General Safety Instructions

- Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing.

- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.

- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.

- Never leave the appliance unsupervised. To protect children from the dangers posed by electrical appliances, make sure that the cable is hanging low and that children do not have access to the appliance.

- Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.

- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.

• Use only original spare parts.

- Pay careful attention to the following "Special Safety Instructions".

Special safety instructions

- Switch on the appliance only once the water bowl is filled with water and the lid is put correctly on the steam tank.

• Never use the appliance without water!

• Never fill the water bowl with liquids other than water!

- Never exceed the „MAX“ mark on the water bowl when filling, as the water in the water bowl may boil over and cause burning.

• Use only cold water when filling.

• Use the appliance only with the lid duly positioned.

• Warning! Hot steam may be released from the lid during use!

• Make sure that after the boiling procedure the lid is handled only with the handle provided for said purpose. Danger of burning!

- Do not touch the spike during or immediately use. The spike is hot! Danger of burning!

- Warning! Do not move or carry the appliance during use. The hot water in the appliance may spill out and cause injuries!

Unpacking of the appliance

Remove the contents from the box (appliance, transparent steam tank and steam tank lid). Before using for the first time clean the appliance as described in „Cleaning“.

Preparing the appliance for use

Make sure that the plug is not plugged in and that the ON/OFF switch is positioned on „O“. Place the appliance on a level and non-slip working surface.

1. Fill the water bowl up to the „MAX“ mark with water.
2. Place the steam tank on the water bowl. Pay attention to the four locking pins: they must engage in the slots in the steam tank. Press the steam tank firmly onto the locking pins.
3. Put the hot dogs into the steam tank. Do not overfill the steam tank as the appliance may not function properly and the hot dogs will not become hot.
4. Put the lid on the steam tank.
5. Insert the plug in a duly installed 230 V/50 Hz socket with earthing protection and shift the ON/OFF switch to „1“. The cooking starts after approximately 2 minutes.
6. The hot dogs are ready after 8 – 10 minutes.
7. Stick the hot dog sandwiches on the spike. Warning! The spike is hot! Danger of burning!
8. Remove the lid carefully from the steam tank. Take out the hot dogs from the steam tank with a fork or a hot dog pincer.
9. Pull the sandwiches off the spike. Insert the hot dogs in the hole in the sandwich.
10. Put other sandwiches on the spike and proceed as described above.

After use shift the ON/OFF switch back to „O“ and pull out the plug. Let the appliance cool down for about 20 minutes and then clean as described in „Cleaning“.

Cleaning

• Always pull out the plug and shift the ON/OFF switch to „O“ before cleaning.
- Let the appliance cool down for about 20 minutes if it was used before as the handling of the hot parts (spike, water bowl, steam tank) may cause burns.
- Clean the appliance with a moist cloth.
- Do not dip the appliance in water!
- The steam tank and the lid can be washed in a sink.
- Do not use abrasive detergents!
- Dry the entire appliance and all parts well after cleaning.

Decalcifying

The water bowl is covered with a non-stick coating. This coating avoids the calcifying of the water bowl. Should limestone deposits remain on the bottom of the bowl after cooking, wipe it off with a moist cloth or use a decalcifying substance containing citric acid. When using this substance, always follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Guarantee

The device supplied by our Company is covered by a 24 month guarantee starting on the date of purchase (receipt).

During the life of the guarantee any fault of the device or its accessories ascribable to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated free of charge by repairing or, at our discretion, by replacing it. The guarantee services do not entail an extension of the life of the guarantee nor do they give rise to any right to a new guarantee!

Proof of the guarantee is provided by the proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase no free replacement or repair will be carried out.

If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.

Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid!

The guarantee lapses in case of unauthorized tampering.

After the expiry of the guarantee

After the expiry of the guarantee repairs can be carried by the competent dealer or repair service against the payment of the ensuing costs.

Especially safety instructions

1. This appliance is not suitable for use by persons (including children) who have limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or by persons who have a lack of experience and/or lack of knowledge unless they are supervised by a person in charge for their security or receive instructions by them how to use the appliance."
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Protect our environment: do not dispose of electrical equipment in the domestic waste.

Please return any electrical equipment that you will no longer use to the collection points provided for their disposal.

This helps avoid the potential effects of incorrect disposal on the environment and human health.
