What to do if the pump does not start?

First check the mains voltage. Make sure the float switch is in the high position (switch-on trigger). If the float is stuck, place it higher. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.

The pump runs but does not discharge water, why?

This may be due to a clogged inlet filter or a bent discharge hose. Clean the filter with a water jet and straighten the hose. Also check that the non-return valve is not blocked.

How to adjust the float switch?

The float switch can be moved in its holder. For optimal adjustment, place the pump in a water container and manually test the float: it should switch easily. The distance between the float head and the cable support must be at least 10 cm.

The pump does not stop automatically, what to do?

Make sure the float switch can lower freely. Check that the pump is well placed on the bottom of the tank and that the float is not obstructed by obstacles. If necessary, adjust the float position.

The water flow is insufficient, what is the cause?

A dirty inlet filter reduces flow: clean it. Products mixed with water (grease, impurities) can also reduce power. Clean the pump and replace wear parts if necessary. Use a hose of sufficient diameter.

The pump switches off after a short operating time, why?

The motor protection may trip if the water is too dirty (e.g., mud, fibers) or if the water temperature exceeds 35°C. Disconnect the pump, clean the housing and tank, and check the water temperature.

What regular maintenance is required?

After each use, rinse the pump with clean water. Every 3 months, check the float switch operation, clean the bottom of the tank and deposits on the float. For fixed installation, perform starting tests every 3 months.

Can I use the pump continuously?

No, the pump is not designed for continuous operation (e.g., circulation pump). Permanent use would reduce its lifespan. Use it only for drainage or temporary evacuation tasks.

How to winterize the pump?

Store the pump in a dry and frost-free place (temperature between 5 and 30°C). Protect it from frost by draining all water from the pump and hoses. Keep it in its original packaging if possible.

What to do if the power cable is damaged?

The cable can only be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service, or a similarly qualified person to avoid any hazard. Do not use the pump with a damaged cable.

The pump must be powered via an earth-leakage circuit breaker (RCD) with a rated fault current of no more than 30 mA (according to VDE 0100 Part 702 and 738).

The equipment is not designed for use in swimming pools and paddling pools of any kind or other bodies of water in which people or animals may be present during operation. It is prohibited to operate the equipment if a person or animal is in the danger area. Ask your electrician!

Before you put the equipment into operation, arrange for a specialist to check that the earthing, protective multiple earthing, or residual-current operated circuit-breaker circuit comply with the safety regulations of the power supply company and work correctly. The electrical plug-in connections must be protected from wet conditions. - If there is a risk of flooding, place the plug-in connections in an area that is safe from flooding. - Strictly avoid pumping aggressive liquids and abrasive substances. - Protect the equipment from frost. - Protect the equipment from dry running.

Take suitable measures to keep the equipment out of the reach of children.

3. Proper use

The equipment you have purchased is designed to pump water with a maximum temperature of 35°C. This equipment must never be used for other liquids, especially not for engine fuels, cleaning agents and other chemically-based products!

The equipment can be used wherever you want to move water, e.g. in the house, in the garden, and for many other applications. It must not be used to operate swimming pools!

If you want to use the equipment in bodies of water with a natural, muddy bottom, place the equipment in a slightly elevated position, e.g. on bricks.

The equipment is not designed for continuous operation, e.g. as a circulating pump in a pond. In this case the equipment's anticipated life will be greatly shortened because the equipment was not designed for continuous loading.

The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as a result of this.

Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.

The water may be contaminated by escaping lubricating oil/lubricant.

5. Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply, make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to the mains data.

5.1 Installation

The equipment can be installed either:

Stationary with a rigid pipe line

or

Stationary with a flexible hose line

Before you use the pump, clarify any possible special conditions which need to be fulfilled for the installation!

For example, additional safety measures may be needed if damage to property could result from a power failure, soiling, or a defective gasket.

Examples of such safety measures:

Pumps running in parallel on a separately protected power circuit, moisture sensors for switching off the pumps, and similar safety arrangements. Be sure to consult a professional plumber if you have any doubt.

The maximum pumping rate is possible only with the largest possible line diameter; if smaller hoses or pipes are connected, the pumping rate will be reduced. If the universal hose connection (Fig. 1/ Item 4) is used, it should be shortened (as shown in Fig. 2) to the connection actually used in order not to reduce the pumping rate unnecessarily. Flexible hoses must be fastened to the universal hose connection with a hose clip (not included in the scope of supply).

The maximum flow rate is reduced by the nonreturn valve (5) on the hose connection. Flexible hose lines must be fastened to the hose adapter with a hose clip (not included in the scope of supply).

When installing, never hang the equipment by the discharge line or by the power cable. The equipment must be hung up with the provided carry handle or it must rest on the bottom of the shaft. To ensure that the equipment works properly, the bottom of the shaft always must be free of sludge and other accumulations of dirt. If the water level is too low, the sludge in the shaft can quickly dry out and hinder the equipment from starting. It is necessary therefore to check the equipment regularly (carry out trial start-ups).

The pump shaft should be large enough.

5.2 Mains connection Danger!

The equipment you have purchased comes with an earthing-pin plug. The equipment is designed for connection to a socket outlet with earthing contact for 230 V ~ 50 Hz. Make sure that the socket-outlet is sufficiently fused (at least 6 A) and in good working order. Insert the power plug in the socket-outlet and the equipment is ready for operation.

To rule out danger, this work must be left strictly to a specialist electrician or Customer Service.

6. Operation

You can put the equipment into operation after you have thoroughly read the installation and operating instructions. Pay attention to the following points:

Make sure that the equipment is set up securely. - Check that the discharge line is fitted correctly. Make sure that the electrical connection is 230 V ~ 50 Hz - Check that the electrical socket-outlet is in good working order. - Make sure that no moisture or water can ever reach the power connection. - Make sure that the equipment does not run dry.

• To switch off the equipment, pull the power plug out of the socket outlet.

Setting the On/Off switching point:

The ON/OFF switching point of the floating switch can be adjusted by shifting the floating switch in the floating switch notched holder (Fig. 4/Item 6).

• The floating switch must be fitted so that the switching point height: ON and the switch point height: OFF can be reached easily and with little force. Check this by placing the equipment in a container filled with water and carefully raising and lowering the floating switch with your hand. You can then see whether the equipment switches on and off.
• Make sure that the distance between the floating switch head and the cable holder is not too smaller than 10cm . If the distance is too small, there is no guarantee that the equipment will work correctly.
• When adjusting the floating switch, make sure that the floating switch does not touch the bottom before the equipment is switched off. Important! Risk of dry running.

Manual mode/shallow water:

To operate manually or in shallow water, fit the float switch as shown in Fig. 1. The equipment will then run continuously. In shallow suction mode, water can be sucked up down to a level of 1mm . To prevent dry running, this operating mode is allowed only under supervision. The equipment must be switched off (pull out the power plug) as soon as no more water is emitted from the discharge line.

Please note:

For the equipment to suck up water in shallow suction mode there must be a minimum depth of 8 mm of water.

7. Replacing the power cable

Danger!

If the power cable for this equipment is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-sales service or similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.

8. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

• Unplug the power plug prior to any maintenance work.
• For mobile applications, the equipment should be cleaned with clear water after every usage.
• For stationary installation, it is recommended that you check the floating switch for proper operation every three months. Use a water jet to remove any lint or fibrous particles that may have become trapped in the housing.
• Remove sludge from the shaft bottom and clean the shaft walls every 3 months.
• Use clear water to remove deposits from the floating switch.

8.1 Cleaning the paddle wheel

If a lot of deposits collect in the housing, the bottom part of the equipment must be dismantled as follows:

1. Disconnect the intake cage from the housing.
2. Clean the paddle wheel with clear water. Important! Do not put down or rest the equipment on the paddle wheel!
3. Assemble in reverse order.

8.2 Maintenance

There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.

9. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equipment and its accessories are made of various types of material, such as metal and plastic. Never place defective equipment in your household refuse. The equipment should be taken to a suitable collection center for proper disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of such a collection point, you should ask in your local council offices.

10. Storage

Store the equipment and accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30

°C. Store the electric tool in its original packaging.

5. Before putting into operation

Before switching on, check that the data on the rating plate matches the mains data.

5.1 Installation

The device is installed:

If, for example, a power failure, dirt, or a defective seal could cause material damage, additional protective measures should be taken.

Protective measures include, for example:

Pumps operating in parallel on a separately protected circuit, moisture sensors for shutdown, and similar safety devices. In case of doubt, be sure to consult a sanitation expert.

The maximum flow rate can only be achieved with the largest possible pipe diameter; when connecting smaller hoses or pipes, the flow rate is reduced. If you use a universal hose connector (figure 1/pos. 4), you should shorten it to the fitting used, as shown in figure 2, so that the flow rate is not unnecessarily reduced. Flexible hoses are attached with a hose clamp (not included in delivery) to the universal hose connector.

During installation, care must be taken that the device is never mounted so that it stretches the pressure hose or power cable. The device must be hung on the handle provided for this purpose or placed in the pit. To guarantee flawless operation, the pit must not contain mud or similar dirt. If the water level is too low, mud in the pit can quickly dry out and prevent the pump from working. Therefore, regular inspection of the device is necessary (try to start the device).

The device can also be used whenever water needs to be pumped, for example, in the household, in the garden, and in many other cases. It is forbidden to use the device for swimming pools!

When using the device in natural water bodies, it is necessary to install the device on a small elevation, for example, on a stone.

The device is not intended for continuous use, for example as a circulation pump in a pond. Such use will significantly shorten the service life of the device, as its construction is not designed for continuous load. The device may be used

Prepare the purchase receipt or other proof of purchase of your new device. Warranty services for devices that are examined without corresponding proof or without the warranty card are excluded due to lack of data for identifying such devices. If the warranty claim is accepted for the device malfunction, you will promptly receive a repaired or new device.

It goes without saying that we can also fix malfunctions of the device at your expense that are not covered by warranty services or after the warranty period has expired. For this, you must send the device to the address of the service department.

Regarding rapidly wearing, consumable parts and missing components, we draw attention to the limitations of this warranty according to the information on service maintenance in this operating manual.
