How to install the carrycot in the car?

Place the carrycot perpendicular to the road on the rear seat. Pass the seat belt (2 or 3 points) through the supplied car kit and tighten firmly. Move the front seats as far forward as possible so that the child does not touch them.

Up to what weight can the child use the carrycot?

The maximum child weight is 9 kg (group 0). The carrycot is suitable for babies who cannot sit up alone, roll over or sit up.

Can I wash the cover?

Yes, the cover is washable. Check the care label sewn on the fabric for washing instructions. Do not iron.

What to do in case of a car accident?

The carrycot must be imperatively replaced after an accident, even minor. Impacts may damage the structure and compromise safety.

Can I use the carrycot without the car safety kit?

No, the car safety kit is mandatory to ensure the car bed function. It can only be used with the designated carrycot.

How to adjust the retention harness?

Use the harness adjustment button (I) to adjust the straps. After placing the child, pull the strap to tighten the harness properly. Make sure it is not twisted.

Can the carrycot be used as a bed at home?

Yes, you can use the carrycot as an occasional bed on a flat, horizontal, firm and dry surface. Never leave the child unattended.

Is the hood removable?

The hood (A) is removable. It can be removed for cleaning or storage. Always use it to protect the child from sun or rain.

Which accessories are compatible with the Nova carrycot?

Only accessories sold and approved by Bébé Confort are compatible, such as the rain cover or mosquito net. Others may be dangerous.

Where to find the serial number of the carrycot?

The serial number is usually found on the identification label attached to the carrycot (under the mattress or near the handle). Have it handy for any service request.

SAFETY

Read the instructions carefully before use and keep them for the future reference. Your child's safety may be affected if you do not follow these instructions.

1. The maximum weight of the child for the stand recommended by the manufacturer is 9kg (See the stand instructions).
2. The carrycot must not be used to transport / store products for current consumption.
3. Only use the stand approved or supplied by the

manufacturer

1. Always lay down your baby on his back.
2. It is strongly recommended that you keep your infant secured by using the fastening system of your carrycot, whether you are using it as a carriage, a pram or a portable seat.
3. Regularly air the inside of your carry cot in order to maintain its hygiene.
4. Do not use the rain cover in sunny weather because of excessive heat. Do not use the rain cover without the hood. Use only under adult supervision.
5. The carrycot must be facing you on the chassis. You must attach your child with the retaining harness of your carrycot when using it on the pram chassis or when carrying it.

• Do not add any additional matress other than the one provided with the safety carrycot.
• Use only on a firm ground which is horizontal, level and dry.
• Be aware of the risk of open fire and other source of strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc., in the near vicinity of the safety carrycot.

2. Use of the car safety kit is obligatory to provide the car cot function of the carrycot.

3. This car safety kit may only be used with the carrier for which it is intended.

4. For optimum safety of your baby in the event of lateral impact in a car cot, it is important not to position the child's head on the door side.

5. The carrier may only be fitted on the back seat of cars which are fitted with 2 or 3 point safety belts, whether they are the inertia reel type or not, which comply with regulation no. R16/ECE/EEG.
6. The carrycot is fitted to the rear seat of the vehicle at a right angle to the road, and solidly fixed to the seat.
7. Firmly tighten the carrycot against the seat of the vehicle. Please check that the belt is well tightened before driving.
8. Put the front seats as far forward as they will go so that the child does not come into contact with them.
9. Do not use carrier contact points other than those described.
10. It is recommended that the handles are not left in carrying position during use of the carrycot as a car cot. It is advisable to put them back into the carrycot.
11. For your safety and your child's, always fix the carrier in the vehicle; always strap your child in with the safety harness, however short the journey you are making.
12. After putting your child in place, ensure that the belt is suitably tight by pulling the strap. You should also check that the belt is not twisted.

13. In some vehicles, the safety belt strap may be too long and positioned too high. This prevents the carrycot from being fixed securely. If this happens, choose another location in the car. If you have any questions relating to this issue, you should contact the manufacturer.

14. Even minor shocks which happen as a result of a collision with another vehicle can transform your baby into a real projectile.

15. The user must always ensure that luggage or items that are likely to cause injury to the occupant of the carrier in the event of a collision must be securely stowed away.
16. Always check that no part of the safety kit or harness is trapped under a seat or in the door of the vehicle.
17. Never place heavy objects on the rear parcel shelf to avoid them being thrown during an accident.
18. Never make any modifications to the construction or materials of the car safety kit and the belt.
19. The child restraint must not be used without the cover. should not be replaced with any other than the one recommended by the manufacturer as the cover constitutes an integral part of the restraints performance.
20. Do not use the rain cover and the mosquito without the hood. Do not use the mosquito net inside the car. In case of emergencies it may restrict access to the child. Use only under adult supervision.
21. The temperature inside a car can get very high, especially after lengthy exposure to the sun. In these conditions it is strongly recommended to cover the harness with cloth or other material which will prevent the harness fitting/ fixtures, and other metal components, becoming too hot and burning your child.
22. Use only the accessories sold or approved by the manufacturer. The use of other accessories may be unsafe.
23. The rigid elements and plastic parts of a child car

seat must be fitted and positioned in such a way that, under the conditions of normal vehicle use, they cannot become trapped under a mobile seat or in the door of the vehicle. This child car seat is only effective when used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Under no circumstances should you modify this car seat in any way.

Our 24 months warranty covers all manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used in normal conditions and in accordance with our user manual. To request repairs or spare parts under warranty for defects in materials and workmanship you must present your proof of purchase, made within the 24 months preceding the service request.

Our 24 months warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidents, abusive use, negligence or the consequence of failing to comply with the user manual. Examples of normal wear and tear include wheels and fabric worn down by regular use and the natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended period of time and use.
