Frequently Asked Questions - JDIF906E5 JUNO

What is the minimum distance between the hood and the hob?
The minimum distance is 50 cm for an electric cooker and 65 cm for a gas or mixed cooker. Always follow the installation instructions of your cooking appliance.
How to clean the grease filter?
The grease filter should be cleaned once a month. Use a non-aggressive detergent, by hand or in the dishwasher at low temperature and short cycle. Dishwashing may dull the filter without affecting its performance.
When should the charcoal filter be replaced?
It depends on the filter type. For type 20 LONG LIFE (washable), clean it every 2 months and replace the pad every 3 years. For type 15 (non-washable), replace it every 4 months maximum.
Can I use the hood without the filter in place?
No, never use the hood without the grille and filters properly installed. This could damage the appliance and pose a fire risk.
How to replace a halogen bulb?
First unplug the appliance. Make sure the lamps are cool. Use only halogen lamps 12V, 20W max, type G4, suitable for open lighting. Do not touch them with bare hands.
Can the hood operate in recirculation mode?
Yes, the hood can be used in extraction mode (external venting) or recirculation mode (internal recycling) with a charcoal filter.
What to do if the hood does not turn on?
First check that the plug is connected and the main switch is on. Check the fuse or circuit breaker. If the problem persists, contact a professional.
Is it dangerous to flambé food under the hood?
Yes, it is strictly forbidden to flambé food under the hood. Open flames can damage the filters and cause a fire.
How to clean the exterior of the hood?
Use a damp cloth with a neutral liquid detergent. Never use abrasive products or alcohol. Clean at least once a month.
Which suction speed to use for heavy cooking?
For a high concentration of vapors, use maximum speed (position 5). Turn on the hood 5 minutes before cooking and let it run for 15 minutes after.
