How to prepare the juicer for first use?

Remove the appliance from packaging, check all parts for integrity, thoroughly wash the bowl, strainer insert, cone and glass carafe with soapy water, then dry them. Mount the bowl on the motor unit, place the strainer insert, insert the cone onto the drive shaft.

Can I pour hot liquids into the glass carafe?

No, the glass carafe is not heat-resistant. Never pour hot liquids to avoid risk of injury or breakage.

How to clean the citrus juicer?

Unplug the appliance. Wipe the motor unit with a soft damp cloth. Wash the bowl, strainer insert, cone, carafe, cap and base by hand or in the dishwasher. Never immerse the motor unit in water.

What to do if the fruit press cone changes rotation direction quickly?

This means you are applying too much pressure. Reduce pressure on the cone until it rotates normally. Quick direction change is overload protection.

How many fruits can I juice at once?

You can juice up to 10 fruits (about 2 kg) continuously. After that, let the motor unit cool to room temperature before continuing.

Can I use the juicer without the glass carafe?

Yes, for small quantities (e.g., lemon juice). In this case, juice is collected in the bowl (capacity 100 ml). Make sure the spout valve is not obstructed.

How to store the appliance?

After cleaning and thorough drying, assemble the citrus juicer on the glass carafe, place the lid. Store in a dry, dust-free place.

What to do if juice leaks from the juicer when used without carafe?

Stop immediately. Remove the cone, insert and bowl to check the spout valve. A foreign object may be obstructing the valve. Remove it and reassemble.

Is the appliance suitable for all types of citrus fruits?

Yes, it is designed to juice lemons, oranges and grapefruits. Do not use for other foods or objects.

How to get maximum juice?

Press the fruits several times. Empty the strainer insert when full of pulp to maintain efficiency. Use fruits at room temperature for better yield.

This appliance is designed for the preparation of normal household quantities in the home, or in household-like, non-commercial environments. This appliance is suitable for pressing citrus fruits, such as lemons, oranges and grapefruits. It must not be used for processing other substances/objects. It must not be used for processing other substances/objects.

Only use the appliance indoors at room temperature and up to 2000m above sea level. Do not place the appliance on or near hot surfaces, e.g. hobs.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Keep children under 8 years of age away from the appliance and connecting cable and do not allow them to use the appliance. Never manually move the pressing cone/drive shaft.

The appliance may only be connected to a power supply with alternating current via a correctly installed socket with earthing. Ensure that the protective conductor system of the domestic supply has been correctly installed.

"Connect and operate the appliance only according to the type plate specifications. Use only if power cord and appliance show no signs of damage. To avoid potential hazards, repairs such as replacing a damaged cable must only be carried out by our customer service personnel. Do not connect the appliance to or operate it by means of a time

switch or remote control socket.

The mains cable must not come into contact with hot parts or be pulled across sharp edges. Never immerse the appliance or mains cable in water or place it in the dishwasher!

After each use, whenever the appliance is unsupervised, prior to assembly, prior to disassembly, prior to cleaning and in the event of an error, the appliance must always be disconnected from the mains. Prior to replacing accessories or replacement parts that are moved during operation, the appliance must be switched off and disconnected from the mains.

Before using for the first time

Before the new appliance can be used, this must be fully unpacked, cleaned and assembled. To do this, perform the following steps:

1. Remove the motor unit, glass carafe and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Remove the packaging material that is present.
3. Check all parts for completeness. Fig. A / B
4. Inspect all parts for visible damage.

Caution!

Never operate a damaged appliance!

1. Thoroughly clean and dry all parts before using for the first time.

Inspect the discharge valve before inserting the collecting tray. It must not be blocked by a foreign object.

1. Place the filter insert into the collecting tray and rotate until it clicks into place.
2. Position the pressing cone on the drive shaft.

Never manually move the pressing cone/ drive shaft.

The citrus press is prepared.

1. Place the glass carafe on the saucer.
   Note: Always use the saucer. This provides anti-slip protection and noise reduction.
2. Place the prepared citrus press onto the glass carafe until the opening is sealed tight.

The citrus press is prepared for use with the glass carafe.

Using the citrus press with the glass carafe

Use the citrus press with the glass carafe in order to press larger quantities of juice, such as freshly squeezed orange juice.

Caution!

The juice is collected in the glass carafe. The volume capacity of the glass carafe is 1.0 l. End the pressing procedure before the juice reaches the bottom edge of the motor unit.

1. Position the prepared citrus press with glass carafe on a stable and level work surface.
2. Connect the mains cable to the socket.
3. Position the halved citrus fruits with the cut surface on the pressing cone and press down.

The citrus press starts running once the pressed product is pressed onto the pressing cone. The pressing cone rotates either clockwise or anticlockwise. Once the pressed product is released and pressed once again, the pressing cone changes its rotation direction. If excess pressure is applied, the pressing cone changes the rotation direction in rapid succession. Reduce the pressure until the pressing cone rotates normally once more.

Caution!

Press a maximum of 10 fruits (approx. 2kg ) one after the other. Then halt the pressing procedure until the motor unit has once again reached room temperature. Only then should the pressing procedure be resumed.

Notes:

To obtain the largest amount of juice, the pressing procedure should be repeated a few times.
The filter insert with the rough peel and the seeds should be emptied if required.

1. To switch off the appliance, reduce the pressure on the pressing cone. The citrus press switches off automatically.
2. Disconnect the mains cable from the socket.
3. Remove the citrus press from the glass carafe.

The discharge valve closes automatically once the citrus press is removed from the glass carafe.

1. For the purpose of storage, for example in the refrigerator, seal the glass carafe with the lid.
2. To pour out the juice, remove the lid.

Using the citrus press without the glass carafe

Use the citrus press without the glass carafe in order to press smaller quantities of juice, such as lemon juice for use in baking or for seasoning fish.

Caution!

The juice is collected in the collecting tray. The volume capacity of the collecting tray is approx. 100ml . This corresponds approximately to the juice from 2 medium-sized lemons. End the pressing procedure before the juice reaches the top edge of the collecting tray.

1. Position the prepared citrus press on a stable and level work surface.
2. Connect the mains cable to the socket.
3. Press the citrus fruits as described. "Using the citrus press with the glass carafe" see page 13
4. Disconnect the mains cable from the socket.
5. Use the juice directly via the spout or pour into a container.

Before cleaning:

1. Remove the motor unit from the glass carafe.
2. Remove the pressing cone, the filter insert and the collecting tray.

Motor unit

Wipe down the motor unit with a soft, damp cloth and dry off.

Accessories

Clean the individual parts with a detergent solution and a soft cloth or sponge.

Note: The glass carafe, lid, saucer, collecting tray, filter insert, both pressing cones and the cover can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.

1. Fully assemble the citrus press and position on the glass carafe.
2. Replace the cover.

Dispose of packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner. Simple troubleshooting

Problem	Cause	Remedy
Juice runs out of the citrus press even though this is being used without the glass carafe.	The discharge valve is blocked by a foreign object.	Stop the pressing procedure immediately. Remove the pressing cone, the filter insert and the collecting tray from the motor unit. Remove the foreign objects from the discharge valve of the collecting tray. Reassemble the citrus press. Resume the pressing procedure.
	The filter insert is full.	Stop the pressing procedure immediately. Remove the pressing cone and the filter insert from the motor unit and clean them. Reassemble the citrus press. Resume the pressing procedure.
The glass carafe overflows during the pressing procedure.	Too many fruits have been pressed.	Stop the pressing procedure immediately. Fully clean the appliance and allow all parts to dry. ➔ "Care and daily cleaning" see page 14 Fully assemble the citrus press and position on the empty glass carafe. Resume the pressing procedure.
The pressing cone changes the rotation direction in rapid succession.	The pressure on the pressing cone is too high.	Reduce the pressure on the pressing cone until the pressing cone rotates normally once more.
