How to turn the Beurer HC2R hair dryer on and off?

To turn on, push the ON/OFF switch up to position I. To turn off, push it down to position 0. Then unplug the power cord from the outlet.

How to adjust the air temperature?

Use the hot air button to select 3 levels: one red LED = warm air, two red LEDs = hot air, three red LEDs = extremely hot air.

How to use the cool air function?

Press and hold the cool air button while using. The hot air indicator turns off and cool air is emitted.

How to clean the hair dryer filter?

Unplug the device and let it cool down. Remove the filter horizontally, then take out the internal filter from the external filter using the metal handle. Clean the external filter with a slightly damp cloth, and the internal filter with a soft damp cloth. Let dry completely before reassembling.

When should the filter be cleaned?

A visual indicator alerts you: after 1,500 minutes of operation, the three fan indicator LEDs blink six times to signal that cleaning is needed.

Can I use the hair dryer in the bathroom?

Yes, but with caution. Do not use it near a bathtub, shower, or container filled with water. Unplug it after each use and do not store it near water.

What to do if the hair dryer falls into water?

Do not put your hands in the water. First, turn off the circuit breaker, then unplug the power cord. Do not use the device again and have it checked by a professional.

• The device must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed and in the manner specified in these instructions for use.
• This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills, or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely, and have understood the risks involved.
• Children must not play with the device.

• Danger of suffocation! Keep packaging materials away from children.

• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.

• Do not use this device near bathtubs, shower trays or other containers which have water in them.

• Risk of electric shock! Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! If the device falls into water, do not reach into the water! First switch off the fuse at the fuse box and then pull the mains plug out of the socket.

• If using the hair dryer in the bathroom, unplug it after use – this is because proximity to water constitutes a danger even when the hair dryer is switched off.
• As an additional safety measure, the installation in the bathroom circuit of a residual current device (FI/RCD) with a rated tripping current not exceeding 30mA is recommended. Ask your installer for advice.

• This device is not designed for use in commercial areas.

• If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a similarly qualified person to avoid any risk. Do not use the device if it is damaged or not functioning correctly.

• Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable 9! Do not wrap the mains cable 9 around the hair dryer!

5. USAGE

1. Wash hair as usual and then dry with a towel. Hairsprays contain flammable substances, so do not use hairspray while using the device.
2. Stand on a dry, non-conductive surface and make sure your hands are dry.
3. To switch on the hair dryer, slide the ON/OFF switch up to setting 1. The hair dryer displays the warm air and blower settings that were last used.
4. Use the warm air button 2 to set the desired temperature setting. The warm air indicator 3 shows the current setting in colour.

One red LED = warm air

Two red LEDs = very warm air

Three red LEDs = hot air

Alternatively, press and hold the cold air button to use the cold air setting. The warm air indicator goes out.

1. Use the blower button 4 to set the desired setting. The blower indicator 5 shows the current setting in colour.

One white LED = low blower setting

Two white LEDs = medium blower setting

Three white LEDs = high blower setting

1. Dry and/or style your hair as you wish.
2. Switch off the hair dryer after each use or upon interruption. To switch off the hair dryer, slide the ON/OFF switch 1 down to setting 0. The warm air indicator 3 and the blower indicator 5 go out.
3. Remove the mains plug from the socket.
4. Allow the hair dryer to cool completely on a fireproof surface.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

As soon as the hair dryer has reached 1,500 minutes of use, the three LEDs of the blower indicator 5 flash simultaneously. This indicates that you need to clean the hair dryer. The LEDs of the blower indicator 5 flash six times and then return to normal operation.

1. Disconnect the mains plug and leave the device to cool.
2. Pull the filter 7 off horizontally (see figure A on inside cover).
3. Remove the inner filter from the outer filter using the metal handle (see figure B). The accumulated dust and lint can be removed by hand. The outer filter can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Dry the clean outer filter completely with a cloth.
4. Clean the inner filter with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Then allow the inner filter to dry completely.
5. Put the inner filter back in the outer filter.
6. Place the filter 7 back on the device horizontally until it clicks into place.

7. DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a suitable

local collection or recycling point in your country. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal. You can

obtain the location of collection points for old devices from the local or municipal authorities, local waste disposal companies or your retailer, for example.
