How to use the quick mixer blender?

Place the quick mixer blender in the rear opening until it locks. Select the desired speed. To blend, immerse the foot in the food and move it gently. Caution: do not immerse the main unit and do not blend overly hot food (max 70°C).

How to detach the accessories?

Set the switch to 0, unplug the appliance, then press the ejection button to release the accessory. For accessories in the rear opening, use the unlock buttons.

Can I blend hot food?

Yes, but let food cool to 70°C or less before blending to avoid burns and damage to the appliance. Blend with caution.

What is the maximum capacity for kneading?

The appliance can handle up to 500 g of flour plus additional ingredients (liquids, etc.). Do not exceed this amount.

How to clean the whisks and hooks?

After use, wash the whisks and hooks immediately with soapy water or in the dishwasher. Do not let them soak. The main unit must not be immersed.

The appliance does not start, what should I do?

Check that the switch is in a position other than 0. Ensure the rear opening is closed (otherwise speeds 1-5 are inoperative). Check the power connection. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

Can I use the mixing bowl in the microwave?

No, the plastic mixing bowl is not suitable for microwave or conventional ovens. It is designed only for use with the hand mixer.

How to store the power cord?

Never wrap the cord around the appliance. Store it loosely coiled, without tightening. Be careful not to bend it excessively.

What types of food can be prepared with the mini chopper?

The mini chopper (depending on model) is ideal for finely chopping onions, garlic, herbs, and for preparing small quantities. Do not use it for very hard foods or without adding liquid.

• Never immerse the appliance or the power cord in water or clean in the dishwasher.
• Never immerse the base unit in the food to be blended, only the quick-mixing rod.
• Never operate a damaged appliance.

• Never let the power cord come into contact with hot parts or be dragged over sharp edges.
• Never place the appliance on or near hot surfaces.
  After switching off, wait until the drive has come to a complete standstill.
• Keep hands, hair, clothing and utensils away from rotating parts.
• Never leave the appliance switched on if the power supply is interrupted. The appliance will automatically start up again following the interruption in the power supply.
• Only attach and remove accessories once the drive has stopped and the appliance has been unplugged.
• Never touch the edges of the blades with bare hands.
  Process hot food carefully.
• Leave boiling food to cool down to at least 70^ C before processing.
  Follow the cleaning instructions.
• Clean surfaces which come in contact with food before each use.

Avoiding material damage

Do not operate the appliance at no-load.
- Never use the blender jug in the microwave or oven.

Ejector button

For removing the tools.

Note: The ejector button can only be actuated if the switch is position 0.

Self-closing rear aperture

for inserting accessories, e.g. high-speed hand blender.

Only open the lock when the switch is in position 0.

Release buttons

For removing the accessories from the rear aperture.

Tools

Beating whisks

The beating whisks are suitable for the following applications:

• beat egg whites or cream
  make light dough such as e.g. sponge mixture, cake mixture, pancake batter Recommendations for optimum results:
  Use cream with a fat content of at least 30% and when at 4 - 8^
  Whip cream or beat egg whites in a wide jug

Note: To make mayonnaise, use the high-speed hand blender.

Kneading hooks

The kneading hook is suitable for making different doughs like yeast dough, bread dough, pizza, strudel or shortcrust pastry.

Note: The maximum processing quantity is 500 g flour and ingredients.

Processing food with the tools

Notes

• Only use tools of the same type in pairs.
  Note the shape of the plastic parts on the tools to avoid mixing up the tools!
• Insert the tools one after the other to prevent them from becoming entangled.

High-speed hand blender

The high-speed hand blender is not suitable for preparing purees consisting solely of potatoes or foods with a similar consistency.

The high-speed hand blender is suitable for the following applications:

• Mixing drinks
  Making pancake batter, mayonnaise, sauces and baby food
• Pureeing cooked food, e.g. fruit, vegetables, soup

Using the high-speed hand blender

Notes

Solid foods should always be cut up and cooked until soft before processing, e.g. apples, potatoes or meat.
Use the universal cutter for cutting up raw food without adding liquid, e.g. onions, garlic or herbs.
Before processing the food in a pan, take the pan off the heat.

Making mayonnaise

Notes

• When using the high-speed hand blender, mayonnaise can only be made with whole eggs (egg white and egg yolk).
• When making mayonnaise, air underneath the high-speed hand blender prevents the ingredients from blending together well. To achieve an optimum result, check that the air can escape before you start mixing.
