1. Included in delivery

The hair dryer is suitable for drying and professional styling of your hair. The hair dryer can be tailored to your individual needs using the two air blower settings and the three heat settings. The additional lockable cold air setting adds improved hold to your style. You can use the narrow professional nozzle to style your hair just the way you want it, and the diu- ser attachment lends your hair additional volume. The protection function creates the right balance between heat and air flow. This ensures the hair is protected against drying out and preserves its dazzling colour. The built-in ion technology uses negatively charged ions to neutralise hair and, thanks to the 2-level intensity, can be individually adjusted to any hair type. Static charge in the hair is prevented. The automatic switch-o protects the device against overheating. The removable filter makes it easier to remove flu, dust and hair that has been sucked in. The device is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or careless use.14

• For the purpose for which it was developed and in the manner specified in these instructions for use. Any improper use can be dangerous!

6. Warnings and safety notes

Danger To avoid damage to health, we strongly advise against using the device in the fol- lowing situations:

• Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! Risk of electric shock!

• If the device should fall into water despite following all safety precautions, immediately pull the mains plug from the socket! Do not reach into the water! Risk of electric shock!

• Have the device checked by an authorised specialist workshop before using it again! Danger to life due to electric shock!

• Keep metal objects (such as jewellery) away from the air intake to prevent them from being sucked in – risk of electric shock!

• Do not insert any objects into the casing! Risk of electric shock!

• If the device has been dropped or has suered any other damage, it must no longer be used. Risk of electric shock and risk of injury!

• If there is visible damage to the device, mains cable/plug or accessories. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address. Risk of electric shock!

• Do not use extension cables in the bathroom to ensure the mains plug can be accessed quickly in an emergency.

• Keep packaging material away from children – risk of suocation! Warning To avoid damage to health, please note the following:

• Do not cover the hair dryer, air blower or air inlet – risk of fire!

• The removable filter [3], the air intake and the air outlet [2] of the hair dryer must be free of flu, dust and hair that has been sucked in – risk of fire!

• Do not use the device on synthetic hair – risk of fire!

• Ensure that no highly flammable liquids are located near the device. Risk of fire! Notes

• Only pull the cable from the socket by the mains plug.

• Remove all packaging material before using the device.

• Connect the device only to a socket featuring the voltage stated on the type plate.

• Do not use any additional parts that are not recommended by the manufacturer or oered as accessories.

• Under no circumstances should you open or repair the device yourself, as faultless functionality can no longer be guaranteed thereafter. Failure to comply will result in voiding of the warranty.

• In the event of a fault or damage, have the device repaired by a certified specialist workshop.

• Never leave the device unattended during use.

• Do not use the device outside.16 17

• If you pass on the device to someone else, make sure to also pass on these instructions for use.

• Position yourself on a dry, non-conductive surface. Risk of electric shock!

• Make sure that your hands are dry! There is a risk of electric shock!

• The volume diuser [1], the professional nozzle [11] and the hair dryer may become very hot de

pending on the switch setting and period of use – risk of burns and fire!

• Do not touch the volume diuser [1] and the professional nozzle [11] during use, as they will heat up. Risk of fire and burns!

• Place the hair dryer on non-flammable surfaces only. Risk of fire!

• Ensure that no hair can be directly sucked into the device. Risk of fire! Important

• Do not jam the mains cable [10] in drawers or doors, for example.

• Untangle the mains cable [10] if it is twisted.

• Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable [10] and do not pull or route it over/on sharp, pointed objects or hot surfaces. Damaged or tangled mains cables increase the risk of electric shock! Note A slight odour initially develops after switching on the device for the first time. This is normal and not harmful to your health. Allow the device to run for three to five minutes. After that you can use the device as normal. Drying the hair > Switch on the travel hair dryer via the slide switch [6.1]: 1 Strong airflow 2 Gentle airflow > Select the heat level: 1 High temperature 2 Medium temperature 3 Low temperature > Select your ion intensity 0 No ions for particularly thin hair 1 Low level of ions for fine hair 2 High level of ions for relatively thick and frizzy hair > Dry and/or style your hair as you wish.18 After each use/interruption, always set the hair dryer slide switch [6.1] to o (position 0). Selecting the function > If the unit becomes overheated, it switches o automatically for your safety. > Remove the plug from the socket and let the unit cool down. > Before switching the unit on again, check the air outlet [2] and the filter [3] for blockage (e.g. sucked-in lint, dust, hair). Note For best results with the ion technology, use the hair dryer without an attachment. Select function The hair dryer has 2 functions that you can select via the toggle switch [8] and the cold button [4]: Function Description Protect- funktion Protection function: For drying hair gently. The temperature is limited to about 55 to 62 °C and held constant. The function can be switched on using the toggle switch [8] (level 1). Cold air: The cold level oers the perfect styling finish. It cools down your hair and holds it in place for a better result. The cold setting can be activated at any time by pressing the button [4]. Once you press the button again, the device returns to the previously selected heat setting. Accessories The following attachments are provided:

• Volume diuser [1]: Gives the hairstyle volume and vitality.

• Professional nozzle [11]: Enables targeted and precise styling and shaping. After use

• Remove the plug from the socket after each use.

• Let the unit cool down.

• Do not wind the mains cable around the unit!

• Store the unit in a dry place that is out of reach of children.

• The unit can be hung on a hook by the hanging eyelet [9].18 19

8. Cleaning and maintenance

• Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning.

• Ensure that no water enters the inside of the unit!

• Do not clean it with any highly flammable liquids! Note

• Your unit is maintenance-free.

• Protect the unit from dust, dirt and moisture.

• Do not wash the unit in a dishwasher!

• Do not use any strong, sharp, abrasive, corrosive cleaning agents or hard brushes!

• The housing of the hair dryer and the accessories can be cleaned with a soft cloth that has been moistened with warm water.

• Before each use, use a brush to free the air outlet [2] and the filter [3] of lint, dust and hair that has been sucked in.

In the interest of protecting the environment, the unit must not be thrown out with the household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Please dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any queries, please contact the appropriate local authorities.20 You can find out about collection points for your old units e.g. from the local municipal government, the local waste disposal company or your dealer.

11. Warranty / Service

Beurer GmbH,Söflinger Straße 218, 89077 Ulm, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “Beurer”) provides a warranty for this product, subject to the requirements below and to the extent described as follows. The warranty conditions below shall not aect the seller’s statutory warranty obligations which ensue from the sales agreement with the buyer. The warranty shall apply without prejudice to any mandatory statutory provisions on liability. Beurer guarantees the perfect functionality and completeness of this product. The worldwide warranty period is 3 years, commencing from the purchase of the new, unused product from the seller. The warranty only applies to products purchased by the buyer as a consumer and used exclusively for personal purposes in the context of domestic use. German law shall apply. During the warranty period, should this product prove to be incomplete or defective in functionality in accordance with the following provisions, Beurer shall carry out a repair or a replacement delivery free of charge, in accordance with these warranty conditions. If the buyer wishes to make a warranty claim, they should approach their local retailer in the first instance: see the attached “International Service” list of service addresses. The buyer will then receive further information about the processing of the warranty claim, e.g. whe- re they can send the product and what documentation is required. A warranty claim shall only be considered if the buyer can provide Beurer, or an authorised Beurer partner, with – a copy of the invoice/purchase receipt, and – the original product. The following are explicitly excluded from this warranty: – deterioration due to normal use or consumption of the product; – accessories supplied with this product which are worn out or used up through proper use (e.g. batteries, rechargeable batteries, cus, seals, electrodes, light sources, attachments and nebuli- ser accessories); – products that are used, cleaned, stored or maintained improperly and/or contrary to the provisi- ons of the instructions for use, as well as products that have been opened, repaired or modified by the buyer or by a service centre not authorised by Beurer;20 21 – damage that arises during transport between manufacturer and customer, or between service centre and customer; – products purchased as seconds or as used goods; – consequential damage arising from a fault in this product (however, in this case, claims may exist arising from product liability or other compulsory statutory liability provisions).
