How to prepare coffee with the OCM 202 machine?

Fill the water tank with cold water between the MIN and MAX marks. Place a size 1x4 paper filter in the filter holder, add ground coffee. Close, place the glass carafe on the base. Plug in and press the on (I) button. Wait for the flow to finish then turn off with the off (O) button.

Can I put the glass carafe in the dishwasher?

No, the glass carafe is not dishwasher safe. Clean it by hand with hot water and mild detergent. Do not immerse it completely as water could seep between the walls.

How to descale the coffee machine?

Use a commercial descaler following the instructions. Pour the mixture into the tank, let it flow completely. Then rinse by running several cycles of fresh water without coffee. Also clean the glass carafe.

What to do if the coffee flows slowly or not at all?

Check that the tank is not empty and the filter is not clogged. Make sure the glass carafe is correctly positioned on the base. If the problem persists, descaling may be necessary.

Does the appliance turn off automatically after brewing?

No, shut-off is manual. You must press the power button (O) to turn off after flow. Then unplug.

Can I use a permanent filter instead of a paper filter?

The manual specifies the use of a size 1x4 paper filter (not included). The filter holder is designed for that. Using a permanent filter may not be suitable and could affect taste or flow.

What to do if the power cord is damaged?

The cord can only be replaced by an authorized after-sales service to avoid any danger. Do not use the appliance until the cord is repaired.

What is the required voltage for the appliance?

The appliance operates on a voltage of 220-240 V~ at 50 Hz. Check that your outlet matches before plugging in.

Can the machine be used just to heat water?

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE

For a perfect taste, run the product 2 or 3 times with cold, fresh water (without coffee). Each time the water has run through, switch off the product and let it cool down for 5 minutes.

Open the cover and fill the water tank with cold, fresh water.

CAUTION: Do not fill below MIN mark or beyond MAX mark, as shown on the water level indication.

Open the filter holder and insert the filter. Insert a paper filter (1x4, not included), and fill with the desired amount of ground coffee.

Close the filter holder and put the glass jug on the stand.

Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet.

Switch on the product (I). When all the water has run through, the brewing process is finished. Switch off the product (O).

Remove the glass jug from the stand.

Unplug the power plug from the power outlet and let the product cool down.

NOTE

Let the product rest and cool down before next operation.

DESCALING

• Descale your product regularly depending on your water's lime content and frequency of use.
• Use an off-the-shelf decalcifier and follow the provided instructions.
• Pour fresh water and the specified amount of decalcifier into the water tank.
• Start brewing and let the water run through completely. Empty the glass jug. If necessary, repeat this process.
• After descending, rinse the product several times by brewing water with no coffee to remove any decalcifier residue.
• Rinse the glass jug with warm water after descaling.

CLEANING AND CARE

• Warning! Unplug the product and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
• Warning! When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning mechanisms and tools may scratch the surface(s).
• Clean the product's exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly.
• Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch).
• Clean the glass jug and the filter holder after use with warm water and a little dishwashing detergent. Then dry.
  Clean the stand and the lid regularly with a slightly damp cloth and then dry.
