the USB wireless adapter LED and the headset battery indicator LED are both solid, pairing is completed.
