How to set the time manually?

Press and hold the SET button for 2 seconds. The time display flashes. Use ▲ and ▼ to select the 12/24h format, then press SET to confirm. Then set the time zone, hours, minutes, year, month, day and language. The change is automatically canceled after 7 seconds of inactivity.

How to activate or deactivate the alarm?

While the alarm is sounding, press the UP button to activate or deactivate it. To set the alarm time, press and hold the ALARM button for 2 seconds, then use ▲ and ▼ to set the hours and minutes, confirming with ALARM.

What should I do if the clock does not receive the DCF radio signal?

Place the clock near a window, away from any electrical appliances (TV, computer) and metal surfaces. Press the WAVE button to start a manual search. If reception fails after 7 minutes, it will automatically resume every hour. Avoid concrete basements.

How to switch between °C and °F display?

Press briefly the ? button (or the button indicated on the product). The temperature alternates between degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit.

How to use the snooze function?

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button. The snooze lasts 5 minutes, up to 7 times. An alarm symbol appears. To cancel, press any button.

How to change the display language for the days?

In manual setting mode (the SET button), after setting the day, the language display flashes. Use ▲ and ▼ to choose among: German, English, Danish, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch. Press SET to confirm.

What to do after pressing the RESET button?

After a reset, the clock returns to factory settings. Insert the batteries respecting polarity. The screen flashes, a beep sounds, then indoor temperature and humidity are displayed. The DCF signal search starts automatically after 7 minutes.

What type of batteries to use and how to replace them?

Use two non-rechargeable AA alkaline 1.5V batteries. Open the compartment on the back, insert the batteries observing polarity (+/-). Always replace both batteries at the same time. Remove used batteries promptly.

Why is the screen flashing and what to do?

Flashing may indicate a radio signal search (tower symbol flashing). This is normal during the first minutes after startup. If the flashing persists, check the clock's position (near a window) and move away interference sources.

How to set the time zone?

In manual setting mode (the SET button), after selecting the 12/24h format, the time zone flashes. Use ▲ and ▼ to add or subtract hours in 1-hour steps. Confirm with SET.

• Open the battery compartment on the rear side of the receiver and insert the batteries. Pay attention to observe the correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.
• When you insert the batteries, all the icons on the LCD display will briefly light up for 3 seconds, and you will hear a beep tone, and detect indoor temperature & humidity.
  The clock automatically starts the DCF signal search after 7 minutes. The radio mast icon starts to flash.

Manual time setting:

• Press and hold down the "SET" button for 2 seconds, the 24 display starts to flash. Now use "▲" and "▼" buttons to set the correct 12/24 time format.
• Press "SET" to confirm your setting, the time zone starts to flash. Now use "▲" and "▼" buttons to set the time deviation in hourly steps.
• Press "SET" to confirm your setting, the Hour display starts to flash. Now use "▲" and "▼" buttons to set the correct hour.
• Press "SET" to confirm your setting, the Minute display starts to flash. Now use "▲" and "▼" buttons to set the correct minute.
• Press "SET" to confirm your setting, the 2008 display starts to flash. Now use "▲" and "▼" buttons to set the correct year.
• Press "SET" to confirm your setting, the Month 1 displays starts to flash. Now use "▲" and "▼" buttons to set the correct month.
• Press "SET" to confirm your setting, the Date 1 start to flash. Now use "▲" and "▼" buttons to set a correct date.
• Press "SET" to confirm your setting, the language default starts to flash. Now use "▲" and "▼" buttons to set the desired language for the weekdays.
• Press "SET" to confirm your setting and to end the setting procedures, enter the clock mode.

Notes:

• To start manual time setting, DCF radio reception must be disabled. Press and hold the "Wave" button for 2 seconds and the radio symbol goes off.
  After 7 seconds without pressing any button, the clock switches automatically from Set Mode to Normal Time Mode.
  There are 7 languages of Weekday: English, Italian, French, Netherlands, Spanish, Danish, and German.

Setting the daily alarms:

This clock possesses one daily alarms. To view the set alarm times, press the "ALARM" button briefly, the display switches from the clock to Alarm. If you press the button again, the clock switches back to the normal time display. Proceed as follows to set the daily alarms:

Press and hold down the "ALARM" button for two seconds until alarm time and the flashing icon are displayed.
The hour display of the Alarm time starts to flash. Use the "▲" and "▼" buttons to set the required hour. Press "ALARM" button to confirm your setting
- The minute display of the Alarm time starts to flash. Use the “▲” and “▼” buttons to set the required minute. Press "ALARM" button to confirm your setting and to end the setting procedure.
To activate or deactivate the daily alarms, in the alarm mode, press "UP" button to switch alarm function.

Notes:

• After 7 seconds without pressing any button the clock switches automatically from setting mode to Normal clock mode.
  The alarm will sound for 2 minutes if you do not deactivate it by pressing any button. In this case the alarm will be repeated automatically after 24 hours.
• Rising alarm sound (crescendo, duration: 2 minutes) changes the volume 4 times whilst the alarm signal is heard.

Automatic SNOOZE function:

• To activate the automatic snooze function: While the alarm is sounding, press the "SNOOZE" button to activate the snooze function. When the snooze function is activated, the Alarm symbol appears in the display.
  This operation moves the alarm back by 5 minutes and the alarm will restart at this time.
  The snooze function can be interrupted by pressing any button and can be repeated up to seven times.

^ C / F temperature display:

• The temperature is displayed either in ^ C or ^ F . Briefly pressing the "▼" button allows you to switch between the individual models.

Reception of the Radio signal:

The clock automatically starts the DCF signal search after 7 minutes of any restart or changing of new fresh batteries. The radio mast icon starts to flash.
- At 1:00 am, the clock automatically carries out the synchronization procedure with the DCF signal to correct any deviations to the exact time. If this synchronization attempt is unsuccessful (the radio mast icon disappears from the display), the system will automatically attempt another synchronization at the next full one hour. This procedure is repeated automatically up to total 5 times.
- To start manual DCF signal reception, press the "WAVE" button. If no signals received within 7 minutes, then the DCF signal search stops (the radio mast icon disappears) and start again at the next full one hour.
During RC reception, to stop searching radio signal, Press and hold the "WAVE" button for two seconds.

Notes:

• A flashing radio mast icon indicates that the DCF signal reception has started
• A continuously displayed radio mast icon indicates that the DCF signal was received successfully
  We recommend a minimum distance of 2.5 meters to all sources of interference, such as televisions or computer monitors
• Radio reception is weaker in rooms with concrete walls (e.g.: in cellars) and in offices. In such extreme circumstances place the system close to the window.

Environmental reception effects

The clock obtains the accurate time with wireless technology. Same as all wireless devices, the reception is maybe affected by the following circumstances:

• long transmitting distance
• nearby mountains and valleys
• near freeway, railway, airports, high voltage cable etc.
• near construction site
  among tall buildings
• inside concrete buildings
• near electrical appliances (computers, TV's, etc) and metallic structures
• inside moving vehicles

Place the clock at a location with optimal signal, i.e. close to a window and away from metal surfaces or electrical appliances.

Precautions

• This main unit is intended to be used only indoors.
• Do not subject the unit to excessive force or shock.
• Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, dust or humidity.
• Do not immerse in water.
• Avoid contact with any corrosive materials.
• Do not dispose this unit in a fire as it may explode.
• Do not open the inner back case or tamper with any components of this unit.

Batteries safety warnings

• Use only alkaline batteries, not rechargeable batteries.
  Install batteries correctly by matching the polarities (+ / - )

• Always replace a complete set of batteries.

• Never mix used and new batteries.
